Definitions
- the invention relates to a doctor device for a device for Apply a liquid to pasty medium on a moving one Substrate, comprising one on a squeegee holder held squeegee unit, which can be pressed against the surface and one arranged between the doctor holder and the doctor unit pressure-elastic support arrangement, by means of which the doctor unit in at least two transverse support directions are pressure-elastic is supported on the squeegee holder, the pressure elasticity of the Support arrangement is adjustable in at least one of the support directions.
- Such a doctor device is for example from DE 42 09 566 A1 known.
- the doctor unit according to FIG. 6 of DE 42 09 566 A1 from a blade-like tipped squeegee formed, which is inserted into a recess of a retaining strip.
- the squeegee in a pressure-elastic cushion embedded, which for elastic storage of the squeegee in the direction tangential to the subsurface.
- a pressure hose on which the Squeegee is supported in the direction orthogonal to the substrate. The one in the Pressure hose prevailing pressure is controllable so that a desired one Pressure elasticity of the pressure hose can be adjusted.
- the aim is to have a layer of the apply liquid or pasty medium to the surface. This applies for both the longitudinal direction and the transverse direction of the substrate. Especially in the transverse direction, however, the order result is through gravity or thermal deformations of the squeegee holder negatively influenced. If these deformations are only orthogonal in the direction occur to the underground, the known from DE 42 09 566 A1 Embodiment offer effective remedy, because of the controllability of the Pressure in the pressure hose an optimal adjustment of the pressure elasticity the degree of deformation and to the desired contact pressure between the squeegee and the underground can be reached.
- the invention is based on the technical problem, a Squeegee device of the type described at the outset so that even with a complex deformation behavior of the squeegee holder even stroke application can be achieved.
- the Pressure elasticity of the support arrangement in at least two support directions is independently adjustable.
- the solution according to the invention is at least one more degree of freedom in setting the pressure elasticity the support assembly provided.
- the doctor device according to the invention is not a predetermined one Installation position tied, but rather in essentially any orientation relative to the surface, because by appropriate adjustment of the pressure elasticity of the support arrangement in the different support directions always the desired contact conditions be brought about between the doctor unit and the substrate can.
- a targeted cross-profiling of the stroke order is possible in that the pressure elasticity of the support arrangement in at least one of the support directions along the width of the Underground is variable.
- Cross-profiling does not only mean one non-uniform, for example wavy line cross profile by suitable To vary the pressure elasticity of the support arrangement, but also to deliberately create an uneven line cross-section, for example, if there is a thinner layer of the medium should be applied.
- the support arrangement can in itself with regard to its pressure elasticity any support direction can be adjustable. It is conceivable, for example, that a support direction of adjustable pressure elasticity - based on the area of the pressure contact of the squeegee unit with the substrate - approximately normal to the surface, but also that a direction of support adjustable pressure elasticity - related to the area of the pressure contact the squeegee unit with the substrate - almost tangential to the substrate runs. It can also be provided that a support direction is adjustable Pressure elasticity - related to the area of the pressure contact of the doctor unit with the underground - an acute angle with the underground includes. Two support directions are preferably adjustable Pressure elasticity approximately at right angles to one another. It is understood that two support directions adjustable pressure elasticity but also a sharp one or form an obtuse angle.
- the support arrangement comprises one a particularly pneumatic pressure medium supply connected Support hose arrangement with at least one support hose.
- the Support hose comprises at least one inner hose chamber, wherein the pressure medium supply for setting and maintaining a predetermined pressure is formed in the inner tube chamber.
- a such a support hose can compensate for deformation of the doctor blade holder, without getting between the doctor unit and the surface effective contact force changes significantly.
- the pressure elasticity of the Support hose can be influenced in a simple manner.
- each of at least two support directions is at least one Support hose assigned, the pressure medium supply then to independent attitudes and maintenance one each predetermined pressure in each of the inner tubes of the support tubes is executed.
- the support arrangement other pressure-elastic support components includes, for example, a piston-cylinder unit, which also as a pressure-elastic intermediate link between the doctor unit and the Doctor blade holder can act.
- a piston-cylinder unit which also as a pressure-elastic intermediate link between the doctor unit and the Doctor blade holder can act.
- support components adjustable pressure elasticity can be combined with support components, whose pressure elasticity cannot be influenced.
- the inner tube chamber can continuously coherently over the width of the subsurface which is transverse to the direction of movement extend.
- the pressure in the inner tube chamber is then at all points along the width of the substrate the same, which is why over the entire width of the substrate the same contact pressure between the doctor unit and the Underground is created unless other cross-profiling agents work.
