Definitions
- the invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a fabric a fabric edge present on both side edges of the fabric and one temporarily existing catch strip with catch edge, the fabric on weaving machines will be produced.
- Edges of a fabric are the free ends of the weft threads by means of so-called Leno threads through a full twist weave using specially developed threads Turning edge devices tied.
- the fabric edge is created by means of so-called leno threads, which bind the weft threads on both sides of the fabric by means of known leno edge devices.
- leno threads which bind the weft threads on both sides of the fabric by means of known leno edge devices.
- rotary edge rotators with reversible direction of rotation of the rotating body guiding the leno threads are used.
- Such rotary edge turners are known from DE 44 05 776 C1 and from DE 44 05 777 C1.
- the catch strip is formed on air jet weaving machines as on rapier weaving machines by at least 8 catch strip threads which bind the relevant ends of the weft threads.
- the catch strip threads are wound on catch strip spools which, as already mentioned, hold at least 8 to 20 catch strip threads. With the amount of catch strip threads, a relatively wide and thus material-intensive catch strip is produced.
- the catch strip It is also known to form the catch strip with a conventional multi-thread cross-driver, for example a so-called four-thread cross-driver.
- the disadvantage here is that the leno threads must consist of a material that withstands the mechanical stresses, such as thread deflections, in the Phillips screwdriver. Such leno threads consist of more or less tear-resistant material, for example synthetic material.
- This is accompanied by the disadvantage that there is no pure waste, ie the catch strip is made of natural weft yarn, while the leno threads are made of synthetic yarn.
- the known multi-thread twists especially in air jet looms, do not withstand a high machine speed.
- Rotary edge rotators with or without reversible direction of rotation of the rotating body guiding the leno threads are preferably used on high-speed weaving machines to form high-quality fabric edges.
- the safety edge to be formed is produced using a conventional turning device.
- the conventional lathe devices can only be used to a limited extent in high-speed weaving machines due to their mechanics. This makes it clear that when using a rotary edge driver in combination with a conventional catch rail driver, the advantages of the rotary edge driver cannot be realized. Although a high-quality fabric edge is realized, the speed and thus the productivity of the weaving machine are limited by these mechanically working catch rail drivers.
- the object of the invention is to provide a method for forming both a fabric edge and a tuck edge during the manufacture of a fabric on weaving machines, according to which the weft threads can be firmly tied on both sides of the fabric and a high-quality and durable fabric edge and a temporary tuck edge can be produced with a safety edge. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to provide a device for carrying out the method which, inter alia, makes it possible to minimize the waste of weft threads and catch strip threads and to dispense with means for producing a conventional catch strip. Furthermore, it is an object of the invention to enable a largely pure catch strip in fabric production in order to ensure the recyclability of the catch strip material, and finally it is the object of the invention to specify suitable means for carrying the device within the weaving machine.
- the tasks are characterized by the features of claims 1, 2; 11, 12 and 28 solved. It is essential to the invention for the formation of the catching edge that the full-turn technology according to DE patents 44 05 776 and 44 05 777 with or without reversing the direction of rotation of a rotating body guiding the leno threads is also used for forming the catching strips.
- the fabric edge and the tuck edge are each formed on a fabric as a full-turn edge by reversible or non-directionally rotating rotation of the leno threads and the rotating body guiding the tuck threads of a first and a second rotary edge driver.
- a support device that is essential to the invention Receives device according to claims 11 to 27 within the loom and with the position of the device in the loom is variable.
- the device consists of a first rotary edge-turning device 12 and a second rotary edge-turning device 13.
- the structure, the arrangement and the mode of operation of both edge-turning devices is described comprehensively in DE 44 05 777 C1, so that repetitions are made at this point is waived.
- Each of the edge rotators 12, 13 has a leno thread 7 or a rotating body 12a guiding the retaining strip threads 9 with thread guide eyelets 12b (not visible here) and a rotating body 13a with thread guiding eyelets 13b guiding the retaining strip threads.
- Both edge rotators 12, 13 are connected to a rotary drive 14 so that they can be driven in rotation.
- the rotary drive 14 is controlled by a drive control 15.
- the rotating body 12a, 13a By each half a rotation of the rotating body 12a, 13a about the central axis 25, the rotating body 12a with the leno threads 7 forms a fabric selvage compartment 8 and the rotating body 13a forms a catch strip compartment 10 approximately in synchronization with the formation of the shed 6 with the warp threads 5.
- the means for forming the shed 6 are not shown here because they are generally known.
- At least one weft thread 4 is inserted into the opened compartments 6, 8, 10 from the entry side of the shed 6 to the arrival or pull-out side by means of pneumatic or mechanical entry elements.
