Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging for cuboid packaging material such as books, tape cassettes, etc., which fastened an elongated cardboard strip for enclosing the packaging material as outer flaps and in the central region to the longitudinal edges of the cardboard strip and pivoting around bending lines running parallel to the inside edges as inner flaps for folding over has the packaged goods.
- a packaging of this type is known from AT-A-349974 by the same applicant, but which has the disadvantage that it has to be taped by hand before shipping, and this bonding must be very firm so that it is suitable for mailing , which in turn makes opening the packaging very difficult or, when opened, destroying the packaging.
- the re-gluing should be carried out be just as reliable when reusing the packaging as when using the packaging for the first time. It is particularly important that the necessary two self-adhesive layers and their protective covers can be applied mechanically to the packaging blanks.
- the packaging has the features according to claim 1.
- the packaging shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 consists of an elongated cardboard strip 1, preferably of corrugated cardboard, on the central area of which the goods to be packaged, such as a book 2, are placed, after a cross across this central area between opposite edges 3 and 4 extending and attached to these edges further cardboard strips 5 has been cut along a perforation line 6 running approximately in the middle, so that two inner flaps 7 and 8 are thereby formed. Of these flaps, the flap 7 is shown pivoted up, while the flap 8 folded around the book 2 rests on the top of the book.
- the cardboard strip 1 has on the opposite longitudinal edges inwardly folded edge strips 9 and 10, which serve for reinforcement, and below these the two flaps 7 and 8 are glued in the middle.
- the flap 7 can be swiveled up around the bending line 11 and the flap 8 around the bending line 12 around the inner edge of these edge strips 9 and 10.
- the corrugations of the corrugated cardboard run parallel to these bending lines 11 and 12, so that the flaps 7 and 8 can be folded around books of different thicknesses along any one of the corrugations as a bending line.
- the waves of the elongated cardboard strip 1 run at right angles to it, so that the two outer flaps 13 and 14 adjoining the middle area with the book lying thereon on both sides can be turned over just as easily.
- the reinforcing edge strips 9 and 10 and the inward bending lines 11 and 12 of the two flaps 7 and 8 result in a crumple zone which is gentle on the packaged goods, as can be seen in FIG. 2, when the packaging is closed.
- the outer flap 13 has, parallel to the end edge 15, a strip-shaped self-adhesive layer 16 on the inside, which is covered with a protective paper 17. After removing the same and turning the two outer flaps around the packaged goods, the packaging is quickly ready for dispatch. The adhesive connection is very strong and cannot be separated again without destroying the cardboard. So that the packaging can be reused and opened easily, in the embodiment according to Fig. 1. and 2 in the glued outer flap 13 parallel to the self-adhesive layer 16 a tear strip 19 defined by two perforation lines 18 is formed, from the ends of which two further perforation lines 20 extend at right angles to the bending line 21 running along the edge of the packaged goods. After the tear-off strip 19 has been pulled away, a limited section 22 of the flap 13 can be torn open to such an extent that the packaged goods can be removed easily because the opening that is created is as large as the distance between the inner flaps 7 and 8.
- the wide section 22 of the flap 13 to be torn open has a straight edge adjacent to the tear strip 19, along which a further self-adhesive layer 23 is applied on the inside during the manufacture of the packaging and is covered with a protective paper 24.
- a further self-adhesive layer 23 is applied on the inside during the manufacture of the packaging and is covered with a protective paper 24.
- the previously opened flap section 22 can therefore be glued to the second outer flap 14 again. This bond is large and stable enough to withstand rough transport.
- the cardboard strip and the inner flaps attached to it are made of corrugated cardboard, which has the advantage that any number of fold lines are predetermined by its use in the flaps to be folded over the goods to be packed.
- the elongated cardboard strips comprising the two outer flaps and two separate corrugated cardboard sections for the inner flaps have to be arranged at right angles to one another with respect to the alignment of the shafts.
- the inner and outer flaps, which are made of corrugated cardboard can be folded parallel to the shafts at any point, so that a thin or thick book can be packed quickly and easily in this way.
- the inner flaps that are first wrapped around the packaged goods are covered by the subsequently folded over outer flaps, and these overlap over a more or less large area depending on the thickness of the packaged goods.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a packaging for cuboid packaging material such as books, tape cassettes, etc., which fastened an elongated cardboard strip for enclosing the packaging material as outer flaps and in the central region to the longitudinal edges of the cardboard strip and pivoting around bending lines running parallel to the inside edges as inner flaps for folding over has the packaged goods.
A packaging of this type is known from AT-A-349974 by the same applicant, but which has the disadvantage that it has to be taped by hand before shipping, and this bonding must be very firm so that it is suitable for mailing , which in turn makes opening the packaging very difficult or, when opened, destroying the packaging.
It is also known to provide a package of this type with self-adhesive strips for closing and a perforation line parallel to it, along which the package can be torn open for the purpose of opening. The packaging material is then available as an open blank and can be closed again if there is another activatable self-adhesive strip.
The invention had for its object to provide a much more convenient to use packaging that allows the side removal of the packaged goods while maintaining the outer shape that was shipped to be used a second time to send the same or the same format content, for example to be able to send a video cassette back to the recipient after playing it, or to be able to use the same packaging for the return of a book ordered by a publisher for viewing. The re-gluing should be carried out be just as reliable when reusing the packaging as when using the packaging for the first time. It is particularly important that the necessary two self-adhesive layers and their protective covers can be applied mechanically to the packaging blanks. To achieve the object, the packaging has the features according to claim 1.
- Fig. 1 die Verpackung, geöffnet und in schaubildlicher Darstellung;
- Fig. 2 die nach dem erstmaligen Gebrauch aufgerissene und wiederverwendbare Verpackung gemäss Fig. 1;
- Figure 1 shows the packaging, opened and in a graphical representation.
- FIG. 2 shows the reusable packaging according to FIG. 1, which has been torn open after the first use;
The packaging shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 consists of an elongated cardboard strip 1, preferably of corrugated cardboard, on the central area of which the goods to be packaged, such as a
The reinforcing
The
In a preferred embodiment, the cardboard strip and the inner flaps attached to it are made of corrugated cardboard, which has the advantage that any number of fold lines are predetermined by its use in the flaps to be folded over the goods to be packed. For this purpose, only the elongated cardboard strips comprising the two outer flaps and two separate corrugated cardboard sections for the inner flaps have to be arranged at right angles to one another with respect to the alignment of the shafts. The inner and outer flaps, which are made of corrugated cardboard, can be folded parallel to the shafts at any point, so that a thin or thick book can be packed quickly and easily in this way. The inner flaps that are first wrapped around the packaged goods are covered by the subsequently folded over outer flaps, and these overlap over a more or less large area depending on the thickness of the packaged goods.