- a targeted cross-profiling of the line width of the applied medium can however be achieved with the help of the support arrangement if the Support hose across the width of the Several separate inner hose chambers are distributed underground includes and the pressure medium supply to each other Setting and maintaining a predetermined pressure in each the inner tube chambers is formed. By setting different Then there are pressures in the individual inner tube chambers targeted local variations in the contact pressure between the doctor unit and the underground possible.
- the thickness of the application to be applied to the substrate Medium can also mechanical cross-profiling be provided, which on the doctor unit and / or on the Attack the squeegee holder.
- Such cross-profiling means can be set screws include, by means of which targeted deformations of the doctor unit or / and the squeegee holder can be located in local Changes in the contact pressure between the doctor unit and the Knock down underground.
- the doctor unit is formed by a flexible doctor blade or doctor bar.
- the Squeegee holder comprises an elongated squeegee beam on which the squeegee bed is held in particular by means of a leaf spring arrangement.
- the doctor device according to the invention is suitable both for predosing as well as for the final dosage of what is to be applied to the surface Medium.
- pre-dosing it is directly in the area of the job of the medium used, the doctor unit as an application element can be viewed and a rather rough dosage of applied medium.
- the doctor device is used for final dosing arranged and subjected far from the actual place of order pre-dosed medium of a last fine dosing.
- the doctor device according to the invention for cleaning an application roller used to remove paint residues and dirt particles from the application roller to scrape off.
- a doctor device is generally 10 designated. It is part of a commissioned work to apply a uniform Layer of a liquid or pasty application medium on itself on the squeegee 10 moving underground surface 12.
- the illustrated embodiment of FIG. 1 is the sub-surface 12 of the circumferential surface of an applicator roller 14 formed for indirect Apply the application medium on a material web, not shown Paper, cardboard or cardboard is used.
- the application medium can also can be applied directly to such a material web.
- the web of material in this case runs over a back-up roll that runs from the material web is wrapped around part of its circumference.
- the squeegee device 10 compensates for this on the sub-surface 12 applied medium and squeegee excess if necessary Application medium from the sub-surface 12. It includes one elongated doctor bar 16, on which by means of a leaf spring arrangement 18 a doctor bed 20 with a rotatably mounted therein Doctor rod 22 is held. Between the doctor bar 16 and the doctor bed 20 is a pressure-elastic support arrangement 24 is arranged over which the doctor bed 20 is supported on the doctor bar 16 in a pressure-elastic manner. The Support assembly 24 exerts a force on doctor bed 20, which in turn to generate a contact pressure between the doctor rod 22 and the Surface 12 leads.
- the support arrangement 24 is also similar Straightness inaccuracies of the squeegee bar 16 and of the sub-surface 12 out. It comprises two pneumatic hoses 26, 28, which are transverse to the direction of movement of the surface 12 (in Fig. 1 with a Arrow 30 indicated) over the entire width of the sub-surface 12 extend. Both pneumatic hoses 26, 28 each have at least one an inner tube chamber 32 which extends across the width of the sub-surface 12 can be continuous or one of several hose inner chambers can that in the direction of the width of the sub-surface 12 in a row are arranged.
- the inner hose chambers 32 of the pneumatic hoses 26, 28 are over Pneumatic lines 34 connected to a pneumatic pressure source 36.
- a pressure control valve 38 is inserted, the compensates for possible pressure fluctuations of the pneumatic pressure source 36 and for a constant pneumatic pressure in the inner tube chamber 32 of the pneumatic hose 26 or 28.
- the output side of the pressure control valves 38 delivered pneumatic pressure by means of a Control unit 40, such as a microprocessor, via control lines 42 be specified.
- the control of the pressure control valves 38 via the Control lines 42 can be pneumatic or electrical, for example respectively.
- independent pressure values be specified so that in the pneumatic hoses 26, 28 different Pressures can be set.
- pneumatic hoses 26, 28 are segmented, i.e. in the direction of the width of the sub-surface 12 several from each other comprise separate inner tube chambers 32, each of these inner tube chambers connected to its own pneumatic line 34, via the in the relevant inner tube chamber independently of others Inner hose chambers a predetermined pneumatic pressure is adjustable. In this way, one in the direction of the width of the sub-surface 12 varying pressure elasticity of the pneumatic hose 26, 28 in question be brought about. It is understood that the pressure setting in the Pneumatic hoses 26, 28 can take place within the framework of a regulation which depends on the measured product characteristics of one with the Application medium coated finished or intermediate product from the Control unit 40 corresponding pressure values at the pressure control valves 38 can be set.
