Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a cleaning device for Separating particles from a gas stream, in particular for oil separation systems in internal combustion engines, with those mentioned in the preamble of claim 1 Characteristics.
It is known to overpressure in internal combustion engines in a crankcase through a so-called crankcase ventilation balance. Because the given Crankcase gases at very high concentrations Can not have hydrocarbons without more are released into the surrounding atmosphere, but are in the intake tract of the internal combustion engine directed to the combustion chamber from there to become. So as not to burn the negative to influence, however, it is necessary with this so-called blowby gas entrained oil an oil separator system.
Here, the blowby gas is created using a vacuum source sucked out of the crankcase and via a a cleaning device having a filter element guided. The blowby gas is generated by means of the filter element cleaned, being carried in the blowby gas Oil mist is separated through the filter element. The separated oil is discharged fed to a collecting area of the internal combustion engine. The blowby gas cleaned of the oil becomes the Vacuum source supplied, which is usually from a Intake of the internal combustion engine is formed.
Is known as a filter element with a yarn use wrapped nonwoven element. This owns a certain porosity so that the blowby gas by means of of the vacuum can be sucked through the fleece. Here, the particles finely distributed in the blowby gas settle Oil droplets in the fleece. With the known Fleece winding is disadvantageous that this after a reached their saturation level for a certain period of time have and can no longer separate oil. Hereby there is a risk of increased oil admixture the cleaned blowby gas which, when continued in the intake of the internal combustion engine to an uncontrolled Operating the internal combustion engine can. On the other hand, clogging of the filter element leads to an impermissibly high pressure drop on Filter element, which ensures proper suction of the Blowby gas to the intake of the internal combustion engine at least severely disabled.
The cleaning device according to the invention particularly has the advantage of a very effective and even Cleaning effect of the gas flow from unwanted Particles. The fact that the cleaning device at least one positive guidance element for comprises the gas stream, the one at least once Change of direction of the gas flow when passing through causes the cleaning device, and the positive guide element at the same time forms the filter element, is advantageously possible effective deposition of particles from gas flows in a simple manner to reach. By changing the direction of the gas flow experiences when passing the positive guidance element, become the particles whose density is greater than the density of the gas flow tangent to the change in direction accelerates the gas flow and can so be separated. Especially when the positive guidance element at least in the direction of the gas flow two spaced and staggered Has baffle elements meet from the Gas flow particles to be separated on the impact elements and are caught by them. The Impact elements also serve to determine the Change of direction of the gas flow.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, that a variety of baffle elements on coaxial to a longitudinal axis of the positive guide element extending levels are arranged, the impact elements are preferably arranged so that the Gas flow a multiple change of direction when passing experienced by the cleaning device. So becomes a particularly effective separation of the particles possible from the gas stream. It is particularly advantageous if on any coaxial plane around the axis an equal number of impact elements arranged are, so that with reduced diameter the plane the distance of the baffle elements in one Level decreased. This will make the free passage area for the gas flow in the direction of the longitudinal axis the cleaning device less so that this accelerated with constant volume flow becomes. This enables a particularly good separation reach the particles from the gas stream.
In a further preferred embodiment of the invention it is provided that the baffle elements on a conical surface are supported by a holding element, a cone tip preferably with the central axis the cleaning device coincides. Hereby is achieved by the impact elements deposited particles on these, preferably after can slide down and onto the surface of the cone to meet. A lateral Leading the separated particles out of the Cleaning device done. So in particular in a continuous operation a safe one Particles can be separated from the gas stream.
In addition, in a preferred embodiment Invention provided that a feed opening for the Gas flow at an angle of preferably 90 ° to one Outflow opening arranged for the cleaned gas flow is. This will separate out particles effectively supported from the gas stream, in particular when the outflow opening faces upwards is so that as a result of acting on the particles Gravity separating them from the gas stream can be supported.
The cleaning effect remains with the invention Device almost over the entire operating time constant because the labyrinthine flow paths for the gas flow through the drain and drip option downward a reliable self-cleaning effect exhibit. The separation of the particles from the gas stream done by a perpendicular to the flow direction downward force on the heavier Particles due to gravity and makes the invention Cleaning device so independent of physical and / or chemical effects of a Filters that are barely constant over time would be hold.
Especially if the cleaning device in the oil separation system is used on internal combustion engines, is particularly advantageous that also through the long operating time almost constant cleaning effect the cleaning device according to the invention Combustion of the internal combustion engine from over one Blowby gas introduced oil fractions almost unaffected can stay. By knowing the constant Blowby gas parameters can be an existing one Engine management system more precise in terms of good Efficiency and low-emission combustion matched and can also meet the target values very precisely. Due to the constant over a long period of operation good separation effect has the invention Cleaning device also has the advantage on, the exhaust gas values with regard to undesired combustion products to keep at a very low level. Because the most known internal combustion engines catalytic converter downstream in the exhaust tract, usually referred to briefly as a catalyst, very sensitive undesirable combustion products such as oil from the lubrication circulation system of the internal combustion engine react is the most effective cleaning effect of the total combustion air and thus the Exhaust gases from such oil fractions necessary, what the cleaning device according to the invention with large Efficiency can be supported.
By fully recycling these particles in the sump of the crankcase of the internal combustion engine the oil consumption compared to conventional filter devices be lowered as no fleece or similar deposits withhold the oil and over the Operating time become increasingly saturated.
Further advantageous embodiments of the invention result from the rest, in the subclaims mentioned features.

At the foot of the
Figur 1b zeigt eine schematische Draufsicht auf die
Reinigungsvorrichtung 2 entsprechend Figur 1a. Erkennbar
A-A entspricht der Darstellung in Figur 1a.
24 angeordnet. Durch den kleiner werdenden
Durchmesser der Ebenen 16 verringert sich der Abstand
der Rundstäbe 18 in einer Ebene 16. So wird eine besonders
effektive Abscheidung der Ölanteile im
Blowby-Gas möglich.Figure 1b shows a schematic plan view of the

in Figur 1. Gleiche Teile wie dort sind

Figur 2a zeigt die Reinigungsvorrichtung 2 in einer
Schnittansicht. Die Prallelemente 12 haben hier die
Form von Kreissegmenten 20, die ebenfalls auf koaxialen
Ebenen 16 mit zunehmend geringerem Abstand um die
Mittelachse 24 des Gehäuses 3 angeordnet sind. Im
dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel sind vier, jeweils
eine Vielzahl von senkrecht auf Lücke angeordneten
Kreissegmenten 20 aufweisende, Ebenen 16 axial um die
Mittelachse 24 vorgesehen.
Figure 2a shows the
Innenseite der Ebenen 16.Another variant, in which instead of
Figur 2b zeigt eine schematische Draufsicht auf die
Reinigungsvorrichtung 2 entsprechend Figur 2a. Erkennbar
Figure 2b shows a schematic plan view of the
Figur 3 zeigt eine weitere Varianten einer Reinigungsvorrichtung
2 in einer schematischen Schnittansicht.
Gleiche Teile wie in den vorangegangenen Figuren
sind mit gleichen Bezugszeichen versehen und
nicht nochmals erläutert. In diesem Ausführungsbeispiel
Figure 3 shows a further variant of a
The cleaning effect, that is the separation of
Oil fractions in the
The structure of the wire mesh 40 used with regard the mesh spacing can be conveniently determine by experiment. Are also possible Combinations of different and preferably after the mesh spacing becomes finer at the top. Advantageous it can still be a wire mesh 40 with to combine differently fine wire screens 41.
