Abstract
Es wird eine Polarisationsweiche zur Ausleuchtung des parabolischen Reflektors einer Richtantenne angegeben, die aus einem zur simultanen Übertragung zweier orthogonaler, linear polarisierter elektromagnetischer Wellen geeigneten, als Hohlleiter ausgebildeten Formkörper (7) besteht. An den Formkörper (7) sind zwei die beiden elektromagnetischen Wellen getrennt führende Rechteckhohlleiter angeschlossen. Der eine Rechteckhohlleiter ist im Verlauf des Formkörpers (7) mit seiner Stirnseite in radialer Richtung auf denselben auftreffend mit dessen Wandung verbunden, während der andere Rechteckhohlleiter an einer Stirnseite des Formkörpers (7) an denselben angeschlossen ist. Beide Rechteckhohlleiter sind über Öffnungen elektromagnetisch mit dem Formkörper (7) verbunden, zwischen denen innerhalb desselben ein Kurzschlußelement (10) angeordnet ist. Zur Vermeidung von gesonderten Abstimmelementen ist zwischen dem radial angeschlossenen Rechteckhohlleiter und der zugehörigen, als Blende (9) ausgeführten Öffnung ein als Hohlraum (11) mit etwa rechteckigem Querschnitt ausgebildeter erster Übergang angebracht, in dem zwei in Achsrichtung verlaufende, von den breiteren Wandungen des Hohlraums (11) abstehende und einander fluchtend gegenüber liegende Stege angeordnet sind. Außerdem ist zwischen dem Formstück (7) und dem stirnseitig angeschlossenen Rechteckhohlleiter ein einen Hohlraum mit etwa rechteckigem Querschnitt umschließender, in Stufen verlaufender zweiter Übergang (8) angebracht, wobei der Rechteckhohlleiter mit seiner Stirnseite mit dem zweiten Übergang (8) verbunden ist. A polarizing switch for illuminating the parabolic reflector of a directional antenna is specified, which consists of a shaped body (7) designed as a waveguide and suitable for the simultaneous transmission of two orthogonal, linearly polarized electromagnetic waves. Two rectangular waveguides which separate the two electromagnetic waves are connected to the molded body (7). One rectangular waveguide is connected in the course of the shaped body (7) with its end face hitting it radially with the wall thereof, while the other rectangular waveguide is connected to one end face of the shaped body (7). Both rectangular waveguides are electromagnetically connected to the shaped body (7) via openings, between which a short-circuit element (10) is arranged within the same. To avoid separate tuning elements, a first transition designed as a cavity (11) with an approximately rectangular cross section is arranged between the radially connected rectangular waveguide and the associated opening designed as a diaphragm (9), in which two axially extending, from the wider walls of the cavity (11) protruding and mutually aligned webs are arranged. In addition, between the shaped piece (7) and the rectangular waveguide connected at the end there is a second transition (8) which surrounds a cavity and has an approximately rectangular cross section, the front of the rectangular waveguide being connected to the second transition (8).
