Abstract

An apparatus for drying particulate material which has at least one container for the particulate material, which container is connected in a closed air circulating system with an air drying device and a heater. Dry, heated air is moved through the particulate material by a blower in order to extract moisture from the particulate material. The moisture-laden air is discharged from the particulate material container, then dried again and heated by the heater and then is supplied again to the container for the particulate material. A connection for introducing the dry air is provided in the upper region of the particulate material container and leads into a duct which is arranged centrally within the container and which is equipped at its lower end with an air distributor. The duct which extends inside the particulate material container has a heat-insulating construction.

Description

The invention relates to a device for drying Bulk goods according to the preamble of claim 1.

Such a device is known from DE-GM 89 10 763. The known device introduces the dried air through laterally flanged pipe to the bulk container is over an electric heater heats and flows in the lower area of the bulk container into the bulk material to be dried. The Bulk material is heated with this device directly in the area of the container outlet. The warm, dry Air flows upwards, heats the bulk goods and extracts them Moisture in the upper area of the container due to a Exhaust air outlet is suctioned off.

Due to the heater and the heated air introduced into the container there exists in this area a temperature difference on the one hand to the Exhaust air and on the other hand to the bulk material. In addition, the Bulk flow in the area mentioned by the arrangement obstructed by heating and air supply pipe.

From DE 36 37 700 is also a device for drying known from bulk goods. There is the dry, warmed air fed to the center of the bulk goods container and flows at the lower end the container via an air distribution pipe.

A disadvantage of this known device is the fact that the air supply pipe is surrounded by bulk material and that immediately bulk material adjacent to the air supply pipe is heated very strongly and may be thermally damaged.

While in the first state of the art the side Container arranged air supply pipe disadvantageous for that Product flow is in the state of the art according to DE 36 37 700 known, from top center over the entire cylindrical Height of the container guided air pipe is a uniform Mass flow are built up, but there is the disadvantage that the temperature control for the air inlet temperature in the granulate is difficult to regulate.

For example, as part of a high temperature drying at which the heater is flanged directly to the container and the Temperature sensor for the heating control immediately behind the Heating is located, the entry temperature of the dry air in the Granules less than that measured with the temperature sensor Temperature, because on the way through the cold granulate or cold Return air down considerable radiation losses occur and so that the dry air cools down.

Is the temperature sensor directly in the lower part of the Air distributor arranged this means that the air temperature in the upper part of the air supply pipe is significantly higher and therefore the granules that are in direct contact with the pipe, is subjected to an overtemperature treatment.

The invention is therefore based on the object Avoid disadvantages and a device for drying To create bulk goods, in which an even drying of the bulk material is possible with low temperature losses and an even temperature distribution both vertically as well is given horizontally.

This task is based on the generic term of Main claim solved by its characteristic features.

The main advantage of the invention is that now the thermal energy of the dried air or dried gas is made available immediately there where it is needed, namely on the drying hopper to the temperature value as specified by the control. Undefined heat release can be effective with the invention be prevented.

In particular with an automatic load adjustment method, such as it is known from DE patent 31 31 471, shows the invention a further increase in efficiency. In the known method is the amount of air flow through the Bulk drying container with increasing exhaust air temperature reduced, increased with decreasing exhaust air temperature. The Exhaust air temperature is directly at the air outlet of the Container or in the return air line. Through the Thermal insulation of the pipe, which the dried air Bulk container feeds, will falsify the Exhaust air temperature effectively prevented.

As described, the invention can be used for drying Plastic granules are used, they can be used in the same way Post-condensation of PET can be used. It is here too particularly important, a uniform temperature profile of the Granules can be reached over a long residence time. Of the Drying hopper for post-condensation of PET too Reactor called can also be used with a funnel wall heater be equipped.

To improve the Thermal insulation can be the space between the two pipes evacuated or filled with a heat insulating gas

An alternative embodiment provides that the tube with a flexible, temperature-resistant hose inside Mistake. This also creates a double-walled tube. The heat transfer can be very much by a suitable hose material be greatly reduced.

It is advisable to achieve an optimal product flow and according to a further embodiment of the invention, the pipe for supplying the dried air at the upper end to introduce the container concentrically into this container or in Insert the upper area of the container laterally and over a Transfer sheet to a central position.

This type of air flow in conjunction with the insulated Air distributor pipe is gaining in importance because especially at the treatment of polyester granules or polyester chips absolutely uniform residence time spectrum at high temperature with regard to the dry air must be ensured.

Even post-condensation or drying of Polyester granules or polyester chips can only be made if it is ensured in a continuous process that each individual grain the same in terms of time and temperature Has dwell time.

To avoid further heat loss it is according to another one Embodiment of the invention provided for the heating device Heating the dry gas either inside the container extending pipe or directly at the entrance to the pipe Arrange containers. This can lead to heat loss be minimized.

These and other features of preferred developments of the In addition to the claims go from the invention Description and the drawings, the individual Features individually or in groups in the form of Sub-combinations in the embodiment of the invention and on other areas to be realized and beneficial as well as for Protectable versions can present themselves for the here Protection is claimed.

If so in the invention or in the design of the inventions of dry air or dry air is both of course air as well as any type of gas and any type of Understand gas composition. The invention is limited not on the application of a certain gas composition.

Embodiments of the invention are shown in the drawings and are explained in more detail below. The drawing shows:
a bulk container for drying bulk material in a sectional view.

Die entfeuchtete Luft gelangt über eine Zuluftleitung 13 an den Schüttgutbehälter 10.The drawing schematically shows a bulk container 10 with a filler neck 25 through which the bulk material 19 is fed is, a bulk material removal 23 and a device 12 for Blowing in the dry and warmed air. To generate An air drying device 11 is provided for dry air. This is supplied with moist air via an exhaust air line 14. The dehumidified air reaches the through a supply air line 13 Bulk goods container 10.

In the drawing, only one bulk container is shown, it However, additional bulk containers are of course possible to be supplied with the air drying device 11. A Air drying device 11 is generally known and described for example in DE-PS 31 31 471. The Drying air is in a closed air circuit and is powered by a blower which Air drying device is arranged, moves. The over the Line 13 to the container 10 supplied dry air passes through a heating station 15 and then at the top of the Container via a flange 16 in the interior of the Container. The arranged inside the container 10 tube 17 for the guidance of the heated dry air in the lower area the container is double-walled. Of course there is also the possibility of using a single-wall pipe flexible hose inside, e.g. made of silicone or PUR, equip. By using a flexible hose in Very good thermal insulation is also achieved with a pipe. When using a double-walled tube, as shown in the figure is shown, the space between the two tubes be evacuated or filled with a gas.

The heated and flows in the lower region of the container 10 dried gas via an air distributor 18 in the to be dried Bulk material, absorbs the moisture and guides it over the Line 14 of the air drying device 11.

The inventive method is also used for the post-condensation of PET Facility able to increase efficiency and process reliability increase. The drying process runs during this post-condensation similar to the drying process shown here, whereby Temperatures of 200 ° C and residence times of over 20 hours must be observed. Again, it is particularly important a uniform temperature profile of the granules over the long To achieve dwell time. The drying hopper, which too Reactor is also has temperature gradients to prevent funnel wall heating, for example in Art a double jacket with an oil circuit.
