Dadurch ergibt sich aber ein verhältnismäßig großer Platzbedarf für die Tragplatte, auf der die feststehenden Stempeltypen angeordnet sind, da zwischen der Stützleiste, über welche die Typenbänder des betreffenden Stempels geführt sind, und dem Rand der Öffnung, welche in der genannten Tragplatte für das Anordnen der auf den Typenbändern befindlichen verstellbaren Stempeltypen vorgesehen ist, beiderseits dieser Stützleiste ein das Passieren dieser Typenbänder ermöglichender Abstand vorgesehen sein muß. A self-inking stamp according to claims 4 and 5, characterised in that the bearing surface of the bearing shell (25) is a regular polygonal prismal surface and the adjustment wheel (13) carries successive transverse ribs (26) externally on its supported surface at angular spacings corresponding to this prismal surface and at the mutual intervals of the transverse ribs (23) of the character band (7).
    7. A self-inking stamp according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that the adjustment wheel (13) is provided with a bearing recess (28) and is mounted on a bearing axle (29) of the central body (20).
    8. A self-inking stamp according to claim 7, characterised in that the bearing axle (29) is integrally formed with the central body (20).
