It will be recognized that "spill-proof" closures of the type disclosed herein are particularly advantageous for use in combination with the cup 10 of the present invention as liquid contained within the cup is generally dispensed only upon a sucking action by the toddler user. When the liquid dispensing cup is in a horizontal position, such as if it were accidently knocked on its side, or if the cup is violently shaken by the toddler, the spill-proof closure 28 will prevent liquid from exiting the cup through the spout 30.
  • the closure 28 is non-vented, i.e., the closure includes one or more apertures through the spout 30 through which liquid is dispensed without having a second "venting" aperture through the closure.
  • the spout 30 extends upwardly from closure 28 adjacent its periphery and the spout 30 is contoured to facilitate sipping by a toddler. In this way the elimination of a second "venting" aperture greatly improves the "spill-proof" capability of the closure. It will be appreciated that other types of closures, with or without spill-proof capability, are readily adaptable for use with the liquid dispensing cup of the present invention.

Claims (8)

  1. Distributeur de liquide comprenant un conteneur (10) de liquide en plastique moulé d'un seul bloc, pourvu de parties supérieure et inférieure (12, 14) généralement cylindriques, les parties supérieure et inférieure (12, 14) étant jointes d'une manière permettant une communication de fluide par deux sections tubulaires (16, 18) s'étendant de manière longitudinale et solidaires avec elles, destinées à être saisies par un utilisateur, les parties supérieure et inférieure (12, 14) et les deux sections tubulaires (16, 18) définissant une ouverture centrale (22) à travers le conteneur (10), et comprenant une fermeture (28) en plastique pouvant être emboítée de manière amovible avec la partie supérieure (12) du conteneur, caractérisé en ce que le distributeur est une tasse distributrice à l'usage d'un jeune enfant, le conteneur étant une tasse (10), en ce que les sections tubulaires (16, 18) sont dimensionnées de manière à être saisies facilement par un jeune enfant lors de l'utilisation de la tasse, et en ce que la fermeture (28) est pourvue d'un bec (30) moulé solidaire permettant une communication de fluide avec l'intérieur de la tasse (10) afin de boire des gorgées du liquide contenu dans celle-ci, la tasse (10) en plastique et le bec (30) de la fermeture permettant au jeune enfant de faire la transition entre le biberon avec une tétine et une tasse ordinaire.
  2. Distributeur de liquide selon la revendication 1, dans lequel chacune des sections tubulaires (16, 18) a une dimension circonférentielle qui est moins importante à proximité d'un point médian de l'ouverture centrale (22) qu'au niveau de la jonction de chacune des sections tubulaires (16, 18) avec les parties supérieure et inférieure (12, 14).
  3. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une des revendications 1 ou 2, dans lequel la fermeture (28) est un couvercle du type couvercle à visser et la partie supérieure de la tasse est pourvue d'une formation filetée (32) intégralement moulée et destinée à coopérer avec la fermeture (28), une fermeture étanche aux fluides étant formée entre la tasse et la fermeture.
  4. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la fermeture (28) est une fermeture évitant les risques de renversement.
  5. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la fermeture (28) n'a pas d'orifice d'aération.
  6. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le bec (30) moulé solidaire s'étend vers le haut de manière adjacente à la périphérie de la fermeture (28).
  7. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel le bec (30) est profilé de manière à ce qu'un jeune enfant puisse facilement boire des gorgées de liquide.
  8. Distributeur de liquide selon l'une quelconque des revendications précédentes, dans lequel la tasse (10) en plastique et la fermeture (28) sont en polyéthylène ou polycarbonate.
