Abstract

The agitator lid, especially for tins of paint supported beneath racks (3), has a first helical gear (9) for engaging with an endless drive screw and fixed to the top end of an agitator spindle (9), and a detachable sprocket (19) to engage with a chain (17). The sprocket is of greater diameter than the helical gear and has hooks on its under surface to engage with the gear for a coaxial mounting. The hooks on the sprocket are spaced at regular intervals round its under surface, and can be in different shapes, e.g. shaped to engage with the helical gear's teeth for easy fitting and removal.

Description

The invention relates to an agitator cover with double motion transmission for machines paint stirring and in particular a cover agitator with double movement transmission adapting to chain paint stirring machines for shelf drive and worm machines shelf drive.

We know that paint stirring machines, type receiving agitator lids with their jars painting, suspended on shelves, by transverse slides, have a device drive agitator covers on each shelf. This drive device is either chain arranged in loop on each of the shelves, either worm spanning the length of each of the shelves. The agitator covers have an upper gear for driving the specific agitator axis of the device drive, helical gear teeth for drive by worm and gear teeth right for chain drive, this sprocket coming in taken with the chain or the worm by translation the agitator cover on its slides. These sprockets are therefore different depending on whether the device drive is chain or worm and do not allow not training compatibility on the same cover stirrer.

This provision requires to hold sets of specific agitator covers for stirring machines depending on whether they are of the chain drive type or worm drive.

The invention aims to remedy this drawback and offers an agitator cover for stirring machines of paint on drive chains and for machines stirring paint drive worm, supported type suspended on machine shelves agitation by means of transverse slides and having an upper pinion drive pinion agitator coming into service on the element machine drive, chain or shelf worm, when properly positioned relative to said audit shelf drive element, cover characterized by what it includes a first helical gear pinion for power take-off on a worm element a stirring machine driven by an endless screw, fixed mounted at the upper end of the agitator shaft of the cover, and a second removable spur gear and larger in diameter than said first pinion, intended for come into service on a chain element shaking machine drive, this second pinion with hooks on its underside, intended for engage on the first pinion by elements adequate receivers to allow its coaxial mounting on this last. The second pinion is advantageously shaped so that its gear teeth, when is hooked on the first pinion, either substantially in the same plane as those of the first pinion. This characteristic meets the characteristics and safety components of stirring machines.

Naturellement, les crochets du second pignon peuvent avoir une forme variable de même que les éléments récepteurs complémentaires du premier pignon (par exemple, de simples trous de prise complémentaires des crochets dans le corps du pignon).Naturally, the hooks of the second pinion can have a variable shape as well as the receiving elements complementary to the first pinion (for example, simple additional hook holes in the body of the pinion).

According to advantageous features of the invention, the hooks of the second pinion are arranged on a circle coaxial with the pinion and the diameter of the first pinion. They are positioned regularly on this circle, according to a equal angle from one to the other, and are shaped to come engaged on the periphery teeth of the first pinion. These there can be three hooks, positioned at 120 ° one of the other.

The hooks can be of the hook picking type elastic allowing the quick snap-on mounting of the second pinion on the first by a simple push and, conversely, its easy disassembly by spacing the hooks to authorize the putting into service of the first pinion alone on a worm drive machine.

The hooks are identical, they can have a width equivalent to two gear teeth of the first pinion to engage each on two teeth of this pinion. They can also include a median pawn in projection corresponding to the hollow between two gear teeth of the first pinion, preventing the sliding in rotation of the second gable on the first.

Il reçoit le premier pignon par son ouverture, monté maintenu coaxialement et sans jeu par lesdits crochets à forme de J.The second pinion is preferably disc-shaped open on its underside and provided with gear teeth right on its periphery, and has hooks in the form of J intended to engage on the toothing elements of the first pinion with the picking nose (lower transverse leg of J) pinched at their part lower. It receives the first pinion by its opening, mounted maintained coaxially and without play by said hooks in the form of J.

It follows from this arrangement that the first pinion of the agitator cover, permanently fixed to the agitator axis, allows the rotary drive of the agitator axis with the corresponding drive worm of a worm shaker and that the second pinion, quickly mounted by snap-fastening on the first sprocket, allows training with the chain for driving a chain agitator drive. The dismantling of this second pinion is obtained by a reverse maneuver and allows the return to driving the agitator cover on a screw machine endless training. An agitator cover according to the invention can therefore be trained either on a chain agitator or worm drive.

L'invention concerne également un pignon amovible apte à être monté sur un couvercle agitateur tel que défini ci-dessus, et conforme à la revendication 9.The invention also relates to a removable pinion capable of be mounted on an agitator cover as defined above, and according to claim 9.

the invention is described below using an embodiment and with reference to the accompanying drawing, in which:
  • FIG. 1 is a sectional view of an agitator cover according to the invention engaged on a worm drive element of the shelf of a paint stirring machine,
  • Figure 2 is a schematic top view showing the drive of the first fixed pinion of agitator cover by the machine worm.
  • FIG. 3 is a sectional view similar to FIG. 1 of an agitator cover according to the invention engaged on a drive chain of a chain stirrer machine shelf, and
  • Figure 4 is a view similar to Figure 2 showing the engagement of the second pinion of the agitator cover according to Figure 3 with the corresponding drive chain shelf agitator chain.

