Abstract

The bolt (12) is movable into the locking position by a spring (18) and is actuated by a compression button (15) or a lock cylinder (16). There is a latch (13) and an auxiliary latch (14) which releases a catch (21) of the bolt, in compressed position. The latch controls a second swivel lever (31) for blocking the auxiliary latch which in its extended position is blocked by the swivel lever when the main latch is also extended. Pref. the button is fitted with followers (38,39) such that the bolt retraction takes place before that of the latch.

Description

The invention relates to a self-locking lock with a bolt which can be moved into the closed position by a spring, the bolt being operable via a follower or a locking cylinder, a latch and an auxiliary latch which, in the excluded position, has a catch for holding the bolt in place Open position releases.

Such locks are usually used with intrusion detection systems. On the one hand, they should ensure that the door is locked and only allow opening if authorization is given. On the other hand, it must be possible for anyone to reliably open it at least from one side in the event of panic. The authorized opening by means of a key is equivalent to an authorized opening via an external door button, the authorization being granted by the intrusion control panel. Irrespective of this, an opening for panic should be ensured at all times via an internal door button. It must also be prevented that in the case of an open door the locking bolt comes into the locked position and thus prevents the door leaf from being returned to the closed position.

A self-locking lock of the type mentioned is known from EP 0 425 431 A1. This document discloses a self-locking lock, which has a bolt and a locking plate. Furthermore, a trigger slide is provided, which is pressed outwards when the door opens, similar to a latch. This makes it fall a latch pawl hooks into the latch plate and prevents the latch from being pulled out under the action of the spring. A latch independent of the bolt is also provided. The positions of the important functions of the door, such as the position of the latch and bolt, are monitored and reported electrically. The problem is that the automatic locking of the bolt can be triggered when the door is open.

The invention has for its object to provide a self-locking lock of the type mentioned, which effectively prevents the bolt from extending automatically when the door is open.

This object is achieved in accordance with the characterizing features of claim 1. Preferred developments of the invention are described in the subclaims.

A basic idea of the invention is that an exclusion of the bolt is made dependent on two conditions that only exist together when the door in question is closed on the one hand and the door latch is also operated on the other hand. Conversely, these preconditions prevent the door latch from excluding when the door in question is open. Another feature of the invention is that the bolt is only held in this position in the retracted state when the door has actually been opened. It is therefore prevented that the undesired state of a closed door can occur when the lock is open when the bolt is inadvertently closed.

The lock contains a bolt 12, a latch 13 and an auxiliary latch 14. It can be actuated via a two-part (inside / outside) follower 15 and a key-operated locking cylinder 16 with a locking lug 17.

The bolt 12 is pressed by a spring 18 into the closed position shown in FIG. 1. It has a recess 19 which, in the closed position, engages with a nose 20 of a first catch 21 and with a nose 22 of a second catch 23 in the open position (FIG. 4). The auxiliary latch 14 is biased by a spring 24 in such a way that it is forced from the retracted position shown in FIG. 1 into the extended position shown in FIG. 4. The trap 13 is pressed with a spiral spring 25 into the extended position shown in FIG. 1.

A two-armed first pivot lever 27, supported on a pin 26, engages with an arm via a recess 28 in the latch 13 in such a way that it moves clockwise and counter-clockwise Spring force is pushed back into the housing 11. On its other arm, it is provided with a lug 29 which lies in the rotational path of the locking lug 17 and which forces a clockwise lever movement as soon as the locking lug 17 engages with the lug 29 during a clockwise movement. A second, two-armed pivot lever 31 mounted on the pin 30 also engages with one arm in the recess 28 of the latch 13, so that a sliding movement of the latch 13 causes a pivoting movement of the second pivot lever 31. With the other arm 32, the second pivot lever 31 is engaged with a nose 33 on the auxiliary latch 14 in such a way that it either releases or blocks the auxiliary latch 14, as will be described in more detail below. A third, three-armed pivot lever 35 mounted on a pin 34, via its two arms 36 and 37, provides an operative connection between the locking lug 17 and the first catch 21 in such a way that when the locking lug 17 moves clockwise, one arm 35 is carried along is and thereby disengages the first catch 21 from the bolt recess 19. The third pivot lever 35 is also operatively connected with its third arm to a driver 38 on the follower 15 in such a way that when the follower 15 moves clockwise the unlocking of the first catch 21 described above is carried out (rotation of the third pivot lever 35 counter to clockwise).

