Definitions
- the invention relates to a packaging for cuboid packaging material such as books, tape cassettes, etc., which fastened an elongated cardboard strip for enclosing the packaging material as outer flaps and in the central region to the longitudinal edges of the cardboard strip and pivoting around bending lines running parallel to the inside edges as inner flaps for folding over has the packaged goods.
- the cardboard strip and the inner flaps attached to it are made of corrugated cardboard, which has the advantage that any number of fold lines are predetermined by its use in the flaps to be folded over the packaging material.
- the elongated cardboard strips comprising the two outer flaps and two separate corrugated cardboard sections for the inner flaps have to be arranged at right angles to one another with respect to the alignment of the shafts.
- the inner and outer flaps which are made of corrugated cardboard, can be folded parallel to the shafts at any point, so that a thin or thick book can be packed quickly and easily in this way.
- the inner flaps first wrapped around the packaged goods are covered by the subsequently folded over outer flaps and these overlap over a more or less large area depending on the thickness of the packaged goods.
- a packaging of this type in which a self-adhesive layer provided with a removable protective cover is provided on the inside at the edge of an outer flap, so that after the protective cover has been removed, the outer flaps glue to one another very quickly and the packaging is ready for dispatch.
- the adhesive is, so that it is suitable for mail transport, very strong and so that the opening of the packaging is just as quick and easy
- a packaging in which the outer flap on top lies along a pre-punched V-shaped perforation line from the center can be torn open sideways and in the direction of the flap bending line, at the end of which an opening the size of a long side of the packaged goods is exposed so that it can be removed.
- the present invention was therefore based on the object to provide a packaging which can be closed quickly and reliably with regard to the stress during transport, which can be easily opened by the receiver and which can be reused, for example, a video cassette after playing to be able to send it back to the recipient or to be able to use the same packaging to return a book ordered by a publisher for viewing.
- the adhesive bond should be just as reliable when reused as when the packaging was first used.
- the packaging shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 consists of an elongated cardboard strip 1, preferably of corrugated cardboard, on the central area of which the packaged goods, such as a book 2, are placed, after a cross across this central area between opposite edges 3 and 4 extending and attached to these edges further cardboard strips 5 has been severed along a perforation line 6 running approximately in the middle at an angle, so that thereby two inner flaps 7 and 8 are formed. Of these flaps, the flap 7 is shown pivoted up, while the flap 8 folded around the book 2 rests on the top of the book.
- the cardboard strip 1 has on the opposite longitudinal edges inwardly folded edge strips 9 and 10, which serve for reinforcement, and below these the two flaps 7 and 8 are glued in the middle.
- the flap 7 can be swiveled up around the bending line 11 and the flap 8 around the bending line 12 around the inner edge of these edge strips 9 and 10.
- the corrugations of the corrugated cardboard run parallel to these bending lines 11 and 12, so that the flaps 7 and 8 can be folded around books of different thicknesses along any of the corrugations as a bending line.
- the waves of the elongated cardboard strip 1 run at right angles to it, so that the two outer flaps 13 and 14 adjoining the middle region with the book lying thereon on both sides can be turned over just as easily.
- the outer flap 13 has, parallel to the end edge 15, a strip-shaped self-adhesive layer 16 on the inside, which is covered with a protective paper 17. After removing the same and turning the two outer flaps around the packaged goods, the packaging is quickly ready for dispatch. The adhesive connection is very strong and cannot be separated again without destroying the cardboard. So that the packaging can be reused and opened easily, in the embodiment according to Fig. 1. and 2 in the glued outer flap 13 parallel to the self-adhesive layer 16, a tear strip 19 defined by two perforation lines 18 is formed, from the ends of which two further perforation lines 20 extend at right angles to the bending line 21 running along the edge of the packaged goods. After the tear-off strip 19 has been pulled away, a limited section 22 of the flap 13 can be torn open to such an extent that the packaged goods can be removed easily because the opening that is created is as large as the distance between the inner flaps 7 and 8.
- the wide section 22 of the flap 13 to be torn open has a straight edge adjacent to the tear strip 19, along which a further self-adhesive layer 23 is applied on the inside during the manufacture of the packaging and is covered with a protective paper 24.
- a further self-adhesive layer 23 is applied on the inside during the manufacture of the packaging and is covered with a protective paper 24.
- the previously opened flap section 22 can therefore be glued to the second outer flap 14 again. This bond is large and stable enough to withstand rough transport.
- the outer flap 13 has two mutually parallel self-adhesive layers 25 and 27 in strip form, which are each covered by a protective paper 26 and 28, and a pre-punched perforation line 29 between them on, which are all over the whole Extend flap width.
