Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a sheet metal strip metallic intended to form bond between two elements of construction such as soles or plates, at least one of these elements being of wood, said strip of metal sheet comprising on at least one edge of the anchoring projections provided with teeth intended to be forced into at least one of said teeth construction elements which is made of wood, and comprising between at least some of said anchoring projections at least one member penetration stop in the wood.
It is possible to use to give more rigidity to connecting several strips of metal sheet.
Said anchoring projections in the wood provide between they niche.
The sheet metal strip is inserted into the wood in the factory using a continuously operating press, and this is a delicate operation since on the one hand, the sheet metal strip does not must not penetrate into the wood beyond the base of the slots formed between the anchoring projections to avoid creating a primer cracking and on the other hand, the anchoring projections must be completely inserted in the wood despite the natural heterogeneity wood fibers.
It has been proposed in EP-A-0038830 (= WO-A-81 01305) to produce between the anchoring projections of the penetration stop members in the form of tongues provided with fold lines, arranged so that at the during the penetration of the anchoring projections in the wood, the tongue folds along said lines so as to form a foot flat abutting the surface of the wood. However, this folding mode almost automatic triggered as soon as the tab presses on the surface of the wood often causes chips and burrs in the wood which, without weakening the wood locally, are unsightly.
The object of the present invention is to remedy the
disadvantages of the prior art and to propose a sheet metal strip
according to the preamble of
It achieves this by the fact that the arresting body of penetration consists of a gouge-shaped tooth making protruding outwards.
Wood, which when sinking the sheet metal strip enters the concavity of the gouge-shaped tooth, comes abut on the surface, substantially transverse to the direction of penetration into the wood of the bottom of the gouge, to limit the insertion of the sheet metal strip into the building element in wood.
Preferably, the gouge-shaped tooth has a substantially cylindrical concave wall, connected to the rest of the sheet metal strip by an inflected wall coming from forging or stamping, said inflected wall defining a surface constituting the bottom of the tooth and substantially orthogonal in the sense penetration of the tooth into the wood, so as to stop this penetration. Preferably, the teeth are arranged in the shape of a gouge so that two consecutive teeth have concavities facing opposite directions with respect to the sheet metal strip, which avoids rectilinear primers of wood cracks.
Advantageously, the strip of metal sheet is folded in zigzag along fold lines parallel to each other, two strip portions adjacent to the same fold line forming a obtuse angle.
Said strip of metal sheet is preferably made made of steel with a protective coating against oxidation.
The anchoring projections advantageously include teeth which may have a profile such as that described in the patent FR-A-2 702 236. The anchoring of these teeth is improved by the elasticity of the wood which closes on the teeth after their insertion and also by removing the sheet metal strip substantially stretched by the press during the insertion operation.
When the sheet metal strip is used for the realization a wood-concrete composite floor, said sheet metal strip comprises preferably on the side and on a song means intended to secure the sheet metal strip in a concrete plate.
A sheet metal strip according to the invention can also be used to make a structural element.
In this case, said sheet metal strip has on its two edges of the anchoring projections provided with force-on teeth in wood and the sheet metal strip has between at least some anchoring projections at least one penetration stop member wood made of a gouge-shaped tooth projecting towards outside.

FIGS. 1A and 1B show a strip of
In the embodiment described, the sheet metal strip
has in each interval separating two

comme représenté sur la figure 1B.Two flat parts of the
The use of a strip of sheet metal with corrugations has the advantage of increasing the adhesion surface of the sheet in the wood or the building element, and avoids the constitution of a rectilinear crack initiator during the sheet metal penetrating into the wood. The use of a sheet presenting ripples also has the advantage of facilitating handling of it, which can be stored in rolls prior to its use.
It will also be noted that the obtuse angle bending of the sheet

The gouge-shaped teeth allow, in addition to stopping the penetration of the sheet metal strip into the wood, to improve the resistance sheet metal strip in the latter.
The adhesion of the gouge-shaped teeth is improved
when the two main faces of the latter are coated
a hot-melt adhesive, preferably with a low melting point of
so that the simple insertion into the wood creates a
sufficient local heating to melt the glue, which
cooler polymerizes and increases the adhesion of the tooth in
wood. Similarly, the
bois.FIGS. 2A to 2C show a tooth in

bois.The
Advantageously, the
figure 2C.The
Alternatively, it would be possible without departing from the scope of the present invention, although less advantageous, to realize the penetration stop surface in the wood of the tooth gouge by a portion of disc fixed at right angles to both the cylindrical wall of the tooth and on the adjacent flat surface of the sheet metal strip.
gouge.FIG. 3 shows an assembly of two
Although Figure 3 shows a small gap between the

There is shown in Figure 4 an assembly consisting

It will be noted that the penetration stop members in the wood according to the invention allow a good spacing to be obtained determined between the two building elements that the strip of sheet metal connects, therefore to precisely respect the dimensions of construction.
