Abstract
<IMAGE>When repairing a weft break, the nature, and here in particular the maintenance of the twist of a weft 2 b, the front section of which is gripped by a pneumatic pulling device 5, plays an important role for the safe removal of the weft. The twist of the weft thread is maintained according to the invention in that a suction and at the same time rotating flow in the direction of the twist of the weft thread is generated in a pulling device. <IMAGE>
Description
The invention relates to a method for the controlled pneumatic pulling of a defective and twisted, single- or multi-thread weft thread that has caused a weaving stop from the fabric stop edge with the shed open and a device for carrying out the method.
In air jet weaving machines, suitable nozzles e.g. a twisted single or multi-thread weft thread is entered into a shed and attached to the stop edge of the fabric by means of a reed. The entry of the weft thread and the control of the nozzles required for this takes place depending on certain thread-specific parameters. Such thread-specific parameters are, for example, the density of the thread or its weight per unit length and its surface quality.
In certain cases, certain incidents require the suction of a registered weft thread. This is necessary, for example, after a faulty weft entry that triggers a web stop. Further details on such sources of error and various methods, in particular for eliminating a weft break, can be found in EP-A-0 310 804, EP-A-0 309 013, EP-A-0 207 470 and US-A- Take 4 781 221.
- Unterbrechen des Webvorgangs, also Webstop,
- Detection of the incorrect weft insertion,
- Interrupting the web process, i.e. webstop,
- Detaching the incorrectly entered weft thread from the fabric stop edge by means of a further weft thread entry (repair thread), and
- pneumatic removal of weft and repair threads.
The pneumatic extraction then takes place either through a suitable negative pressure of a suction nozzle arranged after the exit of the shed or through an injector nozzle.
It is generally provided here to use a sensor to determine whether a weft thread is held in the pulling device or whether the weft thread has already been completely pulled off the fabric stop edge. The sensors usually used work on an optical basis. A weft thread that only moves in the direction of its longitudinal axis is not reliably detected by these sensors. It is therefore intended to use a pull-off device which also sets the thread in movements perpendicular to its longitudinal axis.
The injector nozzles already mentioned above are used for this. In these nozzles, an air stream of increased pressure is introduced offset to the center of the injector nozzle, which then runs in the circumferential direction of the injector nozzle and in this way imparts a certain twist to the twisted weft thread.
The problem with the previously known methods of stripping is that the stripping is always carried out in a completely constant manner, i.e. there is no adaptation of the pulling to the type of twist or to other thread-specific properties of the respective weft thread. This can cause the weft to unravel. In particular in the case of single-thread weft yarns which are held together essentially by the twisting applied to the thread, the twisting of the weft thread can dissolve when the twist is opposite to the direction of the suction flow. This leads to a time-consuming and incorrect shot break repair.
The object of the present invention is therefore to provide a method and a device for the pneumatic pulling of a weft thread from the fabric stop edge, according to which a reliable pulling of the weft thread is made possible in the course of a weft breakage elimination.
Erfindungsgemäß erfolgt die Lösung durch die Merkmale des Anspruchs 1.According to the invention, the solution is achieved by the features of
It is essential here that a sucking and accessible rotating flow is generated depending on the thread-specific properties in a pull-off device arranged at the exit of the shed. In a preferred embodiment, the rotation and / or the strength of the suction flow are generated as a function of certain thread-specific properties.
In addition to the thread-specific parameters already used, the twist direction of the weft thread and any other necessary parameters, such as the tensile strength, are entered by the machine control. Of course, it is also possible to record these parameters with suitable devices.
An essential advantage of the invention in this preferred development is that it is no longer possible to unravel the weft thread. This leads to an improved pulling off of the weft thread.
Because the strength of the sucking flow, as is known, can be adjusted, an optimal peeling effect can be achieved. This leads to low energy consumption, low noise and overall an optimized pneumatic pulling.
When processing different weft threads, in particular in the case of fabrics in which several different weft threads are inserted, the relevant thread-specific properties of each weft thread are predefined for the control of the machine. This control unit is informed of which weft thread has just been inserted and, in the event of a machine stop, it can accordingly control the pneumatic removal during the automatic weft breakage elimination due to a faulty weft thread being entered.
The puller itself can be designed in the form of an injector nozzle, which is described in more detail with reference to the accompanying figures. However, it is of course also possible to carry out any other type of pneumatic pulling.
The application of the rotation to the suction flow and the setting of the strength of the suction flow can also be carried out in any manner. In this case, injector nozzles are not necessarily possible, but, of course, air baffles or the like which can be adjusted accordingly are also possible.
In the following, the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to drawings showing several possible embodiments.
