Außer den üblichen Einrichtungen eines Empfangsgerätes mit einem RDS-Decoder sind zur Nutzung des Verkehrsmeldungskanals TMC (Traffic Message Channel) Einrichtungen zur Decodierung, zur Speicherung, zur Weiterverarbeitung und zur Ausgabe der Verkehrsmeldungen erforderlich.

Claims (6)
- Verfahren zur Verwaltung von digital codierten Verkehrsmeldungen in Empfangsgeräten, wobei empfangene und auf Gültigkeit und Neuheit geprüfte Verkehrsmeldungen in einem Speicher abgelegt werden und je empfangener neuer Verkehrsmeldung ein Verwaltungsdatensatz (21 bis 2n) generiert und gespeichert wird, wobei der Verwaltungsdatensatz folgende Informationen enthält:Adresse der zugehörigen Verkehrsmeldung im Speicher,laufende Nummer der Verkehrsmeldung gemäß der Reihenfolge des erstmaligen Empfangs,
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß empfangene Verkehrsmeldungen durch Vergleich mit den bereits im Speicher abgelegten Verkehrsmeldungen auf Neuheit geprüft werden und daß für die empfangenen Verkehrsmeldungen, die nicht mehr neu sind, innerhalb des zugehörigen Verwaltungsdatensatzes die Zeit des jeweils letzten Empfangs der Verkehrsmeldung abgelegt wird.
- Verfahren nach einem der Ansprüche 1 oder 2, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Verwaltungsdatensatz (21-2n) folgende weitere Informationen enthält:Priorität der Verkehrsmeldung,Adresse des Verwaltungsdatensatzes der vorangegangenen Verkehrsmeldung,Adresse des Verwaltungsdatensatzes der folgenden Verkehrsmeldung,Gültigkeitsdauer undverschiedene Informationen über den Status der Verkehrsmeldung.
- Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß bei einer Änderung des Selektionskriteriums die im Speicher abgelegten Verkehrsmeldungen mit dem geänderten Selektionskriterium verglichen werden und im Falle einer bisher nicht selektierten, jedoch dem geänderten Selektionskriterium genügenden Verkehrsmeldung eine automatische Ausgabe erfolgt.
- Verfahren nach einem der vorhergehenden Ansprüche, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß eine Verkehrsmeldung gelöscht wird, wenn sie für eine bestimmte Dauer nicht erneut empfangen wird oder wenn eine diese Verkehrsmeldung betreffende Löschmeldung empfangen wird.
- Verfahren nach Anspruch 5, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß der Verwaltungsdatensatz die Gültigkeitsdauer enthält.
