Description

The invention relates to a street sweeper with a suction fan, a suction nozzle and a refuse container, which has a refuse inlet connected to the suction nozzle and an outlet for the suction air, the suction opening of the suction fan being mounted upward in the upper part of the refuse container.

In street sweepers of this type, the problem is known that the separation of the suctioned refuse from the suction air that is expelled again is insufficient. The noise shielding of the blower and motor has also been unsatisfactory to date. A known solution according to EP-B1 0 327 483 (Mathieu Sofraflor) provides a suction device for a self-propelled street sweeper with a chassis, a suction turbine and a collecting container for the suctioned rubbish. The suction turbine is mounted on a movable cover with a vertical axis above the collecting container. This lid is connected to a wall of the collecting container via an elastic member.

According to CH-A5 678 342 (Konrad Peter), the state of the art also includes a street sweeper with at least one suction nozzle, a waste container, a suction device and a liquid line for guiding liquid from the waste container into the area of the suction nozzle and binding the dust to obtain the liquid. A closing element is arranged in the liquid line, which opens only when there is a suction air stream.

Furthermore, according to DE-29 08 008 A1 (Kibo), it was proposed to design a vehicle of the type mentioned at the outset for cleaning roads, traffic areas and the like in such a way that it is largely independent of the shape of a collecting container and with a minimum of structural complexity and is flawless and effective Air and dirt particles are separated. This object was achieved in such a vehicle with a collecting container arranged on the chassis and having a swing-open rear wall, a throw-in tube guided into the container on the bottom and in a corner area on the cab, a fan located in front of the container and connected to the container via a suction shaft, and an intermediate fan The filter arrangement provided in the suction shaft end and container interior is solved in that the container interior is divided into a throw-in area and a settling and air extraction area by a partial partition wall which extends in the longitudinal direction of the container and downwards from the corner of the container, such that the throw-in tube is inclined against the container ceiling provided with a baffle plate arrangement is directed in the throw-in area, and that the filter arrangement has a large area and is attached to the container ceiling from the throw-in area and is shielded by the partial partition.

The object of the present invention is to provide a street sweeper which has an improved separation of the sweepings from the suction air.

According to the invention, this is achieved in a street sweeper of the type mentioned at the outset in that the suction opening of the suction fan is mounted centrally in the upper part of the refuse container with respect to length and width.

The invention is advantageously carried out in such a way that in the upper part of the refuse container, in the area of a cross section of the suction air flow that is substantially larger than the suction opening of the suction fan, a separating grid for the refuse is attached and below the suction fan and the collected waste whose motor is mounted.

The advantages achieved by the invention are that blocking of the suction opening of the suction fan by the rubbish is very difficult, that part of the exhaust air can be reused by recycling and that good noise reduction is achieved.

The invention is explained in more detail using exemplary embodiments in the following description and the figures of the drawing. Show it

Figure 2

Figure 3

Figure 4

As shown in FIG. 1, the street sweeper 1 shown comprises a chassis 2, a driver's cab 3, a waste bin 4 mounted on the chassis 2 and a suction device 5 which is mounted in a lid 6 of the waste bin 4. The waste bin 4 can be tipped backwards for emptying by means of a bearing 7. The garbage is collected by means of rotating brushes 8 in front of a suction nozzle 9 on the bottom 28 and from there reaches the garbage container 4 by means of a pipe 10, where it is directed towards the bottom of the container by means of a deflection plate 11.

As shown in FIG. 2, the rubbish bin 4 has a bottom 12 in which the rubbish 13 coming from the pipe 10 collects. The lid 6 of the refuse container 4 can be opened on hinges 14. The suction device 5 comprises a suction fan 15 which is mounted in the cover 6 approximately in the middle thereof. The suction opening 16 of the suction fan 15 is turned away from the garbage inlet 17 of the pipe 10 and from the garbage 18 collected in the floor 12 and is directed upwards.

This arrangement of the suction opening 16 has significant advantages. The suction fan 15 can suck in the air from the waste container 4 from all sides and therefore has an optimal effect. The cross section of the suction air flow, which comes from the refuse container 4 from below around the suction fan 15 to the suction opening 16, is thus in the upper part of the refuse container 4 and before reaching the suction opening 16, it is substantially larger than the cross section of the suction opening 16.

The top view according to FIGS. 2 and 3 shows that at the level of the suction opening 16 of the suction blower 15 and around this suction opening, a separating grille 19 is mounted to retain the waste. In the area of this large suction air cross section, the entrainment of garbage is reduced due to the lower air speed, so that blocking of the separating grid 19 is less likely. The suction air flow has a homogeneous speed distribution around the suction fan 15, speed peaks which could cause sweeping do not occur here.

In addition, due to the arrangement of the separating grid 19 above the suction fan 15, the path to the rubbish 13 is long, so that light material such as paper, sheets, etc. do not rise to the separating grid 19. As can be seen from FIG. 2, a drive motor 20 of the suction fan 15 is mounted below it and inside the waste container 4. This means that no installation space is required above the waste bin 4, and the waste bin 4 together with the waste collected therein result in a substantially improved noise reduction.

Fig. 1) umfassenden Baueinheit 27 am Boden 28 geführt.Fig. 4 shows an advantageous embodiment of the air supply and discharge to the refuse container 4 by means of the tube 10. At the outlet 21 of the suction fan 15, a knee tube 22 is connected, in which a movable flap 23 is mounted. This flap 23 is adjustably mounted on an axis 24 and causes an outlet of the exhaust air of preferably between 25% and 100% via an opening 25 in the elbow 22. The remaining part of the exhaust air between 75% and 0% is led via a discharge pipe 26 to a unit 27 on the floor 28 comprising the suction nozzle 9 (see FIG. 1).

This portion of the exhaust air which is returned through the discharge pipe 26 is used in the assembly 27 in order to determine the absorption effect for the waste, e.g. in the form of dust. When light material such as paper, sheets, etc. is picked up, the opening 25 in the knee tube 22 is opened completely by means of the flap 23. No air is now returned and the suction nozzle 9 can be lifted up without scattering the waste, as e.g. when large amounts of leaves are ingested.
