Description
Die Erfindung betrifft eine Saugwalze mit den im Oberbegriff des Anspruches 1 angegebenen Merkmalen. Saugwalzen werden bevorzugt in Papierherstellungsmaschinen angewandt, insbesondere um die Entwässerung der noch nassen Papier- oder Kartonbahn zu unterstützen. Ein seit Jahrzehnten immer wieder auftretendes Problem ist die unangenehme Geräuschentwicklung solcher Saugwalzen. Zahlreiche Maßnahmen zur Geräuschminderung an Saugwalzen sind beschrieben beispielsweise in der Zeitschrift TAPPI, Dezember 1956 vol. 39, Nr. 12, Seiten 851 bis 857.The invention relates to a suction roll with the features specified in the preamble of
Des weiteren ist aus US-PS 2,857,823 bekannt, entlang der Ablaufseite des stationären Saugkastens eine Geräuschdämpfungskammer vorzusehen. Das Innere dieser Geräuschdämpfungskammer ist bei der bekannten Saugwalze über relativ feine Öffnungen einerseits mit der Innenfläche des Walzenmantels und andererseits mit dem übrigen Innenraum der Saugwalze verbunden.Furthermore, it is known from US Pat.