The handle follower 15 is divided into two, an inner follower 50 being connected to the driver 38 and another driver 39, which engages with the latch 13, in a rotationally fixed manner with a door knob (not shown) located on the inside of the door. An outer nut 40, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to an outside door knob (not shown), is connected via an electromagnetically actuated coupling 41 to the inner nut 50, which comprises a spring-loaded catch 42 and a Armature 43 of an electromagnet 44 serving for latch actuation. When the electromagnet is de-energized (Fig. 1), the detent 42 mounted at point 45 presses the armature stored at point 46 counterclockwise due to the spring load, the inner nut 50 of the follower nut 15 connected to the inner push button being connected to the outer pusher button connected outer nut 40 is uncoupled.

The function of the lock under various conditions is described below.

When actuated from the "outside" via the outside door button, a distinction must be made as to whether an intrusion alarm system control unit (not shown) has been given authorization to open the relevant door. When "not authorized", the clutch 41 is disengaged according to FIG. 1 (freewheel), so that no lock actuation can take place. If authorization is present, the coil 44 is energized according to FIG. 2, so that the armature 43 is attracted and the clutch 41 is engaged. In the case of a pusher movement in the clockwise direction, the third pivot lever 35 is pivoted counterclockwise and, after the pusher movement has advanced by approximately 15 °, the bolt 12 is pushed completely back into the housing 11 by the third pivot lever 35 via the driver 47 according to FIG. 2. At the same time, the driver 39 on the follower 15 pushes the latch 13 back against the bias of the spring 25, a complete retraction into the housing 11 having taken place after about 30 ° according to FIG. 3. The second catch 23 is prevented by the auxiliary latch 14 from pivoting and latching with the bolt recess 28 as long as the auxiliary latch 14 is pushed back according to FIGS. 1 to 3. The second catch 23 engages in the bolt recess 19 only when the door is opened, so that the auxiliary latch is pressed outwards by the spring 24 and the second catch 23 is released via a control bevel 49 on the auxiliary latch 14 (FIG. 4). However, if the door is not opened or the lever handle is released again, the latch 13 and the latch 12 close again into the position according to FIG. 1.

The same process occurs when the internal door handle is actuated, for example in the event of panic. The latch 12 is then withdrawn first and then the latch 13 and it only remains open if the two conditions described above are met. When the door handle is released, the latch 13 shoots forward again and the bolt 12 only remains open if the door has also been opened. If the inside door handle is pressed and released again without opening the door, the lock also closes again.

35.With an authorized lock actuation by means of a key, the sequence described above takes place without the clutch 41 however fulfilling a function. The bolt and latch actuation is carried out via the first and third pivot levers 27 and 35, respectively.

Beim Zurückschieben der Hilfsfalle 14 entrastet diese über die Steuerschräge 49 die zweite Raste 23.5, the latch 13 and the auxiliary latch 14 are excluded and the bolt 12 is closed. The auxiliary latch 14 is blocked by the second pivot lever 31 until the latch 13 is pushed back and thereby releases the lock. When the auxiliary latch 14 is pushed back, it unlocks the second catch 23 via the control slopes 49.

When the door is properly closed, the latch 13 runs onto a striking plate (not shown), being pushed back somewhat and unlocking the auxiliary latch 14. As a result, the bolt 12 shoots due to the pretension by the spring 18 in the closed position, so that an automatic lock is locked.

Otherwise, the lock can only be unlocked via the profile cylinder 16. This ensures that the bolt is retracted and locked in any case and can not advance with the door open. Because of the nose 29 on the third pivot lever 35, the key cannot be turned. When the bolt 14 and the latch 13 have been withdrawn by turning the key, the key must be turned back to the starting position. Depending on the type of lock used, the key is turned clockwise or counterclockwise.

The handle follower 15 is divided into two, an inner follower 50 and an outer follower 40. The inner follower 50 is specifically designed to perform a panic function.

In the previously described version of the coupling of the two-piece follower 15, the coupling 41 of the divided follower 15 was closed when the coil 44 was energized and opened when the coil 44 was not energized. In the embodiment shown in FIG. 6, the clutch is open and closes when the coil 44 is energized. When the coil 44 is energized, the lever 51 pivots about the bearing at point 54 and engages with the spherically rounded head 52 the lug 53 of the clutch of the trigger nut 15.

To perform a panic function, there is also the further possibility of designing the clutch so that it is initially closed and a nose 53 of the clutch 15 is blocked by a rounded head 52 of the lever 15 becomes. The nose 53 should also be bevelled or rounded, so that when a large force is exerted on the follower 15, the lever 51 is pushed away from the nose 53 by the rounded design of its head 52, thereby releasing the follower 15.
