Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to the exclusive field of mail processing. It relates more particularly to a franking can handle stacks of large mail items dimensions in a reduced volume.
Currently, conventional machines, which are for some of them of a quite relative modularity, present power and storage assemblies with variable height. In particular, the machines having to frank a large number of articles of mail and consequently having strong supply capacities and storage and high processing rates, have generally an overall length necessarily high. Indeed, these strong storage capacities require input as well as output from this machine takes up height and / or length particularly important, which affects the general ergonomics of the machine and therefore limits its ease of use. This is all the more remarkable in the models with a label unwinder, the very large diameter imposes a relatively complex machine structure. The European application EP 0 718 799 perfectly illustrates the problem posed by integrating a label dispenser into a franking machine of the classic type.
The present invention relates to a machine for processing mail allowing the processing of a large capacity of mail items while having a particularly small footprint compared to that machines of the prior art. Another object of the invention is to integrate to this machine a label dispenser without increasing the size.
These goals are achieved by a mail processing machine comprising a base, a station for supplying mail items and a storage station for these articles after processing in the base, this base having a printhead for printing fingerprints on mail items from a post office store feed and conveyor rollers to transport these items, along a transportation path from this base to a post store storage, command and control means, means display and processing means being further provided for the management of this machine, machine characterized in that said path transport of the base is inclined at a determined angle with respect to the horizontal, between a few degrees, preferably 10 °, and a few tens of degrees, preferably 30 °.
The inclination of the transport path thus optimizes the size of the processing machine for stack heights of important mail.
The mail item supply station store can rotate around a hinge pin to give it a tilt determined with respect to the horizontal. This tilt of the store supply is between 0 ° and a few tens of degrees, from preferably 30 °. Advantageously, the inclination of the food store corresponds to that of the transport path from the base of the machine.
Due to the inclination of the transport path, the base of the machine may have a label dispenser arranged as close as possible to the print head under it, without the initial size of this base is in no way modified by this addition. In addition, the journey made by the labels in the base is considerably simplified.
- FIG. 1 represents a mail processing machine according to the invention, and
- Figure 2 is an elevational view of a franking machine of the prior art.
machine.Let’s first look at Figure 2 which shows a
free from the prior art. This includes, on a work table 2 to
height of the operator, a
It is important to note that with this conventional structure,
the storage capacity, in vertical position, at
Figure 1 schematically illustrates a mail processing, or franking machine, according to the invention, the power and storage capacity is improved and which, moreover, allows to get rid of the external realization of a label dispenser.
This machine has, as before, on a
In accordance with the invention, the
According to an advantageous alternative embodiment, the
- de faciliter le dépilage des plis à acheminer ;
- de plaquer le rabat d'une enveloppe sur le corps même de celle-ci ;
- to facilitate the unstacking of the folds to be conveyed;
- to press the flap of an envelope on the same body thereof;
- to adapt the supply of pleats according to their format and thickness, for example by raising the magazine if the format is large, or by lowering the magazine if the thickness is high.
