Definitions
- the invention relates to a bed side part for reclining furniture, in particular for hospital beds or nursing beds, which on one long side of the reclining furniture uppermost to its lowest, free access to the lying area Lowerable position and possibly also in intermediate positions on one Lockable end or at both ends.
- Bed side parts in particular for sick beds, are already known in various embodiments. From Catalog 45 The Paramount bed represents a merging of high-technology functions with the needs of patients and medical professionals "and the subtitle PARAMOUNT BED "bed side parts are known with scissors-like elements that can be swiveled up and down in one plane, so that the bed side part in question can be moved into its uppermost, fully unfolded position and into a lower, swiveled down position that does not hinder free access to the bed surface The bed side part extends practically over the entire length of the bed.
- bed side parts are also known from the same catalog only over a part, preferably the head end part of the relevant Stretch the bed, while the other part is open without protection.
- a section the bed side part in question is cranked outward at right angles trained and rigid, so that especially disabled people this part as Use the handle when getting up and also when getting up from the bed can lift off.
- DE-OS 44 00 802 is a bed, in particular a sick and / or Nursing bed previously known, consisting of a bed frame in which a preferably adjustable couch insert or couch frame is arranged, and one the frame supporting the bed frame, the bed frame at least one Integrated safety side panel, which in a raised and in a lowered position can be brought.
- the safety side panel has several cross struts, each with one end are pivotally mounted on the bed frame and the other end with a longitudinal strut are articulated. This allows the bed side panel as with the bed parts described above, swing them up and down in a vertical plane, So in an upper one that blocks free access to the bed locked position and a swiveled down, free access to the lying area enabling position.
- DE-GM 90 16 422.9 shows a bed, especially a sick and / or Nursing bed with laterally arranged, board-like profiles between them leave a gap and form the bed side part.
- the bed side part is also arranged lockable in an upper and lower position.
- DE-GM 85 32 458 and DE-PS 35 40 723 also show a sick and / or Nursing bed, with the side panels attached to the bed surround in this way are that the movable side part is arranged in a vertical plane, which runs through the longitudinal spar of the lying surface frame and thus laterally there should be no protruding parts.
- the DE-GM 84 12 948.4 also shows a hospital and / or nursing bed a side part, which is designed as a wooden grille and on both sides with one short guide on the upper spar and longer guides on the side edges of the wooden lattice body is provided.
- a hospital bed in the form of a sectional frame bed with several connected side by side pivotable about parallel axes
- Previously known lying surface parts that carry the bedding at least on one side of the bed a moving part that has moving parts Bed side part is arranged.
- the bed side part is in predetermined Length ranges designed to be articulated, such that pivoting and / or Lifting movements of the lying surface parts the respectively assigned sections of the Partly perform these movements.
- the bed side part made up of several sections, which - like the lying surface parts - are articulated are interconnected.
- the bed side part extends over the entire length of the bed.
- Foldable side rails are from the brochure sheet Trevillton - New lateral and longitudinal patient transfer system "from Trevillton Ltd., Caerphilly, Great Britain, which also extend over the entire length of the lying surface.
- a side grille made of pipes also shows a brochure of the company Stryker Medical. Some constructions only cover part of the Length, others over a full length section.
- Intensive care beds the lying surfaces of which are each assigned several, relatively short bed side parts, consisting of tubes arranged parallel to one another.
- Bed side panels consisting of a rigid grid are also available through a prospectus from Hoskins & Sewell Ltd., for example model number Y 2872, previously known. In the lower position, the lowered side part hinders the free space under the mattress room and the floor completely, so that nothing can be set up here, X-rayed or arranged underneath.
- a bed side part referred to there as a protective grille for a bed in particular for a sick bed
- two arms which are hinged to the protective grille at one end and the other at the other End are pivotally mounted on a support section and for adjustment the protective grille in a raised or lowered position
- the bearing on the support section assigned support rods for displacement of the protective grille opposite the bed and with a releasable lock that prevents displacement of the protective grille
- the support section sliding a stop pin is attached to the bed, with a locking member movably mounted on the support section cooperates
- a control member connected to both arms via crank arms coupled moves together with the arms and has a bridge, who moves the locking member into an unlocked position when the arms are in the lower position for the purpose of adjusting the support member opposite the stop pin towards under the bed.
- bed side parts consisting of profile tubes.
- the invention has for its object a bed side part of the prerequisites Genus to design inventive that on the one hand on the full length by the bed side part a protection of the person in bed is guaranteed, on the other hand, but also the advantages of lowering yourself of the side of the bed, for example for the nursing staff, can be maintained, but still the person in bed, for example, during the day, given reliable protection against falling out can be, with at the same time convenient entry and exit for the Patient.
- each bed side is protected by a bed side part which, as usual, can be fully lowered, but can also be locked in an upper locking position and in the intermediate position.
- This bed side part is usually used at night, or for example when the patient is freshly operated.