- the product features mentioned include usually the measured line width of the to be painted Material applied medium, such as a coating color or a Glue mass, this measurement using for example optical sensors can be made.
- the two pneumatic hoses 26, 28 of the support arrangement 24 are in the Embodiment of FIG. 1 arranged so that the doctor bed 20 in two mutually orthogonal support directions on the doctor bar 16 support.
- the support direction assigned to the pneumatic hose 26 is shown in FIG 1 with 44, while the pneumatic hose 28th assigned support direction is designated 46.
- both close Support directions 44, 46 each form an acute angle with the sub-surface 12 a.
- this acute angle is ⁇ designated, while for the support direction with ⁇ .
- the two angles ⁇ , ⁇ are not equal. However, it is understood that the angles ⁇ , ⁇ can also be the same. This essentially depends on the installation position of the doctor device 10 relative to the subsurface 12.
- a major advantage of the doctor device according to the invention is that it for the installation position of the squeegee device 10 relative to the sub-surface 12 opens up a wide scope.
- the doctor device 10 in each selected installation position with a desired contact pressure under a desired angle of attack against the subsurface 12 become.
- the effective one Contact force between the doctor rod 22 and the surface 12 is due to the larger angle ⁇ mainly from the pneumatic hose 26 generated.
- the pressure in the pneumatic hose 28 and thus the pressure elasticity of the support arrangement 24 in the support direction 46 primarily with regard to supporting the dead weight of the doctor bed 20 and the doctor rod 22 can be adjusted while the pressure in the Pneumatic hose 26 and thus the pressure elasticity of the support arrangement 24 in the support direction 44 primarily with regard to the desired contact pressure can be adjusted. In a different installation position, these can Ratios to be completely different.
- the leaf spring arrangement 18 essentially forms an anti-rotation device for the doctor bed 20 so that this when the application roller 14 rotates Direction of movement 30 does not exceed the extent of the support arrangement 24 presented pressure elasticity relative to the doctor bar 16 is twisted. Torques acting on the doctor bed 20 are thus derived via the leaf spring arrangement 18 in the doctor bar 16.
- the Leaf spring assembly 18 includes in the illustrated embodiment Fig. 1 two leaf springs 48 which are fixedly attached to the doctor bar 16 are coupled with play to the doctor bed 20, as at 50 indicated. This movement play of the leaf springs 48 facilitates the pressure-elastic mobility of the doctor bed 20 relative to the doctor bar 16 in the support directions 44, 46.
- the cross-profiling device 52 comprises in the exemplary embodiment 1 several in the direction of the width of the subsurface 12 distributed adjusting screws 54, each in one Threaded bore 56 are screwed into the doctor bed 20.
- the Doctor bed 20 is a continuous across the width of the sub-surface 12 Slit 58 incorporated, in which a slot boundary surface 60 die Threaded holes 56 open and at the opposite Slit delimitation surface 62 with its set screws 54 remote from the head Are supported at the end.
- the Set screws 54 By tightening the set screws 54, the Slot 58 widened, resulting in a local "thickening" of the Doctor bed 20 leads. This thickening translates into a locally elevated Contact force between the doctor rod 22 and the surface 12 without the pressure in the pneumatic hoses 26, 28 would have to be changed.
- the set screws 54 are tightened in a suitable manner or can be loosened, a desired cross profile of the stroke width of the medium to be applied.
- Fig. 2 are the same or equivalent components with the same Reference numerals as in Fig. 1 provided, but supplemented by the lower case "a". 2 differs from that of Fig. 1 essentially only by a different embodiment the mechanical cross-profiling device 52a, which is why in the following only this is discussed. Otherwise, reference is made to the description of FIG. 1 referenced.
- the pneumatic hose 26a is on a sliding piece 64a arranged, which in a tavern 66a of the doctor bar 16a in Support direction 44a is slidably held.
- the sliding piece 64a has at its end facing away from the pneumatic hose 26a Threaded bore 68a, in which the adjusting screw 54a engages.
- the Set screw 54a is in turn through a through hole 70a further legs 72a spaced from leg 66a of the doctor bar 16a inserted and can by means of two threaded nuts 74a are fixed in their position relative to this leg 72a.
- the adjusting screw 54a can be actuated by loosening the nuts 74a, around the sliding piece 64a in a desired position relative to the doctor bed To bring 20a.
- doctor bar 16a can thus be local “thickened” or “thinned", which is reflected in a corresponding local change of the effective contact pressure between the doctor rod 22a and the underground surface 12a.