- the weft thread 4 entered here in the compartments 6, 8, 10 is up to the stop by the reed 27 on the stop edge 1a, 2a of the fabric 1 or the fabric edge 2 and by the auxiliary reed 28 on the stop edge 3a of the tuck edge 3 and up to Tying held by the shedding organs on the extract side of the shed 6 by the weft insertion process 26.
- a shed is again formed by means of synchronous control by the shed forming organs, and a weave strip and catch strip compartment is formed again by each half-rotation of the rotating bodies 12a, 13a, into which at least one weft thread is again inserted.
- At least one holding or stretching device 29, 30 is provided on both sides of the fabric 1. Due to the coaxial arrangement of the two rotary edge rotators 12, 13, a fabric alley 16 is formed between the fabric edge 2 and the safety edge 3, see also FIG. 5, into which a separating device 17 engages and separates the safety edge from the fabric 1 at a given time.
- each rotary edge rotator 12, 13 of the device is equipped with its own rotary drive 14. This makes it possible to control each rotary edge turner individually, in particular with regard to the reversal of the direction of rotation and the point in time at which the weft threads bind to form the pull-out catch edge 3.
- the catch strip threads 9 for the catch strip edge like the leno threads 7 for the fabric edge 2, are drawn off from bobbins 21 and 20 arranged on holders 19 and 18, the holders 18, 19 being fixed in place.
- the coils 20,21 on a non-illustrated, driven spool holder arranged.
- Such a rotating spool holder is required, firstly, none mutual wrapping of the leno threads 7 and secondly no mutual Wrapping the catcher threads 9 on the way between the rotating bodies 12a, 13a and the coil 20,21 arise.
- the device consists of a first rotary edge driver 12 and a second rotary edge driver 13.
- the structure, arrangement and mode of operation of both edge rotators are disclosed in DE 44 05 776 C1. It is essential to the invention here that both rotary bodies 12a, 13a are the rotors of an electromotive actuator.
- both edge rotators form a structural unit, which is received by a carrying device 22.
- the formation of the fabric strip and catch strip compartment takes place analogously to the functioning of the device according to FIG. 2.
- Each edge turner 12, 13 can be individually controlled and operated via the drive control 15 in accordance with the weaving shed formation.
- the support device 22 as a whole can be connected to the weaving machine via the elongated holes 22a 'by corresponding machine elements and can be positioned in the direction of the double arrow 32.
- At least a second and third component 22b, 22c are connected to the first component 22a.
- the third component 22c is arranged in one plane only in the direction of the double arrow 33 to be pivotable about a vertical axis 23.
- the edge rotators 12, 13 combined to form a structural unit are connected to the third component 22c in such a way that the unit can be displaced along the central axis 24 of the component 22c and can be pivoted about this central axis. In the case of warps with a wide spread, the difficulty of the structural unit is particularly advantageous.
- the leno threads 7 and the catch strip threads 9 are also drawn off from bobbins here, as already shown in FIG.
- FIG. 4 shows two rotating bodies 12a, 13a rotatable about the central axis 25 Thread guide eyelets 12b, 13b.
- the rotating bodies are corresponding to the device according to FIG. 2 or FIG. 3 educated.
- the catch strip compartment 10 the weft 4 by some Degrees of rotation angle .alpha.
- the Rotation of the rotating body 13b hurries the rotation of the rotating body 12b both in Forward according to arrow 34 and after reversing direction in the return according to arrow 35 ahead.
- the measure of the leading rotation i.e. the amount ⁇ is free in the drive control 15 programmable.
- FIG. 5 shows a device with different rotary drives 14 arranged on the entry side of the shed 6. While an edge rotator 13 with an integral rotary drive is provided for forming the fabric edge 2, that is to say the rotating body 13a is the rotor of an electromotive actuator, the catching edge 3 is made by means of an externally driven rotating body 12a formed.
- the drives of the two edge rotators are controlled by a drive controller 15.
- the ends of the set weft threads 4 are preferably held pneumatically stretched from a holding device 30 to the entry into a not-shown holding device.
- Figure 6 shows a device as already shown in Figure 5.
- the ratio of the number of reversals of the rotation direction of the rotary body 13 per fabric section 31 is different from one, that is, the rotation direction of the rotary bodies 12a, 13a is not reversed after each weft thread entry.
- the safety edge 3 can have a weft density higher than that which can be achieved with any other known rotary system. It is therefore essential to the invention that for each tissue section 31 or weft sequence the ratio of the reversals of rotation of a device consisting of two rotary edge rotators 12, 13 for forming a tissue edge 2 and a safety edge 3 can be varied as desired and that this variation can be freely programmed.
- FIG. 7 shows catch strip threads 9 which, by rotating the rotary body 12 a in one direction, form the ends of the weft threads 4 by means of full-twist bindings to form a catch strip with catch strip edge 3.
- the point of the reversal of the direction of rotation cannot be seen visually in the catch edge 3 as well as in the fabric edge 2. It is therefore not shown in the present example that the direction of rotation of the rotating body 12a has been reversed.