- the entire outer flap 13 can be opened by opening along the perforation line 29 and the packaging can be reused.
- a further perforation line 30, which runs further in parallel, enables the same opening principle to be used even after reuse.
- the arrangement of the self-adhesive strips with protective paper cover and the perforation lines is the same as for the cutting according to FIG. 3, but the double arrangement is present on both outer flaps 13 and 14, so that this packaging is made four times in the same way can be taped and opened.

Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a packaging for cuboid packaging material such as books, tape cassettes, etc., which fastened an elongated cardboard strip for enclosing the packaging material as outer flaps and in the central region to the longitudinal edges of the cardboard strip and pivoting around bending lines running parallel to the inside edges as inner flaps for folding over has the packaged goods. In a preferred embodiment, the cardboard strip and the inner flaps attached to it are made of corrugated cardboard, which has the advantage that any number of fold lines are predetermined by its use in the flaps to be folded over the packaging material. For this purpose, only the elongated cardboard strips comprising the two outer flaps and two separate corrugated cardboard sections for the inner flaps have to be arranged at right angles to one another with respect to the alignment of the shafts. The inner and outer flaps, which are made of corrugated cardboard, can be folded parallel to the shafts at any point, so that a thin or thick book can be packed quickly and easily in this way. The inner flaps first wrapped around the packaged goods are covered by the subsequently folded over outer flaps and these overlap over a more or less large area depending on the thickness of the packaged goods.
To further simplify packaging and preparation for shipping, a packaging of this type is known in which a self-adhesive layer provided with a removable protective cover is provided on the inside at the edge of an outer flap, so that after the protective cover has been removed, the outer flaps glue to one another very quickly and the packaging is ready for dispatch. The adhesive is, so that it is suitable for mail transport, very strong and so that the opening of the packaging is just as quick and easy, a packaging is known in which the outer flap on top lies along a pre-punched V-shaped perforation line from the center can be torn open sideways and in the direction of the flap bending line, at the end of which an opening the size of a long side of the packaged goods is exposed so that it can be removed.
It is not in the interests of environmental protection to have to throw away such packaging after use if it could serve the same purpose again. For this purpose, the torn open outer flap would have to be connected again to the other outer flap underneath by gluing, which would be easiest for the user to carry out again with a self-adhesive layer covered with protective paper. Within the V-shaped perforation line for tearing open, however, only a relatively small triangular area is available in the overlap area of the two outer flaps for attaching a self-adhesive layer to be machine-applied in strip form on the inside of the flap. Such an area-limited adhesive bond will therefore be quite unreliable and not very suitable for rough postal operations.
The present invention was therefore based on the object to provide a packaging which can be closed quickly and reliably with regard to the stress during transport, which can be easily opened by the receiver and which can be reused, for example, a video cassette after playing to be able to send it back to the recipient or to be able to use the same packaging to return a book ordered by a publisher for viewing. The adhesive bond should be just as reliable when reused as when the packaging was first used.
- Fig. 1 eine erste Ausführungsform der Verpackung, geöffnet und in schaubildlicher Darstellung;
- Fig. 2 die nach dem erstmaligen Gebrauch aufgerissene und wiederverwendbare Verpackung gemäss Fig. 1;
- 1 shows a first embodiment of the packaging, opened and in a diagrammatic representation;
- FIG. 2 shows the reusable packaging according to FIG. 1, which has been torn open after the first use;
- 3, 4 and 5 three blanks for various other embodiments of reusable packaging, on a smaller scale.
The packaging shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 2 consists of an elongated cardboard strip 1, preferably of corrugated cardboard, on the central area of which the packaged goods, such as a
Through the
The
In the modified embodiment according to FIG. 3, which shows the blank for the packaging, the
Bei der Wiederverwendung der Verpackung kommt die beim ersten Mal verklebte und dann aufgerissenen Klappe unter die andere äussere Klappe zu liegen.4, the arrangement of a self-adhesive layer with a protective paper cover and a perforation line is distributed over the two
Beim Zuschnitt für die Ausführungsform gemäss Fig. 5 ist die Anordnung der Selbstklebestreifen mit Schutzpapierabdeckung und der Perforationslinien wie beim Zuschnitt gemäss Fig.3, jedoch ist die doppelte Anordnung an beiden äusseren Klappen 13 und 14 vorhanden, so dass diese Verpackung insgesammt viermal in gleicher Weise zugeklebt und geöffnet werden kann.5, the arrangement of the self-adhesive strips with protective paper cover and the perforation lines is the same as for the cutting according to FIG. 3, but the double arrangement is present on both