- the additional, considerably smaller, in particular shorter sized protective side panel has the advantage that, for example, the large and long bed side panel can be lowered during the day, so that not only the nursing staff have good access from the side to the patient to carry out treatments, but also there is also the possibility that, with the bed side parts completely lowered, the protective side part continues to protect the patient, for example during sleep during the day, against inadvertent falling out.
- the patient can use it as a handle, for example when raising and leaving the bed, but also when getting back in.
- he can also completely stow this protective side part after erecting like the other bed side part, so that the lying surface is fully accessible over the entire length.
- a conventional bed side part with a protective side part is useful combined ".
- This protective side part only needs to extend over a certain length, for example only over a third of the length of the lying surface.
- the person lying in bed straighten up when gripping the protective side part and support on the protective side part and, for example, can move into a sitting position, whereupon the patient can also support himself on the protective side part, for example, to walk up and down in the room, among other things.
- the patient When sitting down on the bed, the patient can lie on the Support the protective side panel and gradually swing its legs up, then the protective side panel protects it from tipping to the side.
- this protective side part also disturbs the nursing staff and the Not a doctor, since it only extends over part of the length of the bed, so that treatments on the legs or on the abdomen, possibly also in the Abdominal area, can be made easily. Then it will the entire length and completely free access to the lying area is required, the protective side panel can be quickly and conveniently, practically with one hand stow away, for example by swiveling it down.
- the bed side part can basically have any construction, for example, from tubes running parallel to one another a lattice, made of scissor-like elements, of fabric or the like exist.
- the protective side part is arranged on the bed side part, thus forms an additional part attached to the bed side part, which can be brought into and out of function, for example can also be removed.
- the protective side part in the embodiment according to claim 3 is integrated into the actual bed side part, for example in that a part of the bed side part is pivoted up, folded up, pulled up or moved like scissors after it has been completely lowered.
- the protective side part can be formed by designing the bed side part on this side in such a way that a part of this double-walled or double design forms the protective side part, which after the bed side part has been lowered into its functional position brought up.
- the protective side panel can also be in a spar of the bed side panel, for example telescopically arranged. If it is needed, it will be on the side and / or pulled up and brought up and to the head of the bed a post attached to the bed side panel or the like.
- One fabric, one Net or other articulated or flexible arranged links, such as Telescopic supports, handlebar elements or the like then bridge the Space between an upper portion of the protective side part and the lower, lowered upper beam of the bed side part or the like.
- both the bed side part and its elements and the protective side part and its elements can be moved towards or towards each other in such a way that they come to lie practically within the lateral projection of the bed surface frame and / or the bedding and thus free access between the floor and Do not obstruct the underside of the bed frame.
- the handlebars and / or the upper spars of the protective side part are formed from profile tubes, while in the embodiment according to claim 6, the upper spar and the handlebars are designed as circular tubes in diameter.
- handlebars are designed as rods in the embodiment according to claim 7 .
- the embodiment according to claim 8 uses scissor-shaped movable link elements which completely or partially fill the free space between the upper spar and the lower spar in the upper position of the protective side part.
- Claim 9 describes a further advantageous embodiment.
- the handlebars and / or the spars are telescopically movable.
- the upper spar of the bed side part is provided in its middle length region with a recess into which the upper spar of the protective side part can be pivoted in whole or in part when the position is lowered.
- Claim 11 describes an inventive embodiment.
- the upper spar is designed as a telescopic tube, which is designed as a handle at its end and allows a construction with particularly few individual parts.
- the individual parts can be arranged in the side projection by the appropriate connection of these parts when the protective grid is completely lowered so that they in no way hinder free access to the lying surface.
- the articulation of the one telescopic arm of the upper spar is located on the side of the bed or the like, so that, in an emergency, there is also quick access to the patient in the head area, because in this area the protective side part does not interfere in its fully erected position.
- this protective side part due to the special construction of this protective side part, there is no risk of the patient falling out unintentionally, since the head, due to its relatively small mass compared to the rest of the body, is unable to move the body out of bed should the patient pass out or sleep. There is also no risk of limbs becoming trapped, since the height of the bed can take the protective side part and the bed side part with it.
- the reference numeral 1 is a total as a hospital and / or nursing bed trained reclining furniture, which in principle is a common construction can have.
- the bed 1 has a foot-side headboard 2 and a head-side Bed head 3, while with 4 a not illustrated in detail Lying surface frame is designated (Fig. 1), on which bedding 5 is located.
- the lying surface frame 4 can - what can not be seen from the drawing and also not a condition - can be raised and lowered and in the head or foot side different angular positions also adjustable and in the desired one Inclination and / or altitude can also be arranged lockable. Motor drives for this including the handlebar linkage were in the individual not illustrated. Instead, a foot part 6 was only schematic shown. This foot part 6 is rigid in the present case, so that the bed shown is not movable. The bed can be changed also be provided with rollers, at least one of which can be braked. Furthermore, it is possible to make the foot parts by wood as shown in Fig. 4 and / or to completely or partially clad plastic and / or sheet metal.
