Da die Bodenschwelle vorzugsweise aus Metall und insbesondere aus Aluminium hergestellt wird, wirkt die Bodenschwelle als Kältebrücke und es kann sich somit bei kalten Außentemperaturen Kondensat auf der Innenseite der Bodenschwelle bilden.
