  2. The selection method according to Claim 1, characterised in that said stress (F3) is substantially equal to the resultant of the forces of friction (F1, F2) exerted by its environment (15, 24) on said hook (9) and forces of inertia.
  3. A device for the selection of the mobile hooks of a shedding mechanism (7) of a jacquard loom comprising at least one hook (9) moved by a blade (10) between an upper dead point position, in or close to which said hook can be immobilised by a selection device (15, 16), and a lower dead point position, characterised in that it comprises elastic stop means (20-23, 40, 41) for said hook in its upper dead point position, said means being suited to exert individually on said hook, on each passage of said hook in its upper dead point position or close thereto and solely in the vicinity of this position, a stress (F3) tending to push said hook towards its lower dead point position.
  4. The selection device according to Claim 3, characterised in that it comprises two hooks (9) moved alternately by two blades (10) actuated in alternate movements in phase opposition, said elastic stop means (20-23, 40, 41) being suited to cooperate with said two hooks.
  5. The selection device according to Claim 3, characterised in that said elastic stop means (20-23) comprise a lever (20) suited to be displaced, against the force of a spring (23), by said hook (9) when the latter reaches its upper dead point position.
  6. The selection device according to Claims 4 and 5, characterised in that said lever (20) is provided with two extensions (20a, 20b) suited to rest against said two hooks (9) when the latter reach their upper dead point position.
  7. The selection device according to Claims 5 or 6, characterised in that said lever (20) rests simply, under the effect of the force of said spring (23) on two axes (21, 22) about which it is suited to pivot, said lever being suited to pivot about an axis situated opposite a hook (9) which displaces it.
  8. The selection device according to Claim 3, characterised in that said elastic stop means comprise a torsion spring (40).
  9. A jacquard loom comprising a selection device according to any of Claims 3 to 8.