- beds are also part of the inventive concept those that are commonly used on hospital and / or nursing beds
- Base frames are used, for example with foot pumps, pumps for Drive of linear motors or electric motors for lifting and lowering the Lying surface frame, for the inclination adjustment, gas springs for support of lying surface parts, e.g. B. in the adjustment movement of adjusting a backrest 7 and the like.
- bed side parts 8 are illustrated, from one in its uppermost locking position and the other in its lower, drained position is illustrated in which there is free access to patient 9.
- two bed side parts 8 are each one Protective side part 10 or 11 assigned.
- Each of these protective side parts 10 or In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 4, 11 has an upper one The upright 12, while the lower upright of the protective side part 10 or 11 through the lower spar of the relevant bed side part 8 can be formed, but this is not mandatory. It is also possible to have one here assign a further, lower longitudinal spar to the protective side part. For reasons for simplicity, only the lower spar 13 has been given a reference number designated.
- Each of the upper spars 12 is through with the lower spar 13 several links 14 coupled, each by horizontal and parallel to each other extending axes 15 or 16 with the associated spar 12 or 13 are coupled pivotably in the vertical plane.
- the double arrow X or Y shows the pivoting up and down of the protective side part 11 in question.
- the upper spar of each bed side part 8 is one in the middle length range the upper spar 12 of the protective side part 10 and 11 adapted recess 17 or 18 provided, in which the respective upper spar of the relevant protective side part 8 is fully or partially pivoted.
- the relevant protective side part 10 or 11 does not protrude at all or hardly over the upper edge of the upper spar of the side part in question 8 out, so that the protective side part is not optically in this position disturbs or even causes edges.
- the protective side part 10 or 11 in its position shown in FIGS. 3 and 4 are pivoted up, wherein the length section of the bed pointing towards the middle length section of the Holmes 12 can serve as a handle for the patient 9. He can become Example when leaving the bed (Fig. 3) on this length of the Support upper Holmes 12, but also get back into bed. How you can see, the head area is secured by the protective side panel, while the actual bed side part 8 is completely lowered.
- the protective side part 10 or 11 in its Functional position are brought, with the nursing staff almost completely has free access to the patient and is still secured. Furthermore the impression of being barred for the patient is avoided.
- At night can then extend over the length of the bed side parts 8 in be raised to its raised position while the protective side parts 10 and 11 in their inactive position shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 are brought.
- the upper spar 19 made of two or more telescopically adjustable in length Pipe sections 20 and 21 formed, the pipe section 21 via a pivot axis 22 on part of the relevant bed side part 8 or the like is arranged pivotably in the vertical plane.
- the outer tube section 20 which is larger in diameter, has a plurality of adjustment knobs 23 or 24, who work with catches. It is enough in in some cases even an adjustment button, for example 24, around the catch to operate. In this way it is possible to remove the protective side part in question 10 and 11 to pivot to different altitudes. It is also possible, instead, toothing or the like to provide the pipe sections to be able to adjust and lock against each other.
- the tube section 20 is at its free end section with a handle 25 provided, which can be molded and which allows the patient 9, him to take to stand up, or slowly back on the edge of the bed add.
- a handle 25 provided, which can be molded and which allows the patient 9, him to take to stand up, or slowly back on the edge of the bed add.
- the pivot axis 28 for example on the Bed side part 8 are arranged pivotably in the vertical plane.
- the protective side part 10 or 11 in its lowered Illustrated position in which the handle 25 hardly or only over one small area protrudes above the top of the bedding.
- the Swivel axes 22 and 28 also on its guide or be arranged on projections.
- the protective side part 10, 11 is pivoted downwards.
- one or the other can Protective side part 10, 11 also in intermediate height positions of the bed side part 8 - if necessary also at both ends at different altitudes - be locked in the high or low position or in intermediate heights.
- the upper spar 19 is also made of two or more telescopic length-adjustable tube sections 20 and 21 are formed, the pipe section 21 again via a pivot axis 22 (FIG. 9) a part of the relevant bed side part 8 or the like in vertical Level is pivotally arranged.
- the larger outer diameter Pipe section 20 has a release button 29 (FIG. 9) around the protective side part 10 or 11 trigger to swing it up and down or in To be able to lock intermediate positions after releasing them. To this end a force is exerted in the direction P on the release button 29.
- the handle 25 is again the larger diameter tube section 20 assigned on which the patient 9 can support and hold. Of the Handle 25 can be formed in one piece with the tube section 20. How one can see, the handlebar 27 is over the pivot axis 28, again for example on the bed side part 8, in particular via an angle piece or bearing 30 arranged pivotably in the vertical plane. Also in this embodiment the handlebar 27 of the protective side part 10 or 11 in question Low position parallel or approximately parallel to the bed side part in question 8 within the lateral projection of the bed frame or the Bedding. In this case, the handle 25 is designed so that it is in the lateral projection below the bed frame or at least below of the bedding lying on the bed frame and not disturbs.
