Zur Lösung der gestellten Aufgabe sieht die Erfindung vor, daß die Anwickelhilfsvorrichtung als Andrückvorrichtung wie Bürste oder Rolle ausgebildet ist, die sich nur über die Breite der unmittelbar benachbarten Spulenflansche erstreckt und nur an den radial nach außen vorstehenden Spulenflansch-Umfangsflächen anliegt. Zunächst ist es nicht einleuchtend, daß eine solche stationäre Andrückvorrichtung die gestellte Aufgabe erfüllen kann, und zwar weil diese ihre Haltefunktion bei der fortlaufenden Umdrehung der Spule immer wieder aufgibt. Es hat sich aber bei Versuchen herausgestellt, daß die kurzzeitige Haltewirkung bei der hohen Umdrehungsgeschwindigkeit der Spulen ausreicht, um das Abspulen des Fadens von der vollen Spule zu vermeiden. Ist der Faden zwischen den beiden benachbarten Spulen durchtrennt und bleibt die volle Spule zum Abtransport stehen, so springt der Faden auf und muß dann an der Wicklung gehalten werden. Hierfür sind auch Bürsten durch die CH-PS 239 933 oder Rollen durch die DE 34 46 692 A1 bekannt, jedoch liegen diese dort nur an dem Wickelgut an. Derartige Andrückvorrichtungen können aber das Abspulen des Fadenendes beim Überlegen zur leeren Spule nicht hindern, weil die letzten Windungen ganz dicht am Spulenflansch aufgewickelt sein können, wo die vorbekannte Rolle od. dgl. keinen Halt ausüben kann. Sie erstreckt sich nur über die Breite der beiden Spulenflansche 8, 9, der Raum zwischen den Flanschen 8, 9 kann auch ohne Bürstenhaare sein. Evtl. kann die Bürste auch einwenig breiter als die Breite der beiden Flansche 8, 9 sein, wie es gestrichelt angedeutet ist. Jedenfalls sollen die Borsten nicht das Wickelgut 12 berühren, das vor der Höhe der Spulenflansch-Umfangsflächen endet. Durch diese einfache Vorrichtungsergänzung können die geschnittenen Fadenenden erheblich kürzer, auf ein Drittel der Länge ohne Andrückvorrichtung gehalten werden. - Two-spool arrangement for the continuous winding of threads or the like onto two spools, which are axially in alignment with each other, are disposed adjacent each other and rotate in an axially driven manner, only one spool at a time being wound, said arrangement having a changing device, which is displaceable parallel to the spool axes for the forward and backward guidance of the thread during the winding process in a direction parallel to the spool axis, and having an auxiliary winding device associated with the spools, said auxiliary winding device gripping the thread during the changeover from the full spool to the empty spool and retaining the thread on the spools at least until it is severed by means of a cutting device disposed on the machine, characterised in that the auxiliary winding device is configured as a pressing device such as a brush (10) or a roller, which extends over only the width of the immediately adjacent spool flanges (8, 9) and only abuts against the peripheral faces of the spool flanges which protrude radially outwardly.
