Definitions
- the invention relates to a diving jacket with a back part, which has at least one chamber that can be filled with a gaseous medium.
- Diving jackets of this type are used above all so that the wearer, in the event of imminent danger, can inflate them close to or on the surface of the water, so that they are kept afloat in the event of fatigue or, for example, imminent fainting.
- the chamber which can be filled with the gaseous medium is generally connected to the diving bottle via a corresponding valve, so that the chamber is filled with a medium from the diving bottle.
- the diving jacket then keeps the diver afloat together with the relatively heavy diving bottles.
- a diving jacket can still consist of side parts and a shoulder section, which are connected to each other via appropriate straps. Accordingly, these side parts or shoulder parts can also have their own chambers or chambers connected to the back part.
- the present invention relates to all of these diving jackets and others not specifically mentioned.
- a disadvantage of these diving jackets is that when the chambers are filled, the position of the diver in the water is not controlled. In the worst case it is possible that the back part presses the diving bottle over the surface of the water, but keeps the diver under water. In the other case, the diver lies on his back, but his head hangs in the water.
- the present invention has for its object to provide a diving jacket of the above. To create type that eliminates these disadvantages and in particular ensures a lifting of the head above the water surface in any case.
- a headrest may be assigned to the back part with the interposition of a shoulder section.
- this headrest The sole purpose of this headrest is to keep a diver's head afloat. This happens in any case, since the buoyancy of the headrest alone is so strong that the diver is brought into the desired position, namely the position in which his chin is definitely kept afloat.
- the headrest In the position of use, the headrest should form at least one chinrest, preferably two chinrests. Therefore, the headrest according to the invention consists of a neck area to which the chin rests are attached on both sides connect. Neck area in cooperation with the chin rests keep the head safe above water.
- the headrest can be sewn onto the back part or the shoulder part.
- a detachable connection is effected, for example, by a zipper.
- the headrest can be connected, for example, to a chamber of the back part or the shoulder part.
- the headrest can have its own valve or the actual valve for inflating the entire diving jacket.
- a diving jacket R has a back part 1 with a back plate 2.
- the back part 1 is adjoined on both sides by a side part 3 and 4, which can be connected to one another via a belt 5 with a quick-release fastener 6 over the stomach or chest of a user.
- a shoulder part 7 adjoins the back part 1, which rests on the shoulders of a user with two rags 8 and 9 in the use position.
- Both tabs 8 and 9 can be connected to the side parts 3 and 4 by forming a push-through opening 10 and 11 for the user's arms by means of carrying straps 12 and 13 and corresponding quick fasteners 14 and 15.
- the diving jacket R and here in particular the back part 1, the side parts 3 and 4 and the shoulder part 7 are designed to be inflatable. Ie, these parts form a common or shared chamber that can be filled with air, CO2 or the like.
- the diving jacket R also serves as a life jacket and keeps the diver afloat.
- the disadvantage here is that the main air volume is in the back part 1, so that there is a risk of the diver's head hanging in the water. This is especially true when the diver is passed out.
- a valve 16 is provided for filling the diving jacket R and possibly also for deflating the air from the diving jacket R. Furthermore, a quick release valve 17 is indicated.
- the shoulder section 7 is assigned a headrest 20 in a new diving jacket R 1.
- the headrest 20 is arranged as a roller around the neck of a user.
- the headrest 20 In the inflated state according to FIG. 3, however, the headrest 20 preferably encompasses almost the entire neck and engages under a user's chin by means of two supports 21 and 22.
- the chin supports 21 and 22 are connected in the use position via an inflated neck section 25. This ensures that a diver's head is always kept afloat.
- the headrest 20 is connected to the shoulder part 7 in a suitable manner.
- a seam 23 or a zipper is preferred.
- a CO2 or low-pressure connection 24 is also indicated.

Abstract
Description
- Figur 1 eine perspektivische Ansicht eines Tauchjackets entsprechend dem Stand der Technik;
- Figur 2 eine teilweise perspektivische Ansicht eines erfindungsgemäßen Tauchjackets;
