Definitions
- the invention relates to a powder spray coating device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Powder spray coating devices are known for example from DE-A 44 18 288 and US-A 4 196 465.
- the powder spray coating device contains a cabin, which has at least one wall opening for introducing a spray device.
- the spray device is carried by a positioning device arranged outside the cabin, which is often designed as a lifting stand, which can move the spray device vertically up and down. So that the connection lines of the spray device can follow these movements, they must form a loop between their connection point on the spray device and a fixed attachment located outside the cabin. During the spray coating operation, powder particles flying around get onto the spray device and on its connecting lines.
- the aim of the invention is to achieve the object of designing the powder spray coating device in such a way that a powder change can be carried out more quickly, in particular that less time and effort are required for cleaning the individual parts.
- the invention has the advantage that the spray device and its connecting lines no longer have to be blown off manually with compressed air in a separate operation and then the blown-off powder particles lie outside the cabin, but that the spray device and its connecting lines are automatically cleaned with compressed air, either still during the spray coating process, but at least when the spraying device is removed from the cabin, whereby no powder outside the cabin can contaminate other objects, but rather is blown into the cabin by the compressed air.
- Fig. 1 shows a cabin 2 and a positioning device 4 arranged outside of it, preferably a lifting stand, which carries one, several or, corresponding to Fig. 1, two spray device units 6 and can move vertically up and down to coat an article 8 to be coated with powder the spray device units 6 protrude from the positioning device 4 through a vertical wall slot 10 of the cabin 2 into the cabin 2 into a position opposite the object 8.
- the object 8 is transported through the cabin 2 by a transport device 12, for example an endless conveyor chain, transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spray device units 6.
- a transport device 12 for example an endless conveyor chain, transversely to the longitudinal direction of the spray device units 6.
- two through openings 14 and 15 are formed in the end faces of the cabin.
- the wall slot 10 there can also be a wall slot 10 for spray device units 6 or another opening, for example for an exhaust air filter, in the other longitudinal wall of the cabin 2, or this opposite wall can be closed.
- the spray device units 6 each consist of a spray device 20 of the type known from DE-A 44 18 288 or US-A 4 196 465 or another type. Furthermore, each spray device unit 6 contains a carrier tube 22, at the front end of which the spray device 20 is axially aligned and its rear end is attached to the positioning device 4. All connecting lines, for example 24, 25 and 26 are axially passed through their associated support tube 22, so that they cannot be contaminated by powder particles, dust or other elements.
- the connecting lines 24, 25 and 26 can protrude from the rear end 28 of the carrier tube 22, which is relatively far away from the cabin 2, or can be connected to connecting elements which are fastened to the rear tube end 28 and to which external lines can be connected.
- the spray devices 20 and their carrier tubes 22 are preferably designed such that their surfaces are aligned with one another in the longitudinal direction of the tube or merge into one another via step-free gradual transitions, so that there are no niches or corners on which powder can be deposited.
- at least the surface of not only the support tube 22 but also the spray device 2 is rounded so that powder can slide off.
- each spray device 20 has a circular or oval outer circumference.
- the high-voltage electrode is preferably at least partially housed in a compressed air duct, from the compressed air of which it is washed so that no powder particles can collect on it.
- the three connecting lines 24, 25 and 26 thus consist at least of a powder hose or a powder tube, an electrical cable, preferably a low-voltage cable for the high-voltage generator, and a compressed-air hose.
- the high voltage generator can also be arranged externally instead of within the spray device 20, in which case a high voltage cable is required instead of a low voltage cable. According to another embodiment, work can be carried out without high voltage if the powder particles are electrostatically charged by friction in their powder channel, so-called tribo-electric charging or tribo-electric powder coating.
- compressed air nozzles 30 are arranged, the compressed air jet direction of which is directed toward the location of the spray device units 6 and at the same time from the outside inwards into the wall slot 10, in such a way that their compressed air jets blow off powder particles from the spray device units 6 and through the Blow the wall slot 10 into the cabin 2.
- the compressed air nozzles 30 are supplied with compressed air at least when the spray device units 6 are led out of the cabin 2, so that they are then automatically cleaned by the compressed air and the powder blown off by them is blown into the cabin 2. This not only cleans the spray device units 6, but also prevents powder particles outside the cabin 2 from settling on external objects.
- compressed air can also be blown from the compressed air nozzles 30 in the aforementioned manner against the spray device units 6 and through the cabin gap 10 into the cabin 2, while objects 8 are coated with powder. It is important, however, to blow off the spray coating device 6 whenever it is moved out of the cabin 2. For a powder change, cleaning of the spray device units 6 by hand and contamination of objects outside the cabin are avoided. This significantly speeds up the powder change and less work is required. The cleaning by means of the compressed air of the compressed air nozzles 30 can take place automatically instead of by hand as in the prior art.
- the compressed air jet direction of the compressed air nozzles 30 is indicated in the drawings by arrows 32.
- the compressed air blowing nozzles 30 can be attached to the cabin 2 or to a device arranged outside the cabin 2, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2. For example, they could also be attached to the positioning device 4.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a powder spray coating device according to the preamble of claim 1.
Pulver-Sprühbeschichtungsvorrichtungen sind beispielsweise aus der DE-A 44 18 288 und der US-A 4 196 465 bekannt.Powder spray coating devices are known for example from DE-A 44 18 288 and US-A 4 196 465.
The powder spray coating device according to the invention contains a cabin, which has at least one wall opening for introducing a spray device. The spray device is carried by a positioning device arranged outside the cabin, which is often designed as a lifting stand, which can move the spray device vertically up and down. So that the connection lines of the spray device can follow these movements, they must form a loop between their connection point on the spray device and a fixed attachment located outside the cabin. During the spray coating operation, powder particles flying around get onto the spray device and on its connecting lines. When changing colors or changing from one type of powder to another type of powder, not only must the cabin be cleaned, but also the spraying device with its connecting lines must be removed from the cabin and cleaned, for example blown off with compressed air, so that the new powder to be used does not get through Powder particles of the previously used powder is contaminated.
The aim of the invention is to achieve the object of designing the powder spray coating device in such a way that a powder change can be carried out more quickly, in particular that less time and effort are required for cleaning the individual parts.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the features of claim 1.
The invention has the advantage that the spray device and its connecting lines no longer have to be blown off manually with compressed air in a separate operation and then the blown-off powder particles lie outside the cabin, but that the spray device and its connecting lines are automatically cleaned with compressed air, either still during the spray coating process, but at least when the spraying device is removed from the cabin, whereby no powder outside the cabin can contaminate other objects, but rather is blown into the cabin by the compressed air.
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2

- Fig. 2
- a cross-sectional view of the powder spray coating device of Fig. 1 along the plane II - II.
Fig. 1 shows a
The
The
The
At the
The compressed air jet direction of the
The compressed
