Claims (19)

  1. Display unit, characterised in that it comprises a principal frame (16) mounted to articulate about a shaft (30) with a horizontal axis, equipped with at least one shelf supported by a horizontal spindle (30, 32) which is mounted to pivot about its axis on two uprights (18) of the principal frame (16), means (52) for pivoting the principal frame (16) about its pivotal shaft (30) so as to displace the principal shaft (16) between a compact ground position and a display position, and means (44) of stabilising the angular position of each shelf (24) independently of the position of the principal frame (16).
  2. Display unit according to claim 1, characterised in that the pivoting shaft (30) is prevented from rotating relative to its axis, and in that the means of stabilising the angle of each shelf (24) comprise means (44) of coupling the corresponding shelf-supporting spindle (32) with the pivoting shaft (30).
  3. Display unit according to claim 2, characterised in that the pivoting shaft (30) forms a shelf-supporting spindle.
  4. Display unit according to claim 2 or 3, characterised in that it comprises at least one shelf-supporting spindle (32) whose means of coupling with the pivoting shaft (30) comprise at least one chain or belt (44) for coupling to wheels (38) integral one with the shelf-supporting spindle and the other with the pivoting shaft (30).
  5. Display unit according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterised in that it comprises at least one secondary frame (22) integral with a shelf-supporting spindle (30, 32), comprising two shelves (24) off-set vertically and horizontally to one another.
  6. Display unit according to any one of claims 1 to 5, characterised in that the pivoting means (52) of the principal frame (16) comprise at least one pivoting arm (66) equipped with a first end (66A) mounted to pivot about an axis (X) parallel to the pivoting shaft (30) and with a second end (66B) mounted to slide in a slide (70) integral with the principal frame (16).
  7. Display unit according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterised in that in addition it comprises means (50; 50A) for vertical displacement of the pivoting shaft (30) coupled to the pivoting means (52).
  8. Display unit according to claim 7, characterised in that the means (50) of vertical displacement of the pivoting shaft (30) comprise at least one member (54) with a nut (58), integral with the pivoting shaft (30), co-operating, by being screwed on, with a threaded vertical drive rod (56).
  9. Display unit according to claims 6 and 8 taken together, characterised in that it comprises two lateral fixed frameworks (46) disposed on either side of the uprights (18) of the principal frame (16), each framework (46) carrying a pivoting arm (66) whose sliding end is provided with a jointed runner (68) co-operating with a section (70), forming a slide integral with a corresponding upright (18) of the principal frame (16), a threaded drive rod (56) co-operating, by being screwed on, with a member (54) with a nut (58) integral with a corresponding end of the joint pivot shaft (30), means (72) of coupling the pivoting arm (66) and the threaded drive rod (56), the threaded drive rod (56) of the framework (46) being coupled to at least one drive motor (61) or to manual drive means.
  10. Display unit according to claim 7, characterised in that the means (50A) of vertical displacement of the pivoting shaft (30) comprise at least one rocker bar assembly (86) defining an articulated parallelogram comprising two first parallel sides one of which is fixed, and the other (88) being integral with the pivot shaft (30), being displaceable by pivoting of the two other parallel sides (90, 92) of the parallelogram.
  11. Display unit according to claims 6 and 10 taken together, characterised in that it comprises two lateral fixed frameworks (46) disposed on either side of the uprights (18) of the principal frame (16), each framework (46) carrying a pivoting arm (66) the sliding end of which is equipped with an articulated runner (68) co-operating with a section forming a slide integral with a corresponding upright of the principal frame (16), a rocker bar assembly (86) forming an articulated parallelogram the mobile side of which (88), parallel to the fixed side, is integral with a corresponding end of the pivot shaft (30), means (100) of coupling the pivot arm (66) and a pivoting side (92) of the parallelogram, the pivoting arm (66) of the framework (46) being coupled to at least one drive motor (61) or to manual drive means.
  12. Display unit according to any one of claims 1 to 11, characterised in that it comprises resilient means (78) opposing the effects of the weight of the principal frame (16) and of its load during its movement.
  13. Display unit according to claims 6 and 12 taken together, characterised in that the resilient means opposing the effects of the weight of the principal frame comprise a blade spring (78) disposed in each of the frameworks (46) equipped with a first fixed end and with a second end sliding along the corresponding pivot arm (66) and being resiliently pushed against the latter.
  14. Display unit according to any one of claims 7 and 13, characterised in that it comprises resilient means (80; 104) of assisting the movement of the pivot shaft (30) towards its highest position.
  15. Display unit according to claims 9 and 14 taken together, characterised in that the resilient assisting means comprise a traction spring (80) disposed in each of the frameworks (46) equipped with an end connected to the corresponding member (54) with the nut (58).
  16. Display unit according to claims 11 and 14 taken together, characterised in that the resilient assisting means comprise a thrust spring (104) disposed in each framework (46) equipped with an end co-operating with a pivoting side (92) of the corresponding parallelogram (86).
  17. Arrangement of a display unit according to any one of the preceding claims in a room (2) comprising an opening (6) which is substantially vertical, characterised in that the display unit is movable through the opening (6) between an internal position in the room (2), when the principal frame (16) is in a compact ground position, and a position at least partly outside the room (2) when the principal frame (16) is in the display position.
  18. Arrangement according to claim 17, characterised in that the opening (6) of the room is closable by means of a retractable window (8).
  19. Arrangement according to claim 18, characterised in that the retractable window (8) comprises two shutters (10, 12) of a generally rectangular form, the adjacent edges (10A, 12A) of which are joined between themselves about a horizontal axis, and the opposed edges (10B, 12B) of which are disposed in the plane of the opening (6), so that one of these edges (10B) is articulated about a fixed horizontal axis, in the vicinity of the upper edge of the opening (6), and the other of these edges (12B) is displaceable in vertical translation with respect to the fixed axis of articulation.