With reference to the drawing, Figure 1 shows a agitator cover 1 according to the invention mounted on a worm paint shaker machine shelf 3 5. The agitator cover 1 is suspended, same as other identical agitator covers with their lower paint cans, to slides classic transverse shelves (not shown). he is positioned on the latter to engage by its upper power take-off gear 7 on the worm gear drive 5, as still shown in Figure 2. The pinion 7, fixed permanently to the upper end of the agitator axis 9 and causing the latter to rotate, is with helical gear teeth 11 complementary to that of the worm gear 5. This pinion is made of plastic hard, being pinned on the agitator axis of the cover. he is protected by a casing 13, which is open on its face before 15 to allow power take-off with the screw endless 5.

Figure 3 shows the drive of the cover agitator 1 on a chain agitator drive 17 of the shelves. A second metal gable 19, meshing with the shelf drive chain 17, is mounted on the helical gear 7 fixed on the agitator axis 9. This pinion is removable. It has teeth spur gear 21 coming into service in the same plane as that of the pinion with helical teeth 7. It has the shape a disc 23 open at its lower part, at 25, and provided with gear teeth 21 at its periphery. It comprises hooks 27 in its lower opening 25 to form of arc in plan, arranged coaxially with the pinion and on a circle of diameter equal to that of the toothed pinion helical 7. Hooks 27, three in number and 120 ° from each other, are in the form of J in section. Their width is equal to two teeth 11 of the pinion with hecoidal teeth. The hook nose 29 is turned inward from a distance of the inner wall 31 of the disc equal to the height of the helical gear teeth 11 of the first pinion. These hooks are reminiscent of elastic hooking.

The mounting of this second spur gear 19 is easily obtained by inserting it into the opening 25 of casing, applying it to the fixed gear helical 7, coaxial to it, and engaging in snaps each of its hooks 27 onto the first pinion 7, by pressing each of them at the opening before 25 of casing and turning the pinion for this purpose. When the three hooks 27 are engaged in engagement on the teeth of the first pinion 7, the right gear pinion 19 then went up. It is hooked without play on the pinion 7, coaxial with it, being perfectly integral therewith. The agitator cover thus equipped with the removable pinion spur gear drive on the drive chain shelf can then be used as a cover classic shaker with classic spur gear permanently fixed to the agitator shaft, of the same diameter and to a equivalent translation positioning on the slides shelf suspension.

The disassembly of this pinion is obtained just as easy by removing each of the hooks 27 and releasing them teeth of the first pinion 7, this on the front face 25 of casing 13 by means of a screwdriver blade introduced by a suitable slot 33 formed on the surface of the disc 23, substantially to the right of each of the hooks 27. When the sprocket is removed, cover can be put back on service on a worm shaker as a cover agitator to drive by classic worm screw.

  6. Agitator-type cover according to claim 4 or 5, characterised in that said hooks (27) have a width equivalent to two meshing teeth (11) of the first pinion (7) for each to engage on two teeth of this pinion.
  7. Agitator-type cover according to claim 6, characterised in that said hooks (27) comprise a median projection member corresponding to the cavity between two meshing teeth (11) of the first pinion (7), thereby preventing the second pinion (19) from rotatably sliding on the first pinion (7).
  8. Agitator-type cover according to one of claims 4 to 7, characterised in that said second pinion (19) is in the form of disc (23), which is open at its lower face and provided with direct meshing teeth (21) on its periphery, and comprises J-shaped hooks (27), which are intended to engage on the meshing toothed members (11) of the first pinion (7) with the hook-like projection (29) (lower transverse leg of the "J") which is constricted at the lower portion of said hooks, the second pinion (19) receiving, through its opening (25), the first pinion (7) mounted so as to be retained coaxially and in a clearance-free manner by said J-shaped hooks (27).
  9. Detachable pinion intended for an agitator-type cover for paint-stirring machines with drive chains (17) and for paint-stirring machines with an endless screw drive (5), the cover being of the type supported on the rack (3) of the agitating machines by means of transverse slide members and comprising an upper helical meshing pinion (7) for driving the agitator spindle (9), which is securedly mounted at the upper end of the agitator spindle (9) of the cover and engages on the machine driving means fitted with an endless screw drive rack (5), when it is suitably positioned relative to said racked driving means, said detachable pinion being characterised in that it is of the directly meshing type (19) and has a greater diameter than said upper pinion (7), and being intended to engage on a drive chain means (17) of the agitating machine, and in that said detachable pinion comprises, on its lower face, hooks (27) which are intended to engage on the pinion (7) by adequate receiving means (11) to permit the coaxial mounting of said detachable pinion on said pinion.
  10. Detachable pinion according to claim 9, characterised in that it is in the form of disc (23), which is open at (25) on its lower face and provided with directly meshing teeth (21) on its periphery, and comprises J-shaped hooks (27), which are intended to engage on the meshing toothed members (11) of the upper pinion (7) with the hook-like projection (29) (lower transverse leg of the "J") which is constricted at the lower portion of said hooks, the detachable pinion receiving, through its opening (25), the pinion (7), so that it is mounted coaxially and retained in a clearance-free manner on said pinion by the engagement of said hooks (27) between its toothed members (11).