- FIG. 8 shows the leno threads 7, which are rotated in one by rotating the rotating body 13a Towards the ends of the weft threads 4 by means of full twist ties to a fabric edge 2 train. Due to the free programming of the rotary edge wrenches 12, 13 are Tying variants for the weft threads 4 are conceivable, e.g. so-called misfires, which can be implemented in the same way in edge 2 and 3.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a method and an apparatus for producing a fabric a fabric edge present on both side edges of the fabric and one temporarily existing catch strip with catch edge, the fabric on weaving machines will be produced.
To produce a high quality and permanently firm fabric edge on the Edges of a fabric are the free ends of the weft threads by means of so-called Leno threads through a full twist weave using specially developed threads Turning edge devices tied.
Turning edge devices that can produce fabric edges with the required quality and are also outstandingly suitable for working with fast-running weaving machines, ie with weaving machines that achieve a high weft insertion rate, are known from DE 44 05 776 C1 and from DE 44 05 777 C1 .
In the manufacture of fabrics on weaving machines, as is generally known, due to the inherent elasticity in the longitudinal direction of the thread, there is a requirement to prevent the ends of the inserted and tied weft thread from springing back against the weft insertion direction.
For this purpose, together with the weaving process for the fabric, a so-called catch strip is formed on the weft insertion side and the weft pull-out or weft arrival side of the shed in addition to a fabric edge.
The fabric edge is created by means of so-called leno threads, which bind the weft threads on both sides of the fabric by means of known leno edge devices.
In high-speed weaving machines, so-called rotary edge rotators with reversible direction of rotation of the rotating body guiding the leno threads are used. Such rotary edge turners are known from DE 44 05 776 C1 and from DE 44 05 777 C1.
Fangleiste produziert. The catch strip is formed on air jet weaving machines as on rapier weaving machines by at least 8 catch strip threads which bind the relevant ends of the weft threads.
The catch strip threads are wound on catch strip spools which, as already mentioned, hold at least 8 to 20 catch strip threads.
With the amount of catch strip threads, a relatively wide and thus material-intensive catch strip is produced.
It is also known to form the catch strip with a conventional multi-thread cross-driver, for example a so-called four-thread cross-driver.
The disadvantage here is that the leno threads must consist of a material that withstands the mechanical stresses, such as thread deflections, in the Phillips screwdriver. Such leno threads consist of more or less tear-resistant material, for example synthetic material. This is accompanied by the disadvantage that there is no pure waste, ie the catch strip is made of natural weft yarn, while the leno threads are made of synthetic yarn.
Furthermore, there are disadvantages in that the known multi-thread twists, especially in air jet looms, do not withstand a high machine speed. There is premature wear and, in connection with this, high costs due to replacement and assembly services.
There is also a disadvantage that in the case of an automatic weft breakage remedy which requires the previously closed shed to be reopened (weaving backwards), the catch strip compartment which sets the defective weft thread is not always released. As a result, the shot break repair cannot be carried out with the desired efficiency.
Another disadvantage is that the conventional leno devices "preprocess" the catch strip against the binding point of the shed or the stop edge of the fabric in the direction of the catch strip spool, especially on the weft arrival side of the shed. In this area, the weft thread is less compared to the weft insertion side curious; excited.
Grenzen gesetzt.Rotary edge rotators with or without reversible direction of rotation of the rotating body guiding the leno threads, as are known from the above-mentioned DE patents, are preferably used on high-speed weaving machines to form high-quality fabric edges.
The safety edge to be formed is produced using a conventional turning device.
However, the conventional lathe devices can only be used to a limited extent in high-speed weaving machines due to their mechanics.
The object of the invention is to provide a method for forming both a fabric edge and a tuck edge during the manufacture of a fabric on weaving machines, according to which the weft threads can be firmly tied on both sides of the fabric and a high-quality and durable fabric edge and a temporary tuck edge can be produced with a safety edge.

According to Figure 1, the device consists of a first rotary edge-turning

The device shown here is a rotary edge rotator arranged on the right side in the weaving machine; a further device of the same construction is arranged on the left-hand side in the weaving machine, as shown for example in FIGS. 5 and 6.
Gewebe 1 abtrennt. In order to be able to supply the free ends of the

18 angeordneten Spulen 21 bzw. 20 abgezogen,
wobei die Halter 18,19 ortsfest gelagert sind.In FIG. 2, each

In the event that the direction of rotation of the
In FIG. 3, the device consists of a first

bereits in Figur 2 dargestellt.The

FIG. 4 shows two
The rotating bodies are corresponding to the device according to FIG. 2 or FIG. 3 educated.
programmierbar. With regard to the time of the setting of the weft threads in the
gestreckt gehalten.FIG. 5 shows a device with different rotary drives 14 arranged on the entry side of the

Figure 6 shows a device as already shown in Figure 5.

einzustellen. In summary, it can be stated that the technology known per se for
