  • the visor is articulated on each plate by two parallel upper and lower links respectively, the upper link being subjected to the action of a return spring which is fixed to the link and to the plate at two respective points determining a line along which the spring exerts a tensile force, these two points being distributed so that when the visor pivots from a low position (service position) to a high position (retracting position) or vice versa, the line determined by these two points passes from one side to the other from the point of articulation of this link to the plate with simultaneous extension of the spring, so that the spring exerts on the link a torque which tends to maintain said line on the side where it is located with respect to said point of articulation.

  • the lower end of the slide is located substantially at the lower edge (1a) of the cheek of the helmet.
  • the slide (3) and the plate (5) on the right as on the left, are shaped so that the plate can be inserted from below into the slide (arrow F in fig. 1) to a locking position in which a stud (5A) of the plate is housed in a window (1B) of the side wall of the helmet, the stud then preferably projecting slightly on this play.
  • the visor When the plates are in the locking position, the visor is in place on the helmet, capable of being tilted into the service position before the eyes or into the retracting position above the eyes.

  • the upper link (6) forms an elbow which extends upwards in a direction substantially perpendicular to the main direction of the link and on the end (6C) of which is articulated a rod (10) extended by a spring (9 ) of the cylindrical spiral type, the other end (9A) of which is pivotally mounted on the plate (5) in the vicinity of the end (7B) of the lower link.
  • the pair of rods (6,7), the plate (5) and the visor (2) form a deformable quadrilateral thanks to which it is possible lower and raise the visor (3).
  • the plate (5) has a stop (5B) which limits the tilting of the lower link upwards (fig. 3) and that of the upper link downwards (fig. 4) and consequently defines the extreme positions of the visor.
