Definitions
- the invention relates to coupling devices with movable and rigid coupling parts for drag circuit conveyors according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Drag circuit conveyors based on the power-and-free system and coupling devices intended for them are known in large numbers and in a wide variety of variants.
- DE-B-12 31 169 shows a simple driver construction. It is a one-piece driver pawl designed as a one-armed swivel lever, which has a bevel at the front and rear and a rectangular recess in the bottom center. A rigid coupling part provided on the towing vehicle engages in this recess. Further driver designs time GB-A-91 75 98. It is a two-part and a three-part driver pawl; nevertheless, they do not allow any additional functions. Driver structures with additional functions, e.g. B.
- Coupling devices of drag chain conveyors have to meet a whole series of requirements. They have to connect and disconnect quickly and safely, they have to ensure a secure, form-fitting connection when transporting on level routes, on slopes and inclines, they have to disengage when a carriage is standing on a standing carriage without back pressure and it must be possible to have individual carriages to be able to push through manually under a coupling device without a coupling process occurring.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a coupling device which has all of these capabilities, is of simple construction and is therefore less susceptible to dirt.
- the main advantage of the coupling device according to the invention can be seen in the fact that it only consists of two moving parts, the coupling hook and the locking finger, which, however, can be moved completely independently of one another, so that neither precision processes during manufacture nor adjustments during assembly are required.
- the swivel angle of the coupling hook is not only limited downwards but also upwards, preferably by means of a stop in a housing opening of the coupling carriage.
- the coupling hook is preferably injection molded from plastic, for example polyamide, optionally with fiber reinforcement.
- the pivot axis of the coupling hook - viewed in the conveying direction - is positioned behind and above the driver edge. This results in a self-amplification of the force with which the coupling hook is pressed against the rigid coupling part, so that a safe transport takes place in particular also on inclines.
- the drives of the carriages consist of an approximately C-shaped steel sheet. This makes them very easy to manufacture. At the same time, they fulfill the function of the rigid coupling parts.
- the length of the cutout i. H. the distance between the driving edge and the retaining edge, as is known per se, is greater than the length of the front drives, but shorter than the length of the rear drives. If the rear drives are made from the same approximately C-shaped steel sheets to simplify production, a nose is additionally attached, for example welded, to prevent the coupling hook from falling.
- a swivel spring can be mounted. This spring can support the effect of gravity in a hanging arrangement of the coupling hook, and can even cancel it in a standing arrangement.
- a driven conveyor chain 2 runs endlessly in an upper guide rail 1, for example an aluminum hollow profile slotted at the bottom.
- Coupling carriages 3 are fastened to this at regular intervals, which are supported with rollers 4 on the guide rail 1 and whose housing protrudes from the bottom of the guide rail 1.
- a coupling hook 5 is pivotally attached to the coupling carriage 3 with the aid of a horizontal pivot axis 6, a stop 7 in a housing opening of the coupling carriage 3 limiting the pivoting angle both downwards and upwards.
- the coupling hook 5 has an approximately rectangular cutout 8 which is open at the bottom and is delimited on the one hand by a driving edge 8.1 and on the other hand by a holding edge 8.2.
- a locking finger 9 is attached in an oscillating manner and can be countersunk in a recess 10.
- the pendulum angle of the locking finger 9 in the direction of the holding edge 8.2 is limited, either by a stop or by the holding edge 8.2 itself.
- the coupling hook 5 also has a front run-on slope 11, which ensures that it is raised when it runs onto one of the rigid coupling parts, which will be described in more detail with reference to the following figures.
- Fig. 2 shows the interaction between the movable and rigid coupling part in the normal transport situation.
- the front drive 21 simultaneously forms the rigid coupling part into which the coupling hook 5 or the cutout 8 snaps into place.
- the driving edge 8.1 lies against the drive 21 from behind.
- the locking finger 9 rests functionally on the drive 21.
- the pivot axis 6 of the coupling hook 5 is located - in relation to the conveying direction - behind and above the driver edge 8.1. This results in a self-amplification of the force with which the coupling hook 5 is pressed onto the drive 21 from above, so that also in Incline distances the coupling between moving and fixed coupling parts remains secure.
- the drive 21 lies against the holding edge 8.2, which can easily be made longer than the driving edge 8.1, so that downhill sections can also be driven through without interference.
- Fig. 3 shows the situation when the carriage 20.1 is pushed by hand under the coupling hook 5.
- the pushing speed, represented by the arrow II, is greater than the transport speed, represented by the arrow I.
- the front edge of the drive 21 lifts the coupling hook 5 until the holding edge 8.1 rests on top of the drive 21.
