Claims (6)

  1. Deflection assembly for picture tubes, with a horizontal deflection coil assembly (12) and a vertical deflection coil assembly (16) joined to the horizontal deflection coil assembly (12), characterized in that one of the two deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) has at least two pin locating holes (19), in that adjusting pins (22) are provided on the other deflection coil assembly (12, 16), each adjusting pin (22) having a smaller shaft cross-section which does not fill the inside cross-section of the pin locating hole (19), in that the adjusting pins (22) pass through the pin locating holes (19) and in that the relative position of the adjusting pins (22) in the pin locating holes (19) and consequently also the relative alignment of the two deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) are permanently secured, in a surface normal to the axis of the deflection assembly, by retaining means (23, 24, 26), there being provided on and joined to each adjusting pin (22) retaining means (23, 24, 26) which bear, with at least part of their edge regions, on the edge (27) of the pin locating hole (19) and thereby exert a pressure force on the edge (27) of the respective pin locating hole (19) in the region of bearing pressure.
  2. Deflection assembly according to Claim 1, characterized in that either the pin locating hole (19) and/or the adjusting pin (22) are integrally joined to a component of the respective deflection coil assembly (12, 16) for which they are provided.
  3. Deflection assembly according to Claim 2, characterized in that the respective component of the horizontal deflection coil assembly (12) is a collar (11), formed from plastics material, on which the horizontal coil winding is fashioned and in that that component of the vertical deflection coil assembly (16) is a wire guiding ring (18) which is joined to the ferrite ring (15) of the vertical deflection coil assembly (16).
  4. Deflection assembly according to Claim 1 or Claim 2, characterized in that the adjusting pins (22) provided on the other deflection coil assembly (12, 16) are threaded pins and both deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) are joined together by a screwed connection.
  5. Deflection assembly according to any one of Claims 1, 2 or 4, characterized in that the retaining means are either heads (23, 23.1) of screws or rivets which are integrally joined to the adjusting pins (22) or are nuts (24) which can be screwed on to the adjusting pins (22).
  6. Method for the alignment and joining of vertical deflection coil assemblies (16) to horizontal deflection coil assemblies (12) of deflection assemblies (10) of picture tubes, characterized in that after the respective vertical deflection coil assembly (16) is disposed around the respective horizontal deflection coil assembly (12), adjusting pins (22) provided on one of the two deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) pass through pin locating holes (19) fashioned on the other deflection coil assembly (12, 16) and thereby movably fix both deflection assemblies (12, 16) to one another in a surface normal to the axis of the deflection assembly, in that both deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) are then aligned to one another and in that, in a final stage, the deflection coil assemblies (12, 16) which are aligned to one another are permanently joined by the combined action of the retaining means (23, 24, 26) provided on the adjusting pins (22).
