    Claims (14)

    1. Electrical apparatus of the kind comprising, in a casing (11), a thrust member (14) which on the one hand is a thrust member that is mounted movably between two positions, one being an extended position and the other being a retracted position, under the control of a control button (15) available to the user, and which on the other hand is subjected to resilient return means (13) urging it constantly in the direction of its extended position, and a selector (22) which is accessible to the user from the exterior and which is also mounted movably between two positions, one being a non-intervention position in which it allows the thrust member (14) to move freely between its two positions and the other being an intervention position in which in contrast it holds it disengageably in the retracted position, with, operatively disposed for that purpose between said thrust member (14) and said selector (22), latching means (23) and a latching lug (34) capable of retainingly co-operating with said latching means (23), characterised in that the latching means (23) are carried by the selector (22) while the latching lug (34) is carried by the thrust member (14).
    2. Electrical apparatus according to claim 1 characterised in that in addition to the latching means (23) the selector (22) comprises liberty means (24) which are neutral in relation to the thrust member (14).
    3. Electrical apparatus according to either one of claims 1 and 2 characterised in that the latching means (23) are cam means of the heart-shaped cam kind, the thrust member (14) comprising in transverse relationship a groove (32) in which the latching lug (34) moves and said cam means comprising in a cavity (36) which is also suitable for the movement of said latching lug (34) on the one hand a heart-shaped island portion (37) which is interposed on the path of movement of said latching lug (34) and whose tip (38) in the intervention position is directed towards the extended position of the thrust member (14) and on the other hand an array of ramps (40, 41, 42) which are capable of alternately directing the latching lug (34) of the thrust member (14) towards the depression (39) of the island portion (37) when, upon being moved into the retracted position, the thrust member (14) is released, and moving said latching lug (34) away from said island portion (37) when, the thrust member (14) thus being in the retracted position, its control button (15) is again acted upon.
    4. Electrical apparatus according to claim 3 characterised in that on respective sides of the island portion (37) of the latching means (23) the cavity (36) of the selector (22) defines in parallel relationship to the direction of movement (T) of the thrust member (14) on the one hand an entrance (E) and on the other hand an exit (S) and, when the selector (22) is in the intervention position, said cavity (36) is disposed in line with a cavity (44) which is formed in the casing (11) and with which the latching lug (34) of the thrust member (14) is in engagement.
    5. Electrical apparatus according to claim 2 characterised in that the liberty means (24) that the selector (22) comprises form a simple dead-end track for the latching lug (34) of the thrust member (14).
    6. Electrical apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 5 characterised in that the selector (32) is mounted rotatably in the casing (11) about an axis (A) orthogonal to the direction of movement (T) of the thrust member (14).
    7. Electrical apparatus according to claim 6 characterised in that the selector (22) is in the general form of a disc of circular contour, on a face of which are formed the latching means (23) associated with the thrust member (14).
    8. Electrical apparatus according to claims 2 and 7 in combination characterised in that the liberty means (24) are formed on the same face of the selector (22) as the latching means (23) at an angular spacing from the latter.
    9. Electrical apparatus according to claim 8 characterised in that the liberty means (24) are angularly spaced through 90° from the latching means (23).
    10. Electrical apparatus according to any one of claims 6 to 9 characterised in that, for rotary actuation thereof, the selector (22) comprises a hub (26) which is available to the user by way of an opening (28) in the casing (11).
    11. Electrical apparatus according to claim 10 characterised in that the hub (26) of the selector (22) diametrally has a groove (29) in the manner of the head of a screw.
    12. Electrical apparatus according to any one of claims 6 to 11 characterised in that the selector (22) comprises in projecting relationship a finger (50) by way of which, in the non-intervention position and in the intervention position, it co-operates in abutting relationship with one or other of two stop shoulders (51) provided for that purpose on the casing (11).
    13. Electrical apparatus according to any one of claims 6 to 12 characterised in that indexing means (52, 54) are provided between the selector (22) and the casing (11).
    14. Electrical apparatus according to any one of claims 6 to 13 characterised in that provided between the selector (22) and the thrust member (14) are engagement means (57, 59) for rotational blocking of the selector (22) by the thrust member (14) as soon as said thrust member (14) is moved away from its extended position.
