Definitions
- the invention relates to a table bowling alley in modular design with a cone footprint provided at one end of a ball track and with a control panel arranged at the other end of the ball track.
- Table bowling alleys are known in many forms, from simply equipped lanes where cones have to be set up by hand to fully automatic bowling alleys, all of whose functions, including the setting up and clearing of the cones, are electronically controlled. All table bowling alleys have a specially designed ball track, to which laterally recessed ball collecting channels, so-called poodle channels, are assigned. If the ball is thrown incorrectly, the ball coming off the ball track is caught in one of these channels and fed to a ball return channel, which means that the cone cannot change anything in the displayed image. The ball track is naturally subject to high wear, particularly in the area where the ball touches down.
- DE-U-9 001 469 shows an automatic table bowling alley in modular design consisting of an operating part, a ball track and a play part, all components being screwed together or otherwise non-positively connected.
- a coin validation unit and a control panel are embedded in the front of the control panel.
- a bowling alley emerges which has a plastic support with plank, tread and taper stand, the support being floatingly supported on the substructure in the longitudinal direction to compensate for thermal expansion and shrinkage of the plastic.
- the plastic support is laid on support strips profiled according to the fillet, and the support strips are attached to a base plate made of chip material or the like.
- a thin, flexible plate made of chipboard or hard fiber material can be arranged between the support and the support strips.
- the invention has for its object to provide a bowling alley of the type mentioned, which is characterized by an uncomplicated and reliable construction.
- This object is achieved in that a longitudinal groove is embedded in the plastic ball raceway, which by the action of a centrally on the underside of the ball raceway attacking tractive force is changeable.
- the production of the ball track from plastic results in a high abrasion resistance on the one hand and on the other hand sufficient noise reduction of the ball track.
- the fillet of the ball raceway a characteristic of a conventional tournament wooden bowling alley is realized, although the fillet increases the track thickness from the longitudinal axis of the track to the edges. This creates an asymmetrical tension in the cross-section of the track when exposed to increasing or decreasing heat, which causes the ball raceway to strive to curve upwards at the edges, which can change the dimensions of the fillet, which are prescribed by rules. This is avoided by the action of the tensile force acting centrally on the underside of the ball track, i.e. it counteracts the aspiration of the ball raceway to curve upwards at the edges.
- the ball raceway is expediently provided in one piece with ball gutters on both sides, as a result of which the ball raceway with the associated ball gutters is present as an exchangeable component.
- a rear stand housing which surrounds the cone-supporting surface in the form of a hood, a front base housing which carries the ball mounting area of the ball raceway and an intermediate connection housing which receives the ball raceway and an underlying ball return channel.
- a preassembled structural unit is used in the standing housing, which consists of the cone footprint, a cone positioning device with a cone sorter, cone conveyor and cone magazine and a ball return device.
- a display panel for showing the position and condition of the individual cones of the selected game type, the respective game status, the credit and the like is embedded in the front of the hood of the stand housing.
- a loudspeaker is expediently provided within the standing housing for outputting acoustic information, instructions or background music.
- the side walls of the stand housing are designed to be removable or pivotable.
- the base housing preferably has a ball catch pocket which adjoins the ball return channel and which is accessible through corresponding cutouts in the opposite side walls of the base housing.
- a coin processing device is installed in the base housing having a control panel, starting from the front of the base housing is operable.
- a ball lock is preferably assigned to the ball return channel, which releases the ball only after sufficient credit is available.
- an up and down movable, transparent disc is expediently arranged in front of the ball mounting surface within the hood of the standing housing and only assumes its open position when there is sufficient credit.
- connection housing carries, at its end connected to the base housing, a bridge spanning the ball raceway, the upper side of which has a button panel for triggering control functions. This offers the player an ergonomically arranged button operation.
- a light barrier connected to a microprocessor is expediently installed in the side parts of the bridge just above the ball track, with which the touchdown point and / or the initial speed of the ball can be determined.
- a second light barrier is preferably installed in front of the cone footprint just above the ball track in the hood of the standing housing, by means of which the track speed of the ball can be determined in cooperation with the first light barrier. If the predetermined track speed of the ball is too high, the ball throw is evaluated as a miss throw in a special embodiment of the invention.
- the stand housing and the base housing are provided with height-adjustable feet.
- the table bowling alley is preferably designed on an appropriate scale of an official bowling alley, although not all individual parts are necessarily reduced to the same scale.
- the table bowling alley has a rear standing housing 1, which surrounds a cone standing surface arranged downstream of a ball raceway 3 with a hood 2.
- the cone 5 accommodates the cone mounting surface which can be moved up and down and can be converted into an inclined position.
- a preassembled unit 6 is inserted, which comprises the cone mounting surface 4, a cone positioning device 7 with a cone sorter 8, cone conveyor and cone magazine 9 and a ball return device.
- a display panel 10 In the front of the hood 2 is a display panel 10 with various displays 11 built in, which serve to represent the position and condition of the individual cones 5, the selected game type, the current status of a credit, etc.
- a transparent disk 12 which can be moved up and down and which, if there is insufficient credit for the table bowling alley to be ready to play, has moved down to the ball track 3 and thus blocked access to the cone 5 set up on the cone footprint 4 . Only when there is sufficient credit does the disc 12 move into its open position.
- the side walls 13 of the stand housing 1 are designed to be removable.
- a base housing 14 which carries the ball mounting area 15 of the ball track 3.
- a groove extending in the longitudinal direction is embedded in the plastic raceway 3, which can be changed by the action of a tensile force engaging centrally on the underside of the ball raceway 3.
- a connecting housing 16 located between the standing housing 1 and the base housing 14 accommodates the ball raceway 3, which is designed as an exchangeable path element and is divided into two sections 17, 18.
- the section 17 forms the rear part and the section 18 the front part of a scissor track, which overall is easily replaceable.
- An inclined ball return channel 21 runs from the ball return device below the ball raceway 3 in the connection housing 16 to a ball catch pocket 22 accommodated in the base housing 14 Side walls 24 of the base housing 14, the ball catch pocket 22 is accessible.
- a coin processing device is also installed in the base housing 14 and can be operated via coin acceptance slots 26 inserted into the front side 25 of the base housing 14.
- the credit available for the readiness to play of the bowling alley is also shown in the display panel 10.
- Coin return trays 27 are located below the coin acceptance slots 26.
- connection housing 16 In the connection area of the connection housing 16 to the base housing 14, the connection housing 16 carries a bridge 28 spanning the ball raceway 3 and the ball collecting troughs 20. On the top of the bridge 28, a key panel 29 comprising various keys is attached, with which different control functions are triggered .
- a light barrier 31 consisting of a transmitter and a receiver is installed in the side parts 30 of the bridge 28 and is connected to a microprocessor controlling all the functions of the bowling alley. With the help of this light barrier 31, the touchdown point and / or the initial speed of the ball can be determined.
- a second light barrier 32 consisting of transmitter and receiver is located in front of the cone footprint 4 just above the ball track 3 in the side parts of the hood 2 of the standing housing 1. With this light barrier 32, which is also connected to the microprocessor computer, the running speed is in cooperation with the first light barrier 31 the ball lockable.

Description
- Fig. 1
- Fig. 2
