Definitions
- the present invention relates to a method for accelerating an endless paper web on a cutting device, to which a printed endless paper web is fed from a stack, from a roll or directly from a high-speed printer, and by tractors, which are arranged in the rows of edge holes on both sides Engage the belt-fastened transport pin and feed it to a cross-cutting device according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Cross knives can only be operated when the paper is stationary.
- the endless paper web In order to increase the working speed of cutting machines, the endless paper web must be accelerated and stopped very quickly so that the individual blades can be cut by the cross knife once before and once after the cross perforation, or with two programmed steps to get inch-long sheet lengths Manufacture sheets in metric mass.
- the paper When starting directly at high speed, the paper is loaded up to or above the elastic limit and thus the maximum acceleration is limited.
- the paper web for cutting the individual sheets is accelerated from a standstill to, for example, 2 m / sec.
- this is achieved in accordance with the characterizing features in claim 1 in that, with transport pins whose diameter is smaller than the diameter of the holes in the edge punched strips, the tractors are pre-accelerated in the holes of the edge punched strips at a lower speed than the transport speed, that then when the holes are knocked against the holes at the same lower speed, the endless paper web is pulled, and that when the compensation of all tolerances of the mechanical tolerance components has been reached, the system switches to the high transport speed.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a transport path for a paper web 5, which is provided on its edge perforated strip 3 with transport holes 4, in which the pins 2 of so-called tractors 1 engage.
- These tractors 1 transport the continuous paper web 5 from the stack 6 or from a roll to the cutting arrangement, where the edge perforated strips 3 are cut off by means of edge cutting knives 9, 10, and then the individual sheets 13 are separated off by means of a transverse knife 11, 12.
- transverse knife 11, 12 can cut in less than 20 msec. Of course, this allows the paper web 5 to run very quickly.
- full utilization of the cross knife drive is countered by the necessary acceleration of the paper web.
- the necessary acceleration can be achieved in two stages.
- the different diameters of the transport pin 2 and the holes 4 in the edge perforated strip 3 are used, which, as shown in FIG. 2, have a considerable difference with the diameters d for the transport pin and D for the hole in the edge perforated strip.

Description
The present invention relates to a method for accelerating an endless paper web on a cutting device, to which a printed endless paper web is fed from a stack, from a roll or directly from a high-speed printer, and by tractors, which are arranged in the rows of edge holes on both sides Engage the belt-fastened transport pin and feed it to a cross-cutting device according to the preamble of claim 1.
From the publication US Pat. No. 5,018,887, a conveyor device for continuous paper is known, the transport pins of which engage in edge perforated strips of conveyed continuous paper have a slightly smaller diameter than the holes in the edge perforated strips. The pegs are at a slightly greater mutual distance than the holes in the edge perforated strips. This device allows the continuous feeding of the continuous paper, but causes deformations of the holes in the edge tape.
From the closest prior art, the publication US 4,593,893, a feed device for continuous paper to a cutting device is known, with which two separate continuous papers can first be combined and then cut together. A disadvantage of this feed device is the fact that the continuous paper cannot be accelerated very quickly.
It is accordingly an object of the invention to provide a method with which the paper web can be accelerated quickly without any risk to the paper.
According to the invention, this is achieved in accordance with the characterizing features in claim 1 in that, with transport pins whose diameter is smaller than the diameter of the holes in the edge punched strips, the tractors are pre-accelerated in the holes of the edge punched strips at a lower speed than the transport speed, that then when the holes are knocked against the holes at the same lower speed, the endless paper web is pulled, and that when the compensation of all tolerances of the mechanical tolerance components has been reached, the system switches to the high transport speed.
- Fig.1
- Fig.2
- Fig. 1
- a view of a paper transport route with a tractor with an endless paper web located thereon, shown as a detail, and
- Fig. 2
- a marginal hole on a greatly enlarged scale with an engaging pin of the tractor.
It has been shown that the hard blow to the paper web with an immediate acceleration from standstill to the transport speed starts not only from the inertia of the stationary paper web, but also from the play in the drive part, as well as from others, during acceleration with its inertia of the acceleration force counteracting parts and thus cause a delay, such as the elasticity of the tractor belts. By slowing down, the play in the drive part is first canceled and then the inertial forces of all parts, including that of the paper web, are overcome before the paper web is then accelerated to the working speed.
Wie schon erwähnt, steht aber einer vollen Ausnützung des Quermesserantriebes die notwendige Beschleunigung der Papierbahn entgegen.1 schematically shows a transport path for a paper web 5, which is provided on its edge perforated strip 3 with transport holes 4, in which the pins 2 of so-called tractors 1 engage. These tractors 1 transport the continuous paper web 5 from the stack 6 or from a roll to the cutting arrangement, where the edge perforated strips 3 are cut off by means of edge cutting knives 9, 10, and then the individual sheets 13 are separated off by means of a transverse knife 11, 12. With the above, by one Linear motors driven transverse knives 11, 12 can cut in less than 20 msec. Of course, this allows the paper web 5 to run very quickly. As already mentioned, full utilization of the cross knife drive is countered by the necessary acceleration of the paper web.
According to the invention, the necessary acceleration can be achieved in two stages. For this purpose, the different diameters of the transport pin 2 and the holes 4 in the edge perforated strip 3 are used, which, as shown in FIG. 2, have a considerable difference with the diameters d for the transport pin and D for the hole in the edge perforated strip.
The pins thus engage with play in the holes in the peripheral perforations. This game is now used according to the invention to set the tractors in motion from a standstill. The play for the transfer of toothed belts to the pullys, the driving axles to the chain drive wheel, the play between the chain drive wheel and chain, the chain to the transport pins and from the transport pins to the paper is eliminated. Paper can also be easily drawn until a certain tensile force occurs. These short distances are sufficient to start the tractors so far that they reach a speed of a little less than 1 m / sec with a pre-acceleration for about 7 msec, which corresponds to an acceleration of 143 m / sec 2 , which is therefore below Less load occurs than the work load if the paper web were to be accelerated directly to the work feed, namely within 7.5 msec to 4 m / sec, and thus experiences a reduced acceleration of 325 m / sec 2 instead of approximately 530 m / sec will be 2 .
