Definitions
- the invention relates to a sunshade curtain with a drop rod, the ends of which are guided on lateral guide elements, and locking members, which are arranged at the lower ends of the guide elements and prevent the drop rod in its lower end position from moving in the direction of entry.
- the locking devices can be clamped in the grooves of the side guide rails, they can be adjusted in their vertical position.
- the lateral guide elements as wire ropes or spokes are formed, for reasons of stability, the locking members cannot be attached to the rope or the spoke at any height, but only to the lower brackets of the ropes or spokes.
- a vertical setting range which may be necessary to compensate for manufacturing tolerances, for example, is then only available on a very small scale.
- the object of the invention is to provide a sun protection curtain in which the drop rod can also be locked with a height-correctable end position with ropes or spokes as guide elements.
- the object is achieved by a sunshade curtain of the type mentioned, in which the guide elements are designed as wire ropes or spokes that extend below the lower end position of the drop rod, in that hollow elements are fastened to the drop rod, which comprise the guide elements and cooperate with their lower ends in the lower end position of the drop rod with the locking members.
- the drop rod which may be located above the locking members with a relatively large spacing, using To lock tensile forces.
- the locking position of the drop rod ie its lower end position, is determined by the length of the hollow elements, so that vertical compensation is also possible on one side.
- plate-shaped or disk-shaped extensions are provided at the lower ends of the hollow elements, which cooperate with the locking members. With the help of these extensions, a particularly secure locking of the drop rod is possible.
- the extensions also allow tensile forces to be introduced into the curtain, for example using the locking members described in patent application 195 36 959.9.
- the hollow elements are sleeves or tubes which are fixed at a fixed angle to the ends of the drop rods.
- sleeves or pipes fastened in this way offer the advantage that they increase the effective guide length of the drop rod on the guide elements.
- the drop rod can no longer tilt and can only be moved parallel to the guide elements. In particular during the process, i.e. When the locking members are released, this improved drop rod guide ensures less wind sensitivity.
- a further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that plastic bushings are inserted into the tube or sleeve ends, which reduce the friction on the guide elements.
- the effective length of the hollow elements is expediently fastened to the ends of the drop rods in an adjustable manner. Thereby the locking position of the drop rod in the vertical direction can be particularly easily corrected.
- the plate-shaped or disk-shaped extensions can alternatively be fixed on the hollow elements at different distances from the ends of the drop bars.
- a variable-length attachment can be achieved, for example, with the aid of threaded or snap-in connections.
- FIG. 1 shows a sun protection curtain 10 which has a winding device 12, a drop bar 14 and a curtain 15 stretched between the drop bar and the winding device.
- the ends of the drop bar 14 are guided on guide ropes 18, which are stretched between the winding device 12 and holding brackets 20.
- the brackets 20 are clearly below the extended end position of the drop bar 14.
- thin tubes 22 are attached, at the lower ends of which a disk-shaped extension 24 is attached.
- a locking member 26 is attached, which corresponds in its design to the locking member described in the patent application 195 36 959.9.
- the length of the thin tubes 22 is dimensioned such that the disk-shaped extensions 24 lie at their lower end in the extended end position of the drop bar 14 in the engagement area of the arms of the locking members 26.
- the tubes 22 allow the locking members 26 to be arranged in the area of the holding brackets 20 and still ensure a stable locking of the drop bar 14 in the area of the guide cables 18.
- the tubes 22, which are fixed angularly to the drop rod, also ensure its improved guidance and prevent the drop rod 14 from tilting under the influence of wind, even if the disk-shaped extensions 24, e.g. are not locked with the locking members 26 during the movement of the drop rod 14.
- the use of the tubes 22 is therefore also advantageous in sun protection curtains 10 without locking members 26.
- plastic bushings (not shown) are inserted into the tubes 22 at their ends, which ensure that the drop rod 14 runs with little play and friction during the process.
- the latching position of the drop bar 14 is roughly determined by the length of the tubes 22.
- the tubes 22 are screwed into the drop rod ends 16 via a threaded connection (not shown).
- the distance between the disk-shaped extensions 24 and the drop bar 14 can thus be corrected by simply rotating the tubes 22. This allows manufacturing tolerances to be compensated, and the end position of the Drop bar 14 can be adjusted exactly.
- a snap connection between the two elements can also be provided.
- the adjustability of the distance between the disk-shaped extensions 24 and the drop rod 14 can of course also be achieved by attaching the disk-shaped extensions 24 themselves to the tubes 22, for example via a threaded or snap-in connection.
- FIG. 2 shows a detailed view of a locking member 26 from FIG. 1.
- the drop rod 14 is in a position above the lower end position, so that the disk-shaped extensions 24 of the tubes 22 also lie above the engagement area of the locking members 26.
- the locking member 26 has a pivotable about a pivot point 27 lever 28 which has a release arm 30 and a locking arm 32.
- the disk-shaped extensions 24 first strike the release arms 30 of the lever 28.
