Abstract

The door is raised vertically by a drum (14), driven by an electric motor, which activates operating links fastened to the door. The motor is coupled to an intermediate plate (34), which has a predetermined rotational play, on the drum fixed support (20). A pawl (36), mounted near the drum and coupled to the intermediate plate, pivots into a predetermined position to engage a stop (28) when the intermediate piece is rotated consecutively consequent to a failure of the door retainer. The fixed support forms a bearing for the shaft (16) to which the drum is fixed. The intermediate plate, which is located in an axial extension of the shaft, has rectangular holes (38) in which guide bolts (40) are engaged. Claims (10)

  1. Device for raising a vertically movable door, of the type comprising a winder (14) driven by an electric motor and adapted to actuate manoeuvring links (11) attached to said door, characterised in that said motor is coupled to an intermediate piece (34) mounted with predetermined rotary clearance on a fixed support (20) of said winder and in that a pivoting catch (36) is mounted in the vicinity of said winder in order to be able to pivot into a predetermined position, able to cause it to cooperate with a stop (28) on said winder, when said intermediate piece rotates following a failure in the retaining of the door.
  2. Device according to Claim 1, characterised in that said catch (36) is mounted on said fixed support (20) and is coupled to said intermediate piece (34).
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2, characterised in that said winder is fixed to a rotary shaft (16), said fixed support (20) forming for example a rotation bearing for it, in that said intermediate piece (34) is situated axially in line with said shaft and in that the rotation axis thereof is identical with that of said shaft.
  4. Device according to one of Claims 1 to 3, characterised in that said intermediate piece (34) or said fixed support (20) has oblong holes (38), whilst said fixed support or said intermediate piece, respectively, has guidance elements (40), for example consisting of bolts or the like, engaged in said oblong holes.
  5. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that said pivoting catch (36) is mounted on a journal (42) fixed to said fixed support (20) and in that it has a stud (44) engaged in a hole (45) in said intermediate piece (34).
  6. Device according to Claim 5, characterised in that a spring (48) is mounted between said fixed support and said intermediate piece in order to force the latter towards a stable position in which said catch is distant from an aforementioned stop (28) on said winder.
  7. Device according to one of Claims 3 to 6, characterised in that said shaft (16) is a hollow shaft which protects said electric motor and in that the latter is coupled to said intermediate piece at the centre of rotation thereof.
  8. Device according to Claim 7, characterised in that said motor is associated with a mechanical gearbox (22) housed in said hollow shaft.
  9. Device according to Claim 8, characterised in that said hollow shaft has longitudinal flutes by means of which it is coupled internally to said gearbox.
  10. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that said hollow shaft has longitudinal flutes which externally form aforementioned stops (28) with which said catch is able to cooperate.