- the locking finger 9 is then pivoted forward against its stop. It is not possible for the cutout 8 to fall into place and the retaining edge 8.2 to get caught with the drive 21.
- Fig. 4 finally shows the situation when accumulation.
- the carriage 20.1 runs onto a carriage 20.2 standing on the running rail 15, the rear carriage 23 of which is shown.
- the rear edge of the rear drive 23 lifts the coupling hook 5 with the aid of the bevel 11 until the driving edge 8.1 loses contact with the front drive 21 of the carriage 20.1.
- the holding edge 8.2 of the coupling hook 5 runs along the rear drive 23. So that the coupling hook 5 does not couple with the rear drive 23, a nose 24 is provided thereon, which is so long that the total length of the rear drive 23 is greater than the length of the cutout 8 between the holding edge 8.2 and the driving edge 8.1.
- the coupling hook 5 slides over the drives 21, 23 without back pressure.
- the coupling hook 5 and the locking finger 9 which can be moved completely independently of one another, so that high precision or adjustment is not required either during manufacture or during assembly. Thanks to the minimal number of moving parts, the risk of malfunctions due to contamination is minimal. If, as shown in the drawing, the movable coupling parts run above the fixed coupling parts, as is predominantly the case, the coupling device functions solely due to gravity. Should a standing arrangement of the coupling device be desired, the function of gravity can be replaced by appropriate spring forces, so that the device according to the invention also works without problems in this case.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to coupling devices with movable and rigid coupling parts for drag circuit conveyors according to the preamble of
Drag circuit conveyors based on the power-and-free system and coupling devices intended for them are known in large numbers and in a wide variety of variants. DE-B-12 31 169 shows a simple driver construction. A rigid coupling part provided on the towing vehicle engages in this recess. Further driver designs time GB-A-91 75 98. It is a two-part and a three-part driver pawl; nevertheless, they do not allow any additional functions. Driver structures with additional functions, e.g. B. automatic disengagement when driving onto a standing towing vehicle or the possibility of pushing the towing vehicle by hand by the driver without the driver engaging are also well known. Coupling devices of drag chain conveyors have to meet a whole series of requirements.
The present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a coupling device which has all of these capabilities, is of simple construction and is therefore less susceptible to dirt.
This object is achieved by a generic coupling device with the features according to the characterizing part of
The main advantage of the coupling device according to the invention can be seen in the fact that it only consists of two moving parts, the coupling hook and the locking finger, which, however, can be moved completely independently of one another, so that neither precision processes during manufacture nor adjustments during assembly are required. In addition, there is a geometrically unambiguous assignment of the point of application between the movable and rigid coupling part, namely during transport on flat routes and on gradients on the driving edge and in downhill gradients on the retaining edge.
According to a development of the invention, the swivel angle of the coupling hook is not only limited downwards but also upwards, preferably by means of a stop in a housing opening of the coupling carriage.
The coupling hook is preferably injection molded from plastic, for example polyamide, optionally with fiber reinforcement.
According to a preferred embodiment of the invention, the pivot axis of the coupling hook - viewed in the conveying direction - is positioned behind and above the driver edge. This results in a self-amplification of the force with which the coupling hook is pressed against the rigid coupling part, so that a safe transport takes place in particular also on inclines.
According to a development of the invention, the drives of the carriages consist of an approximately C-shaped steel sheet. This makes them very easy to manufacture. At the same time, they fulfill the function of the rigid coupling parts.
So that the coupling hook only couples to the front drives of the carriage in the conveying direction, the length of the cutout, i. H. the distance between the driving edge and the retaining edge, as is known per se, is greater than the length of the front drives, but shorter than the length of the rear drives. If the rear drives are made from the same approximately C-shaped steel sheets to simplify production, a nose is additionally attached, for example welded, to prevent the coupling hook from falling.
Can advantageously between the coupling carriage and Coupling hook a swivel spring can be mounted. This spring can support the effect of gravity in a hanging arrangement of the coupling hook, and can even cancel it in a standing arrangement.

In Fig. 1 you can see the essential parts of a drag chain conveyor according to the power-and-free system. A driven
The
Finally, the
Finally, a
Fig. 2 shows the interaction between the movable and rigid coupling part in the normal transport situation. One can first see a
The
In downhill sections, the
Fig. 3 shows the situation when the carriage 20.1 is pushed by hand under the
Fig. 4 schließlich zeigt die Situation beim Aufstauen. Der Kupplungshakten 5 gleitet staudruckfrei über die Laufwerke 21, 23.Fig. 4 finally shows the situation when accumulation. Here the carriage 20.1 runs onto a carriage 20.2 standing on the running
As the drawings show, there is mobility Coupling part consisting of only two movable parts, the