- the weight of the drop rod 14 causes the lever 28 to be rotated via this release arm 30 until it is one Has overcome dead center position, which is generated by a spring element 34 acting on a pivot point 33 on the lever 28, which in the starting position according to FIG. 2 holds the lever 28 in contact with a stop 35.
- the lever 28 Under the influence of the spring force of the spring member 34, the lever 28 snaps into the locking position, the locking arm 32 resting against the top of the disk-shaped extension 24 (see FIG. 3).
- the locking arms 32 of the two locking members 26 generate a bias of the entire curtain, which benefits its wind stability.
- the illustrated embodiment of the locking member corresponds to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 of patent application 195 36 959.9.
- the basic advantage of the present invention is to lock the drop rod 14 in positions next to which the arrangement of locking members 26 is technically impossible or is not justifiable for operational reasons.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a sunshade curtain with a drop rod, the ends of which are guided on lateral guide elements, and locking members, which are arranged at the lower ends of the guide elements and prevent the drop rod in its lower end position from moving in the direction of entry.
In the case of external sun protection curtains, their wind stability is a considerable problem. Due to the large contact surface of the sun protection curtain, the rapidly changing wind pressure leads to dynamic movements of the end rod which excites the curtain due to its weight. In addition to the strong noise, the curtain can also be damaged. The solution, which is still widespread today, of retracting the curtain even when the wind is weak is unsatisfactory because the solar radiation can be strong even in wind. Even the weighting of the mostly hollow drop bar by means of inserted weights was unable to solve the problem satisfactorily. It has therefore already been proposed to positively prevent the drop rod from moving upward in certain positions by means of locking members. An additional tightening of the curtain is ensured by a locking mechanism according to patent application 195 36 959.9, which additionally pretensions the curtain with the aid of spring elements.
If the locking devices can be clamped in the grooves of the side guide rails, they can be adjusted in their vertical position. In contrast, in sun protection systems, the lateral guide elements as wire ropes or spokes are formed, for reasons of stability, the locking members cannot be attached to the rope or the spoke at any height, but only to the lower brackets of the ropes or spokes. A vertical setting range, which may be necessary to compensate for manufacturing tolerances, for example, is then only available on a very small scale.
In addition, in the case of such sun protection systems, the fastening members of the ropes or spokes are generally quite a bit below the end position of the drop rod for optical or fastening reasons. Conventional solutions for locking it with the aid of locking members attached to the lower fastening members of the guide elements are therefore ruled out.
The object of the invention is to provide a sun protection curtain in which the drop rod can also be locked with a height-correctable end position with ropes or spokes as guide elements.
According to the invention, the object is achieved by a sunshade curtain of the type mentioned, in which the guide elements are designed as wire ropes or spokes that extend below the lower end position of the drop rod, in that hollow elements are fastened to the drop rod, which comprise the guide elements and cooperate with their lower ends in the lower end position of the drop rod with the locking members.
With the help of the hollow elements, it is possible to also use the drop rod, which may be located above the locking members with a relatively large spacing, using To lock tensile forces. The locking position of the drop rod, ie its lower end position, is determined by the length of the hollow elements, so that vertical compensation is also possible on one side.
Preferably, plate-shaped or disk-shaped extensions are provided at the lower ends of the hollow elements, which cooperate with the locking members. With the help of these extensions, a particularly secure locking of the drop rod is possible. The extensions also allow tensile forces to be introduced into the curtain, for example using the locking members described in patent application 195 36 959.9.
In a preferred embodiment of the invention, the hollow elements are sleeves or tubes which are fixed at a fixed angle to the ends of the drop rods. Compared to the basically also possible use of hoses as hollow elements, sleeves or pipes fastened in this way offer the advantage that they increase the effective guide length of the drop rod on the guide elements. The drop rod can no longer tilt and can only be moved parallel to the guide elements. In particular during the process, i.e. When the locking members are released, this improved drop rod guide ensures less wind sensitivity.
To prevent running noise and friction losses, a further preferred embodiment of the invention provides that plastic bushings are inserted into the tube or sleeve ends, which reduce the friction on the guide elements.
The effective length of the hollow elements is expediently fastened to the ends of the drop rods in an adjustable manner. Thereby the locking position of the drop rod in the vertical direction can be particularly easily corrected. Instead of the variable fastening of the hollow elements on the ends of the drop bars, the plate-shaped or disk-shaped extensions can alternatively be fixed on the hollow elements at different distances from the ends of the drop bars. A variable-length attachment can be achieved, for example, with the aid of threaded or snap-in connections.

At the ends of the
The
To improve the running properties, plastic bushings (not shown) are inserted into the
The latching position of the
If the
The illustrated embodiment of the locking member corresponds to the embodiment shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 of patent application 195 36 959.9. With regard to possible further embodiments of the locking members, reference should not only be made to FIGS. 1 and 2 of this patent application, but it is also fundamentally possible to install other locking members without a pretensioning effect, although this does away with the optimum in wind stability.
The basic advantage of the present invention is to lock the
