Abstract

Eine Glastür für Brandschutzzwecke mit einer einen im Brandfall aufschäumenden Schutzwirkstoff enthaltenden Brandschutzscheibe setzt sich aus einem Rahmen mit Metallprofilen zusammen, wobei die einzelnen Rahmenteile im Querschnitt U-förmig gestaltet sind mit Schenkeln (10), die sich parallel zu den Flächen der Brandschutzscheibe (4) erstrecken, und einem Steg (13) zwischen den Schenkeln (10). Um eine Glastür mit schmalen Stahlrahmen zu schaffen, deren Rahmenkonstruktion sich preiswert, mit sehr geringem Montageaufwand und aus wenigen Einzelteilen herstellen läßt, besteht das Metallprofil aus einem langgestreckten, durch mehrfaches Biegen verformten Metallstreifen, und der so mitgebildete Steg (13) ist mit einer Einbuchtung (19) nach innen zu der Stirnfläche (15) der Brandschutzscheibe (4) hin versehen. In der Einbuchtung (19) ist ein Streifen (20) aus unter Hitzeeinwirkung aufschäumendem Material angeordnet. Vorgeschlagen wird ferner ein Verfahren zum Herstellen einer Glastür für Brandschutzzwecke, bei dem zunächst nur drei der insgesamt vier Rahmenteile zur Bildung eines dreiseitigen Teilrahmens fest miteinander verbunden werden, dann die Brandschutzscheibe (4) in den so gebildeten Teilrahmen eingeschoben wird und schließlich das noch fehlende letzte Rahmenteil befestigt wird.
