    a seat carrier (1; 101) and a backrest carrier (2; 102), the seat carrier and the backrest carrier being mounted on the load-bearing and pivoting device (80; 180) by means of knee-side and backrest-side struts arranged on a spindle body (45; 145), and it being possible to pivot the said carriers backwards about a horizontal axis (X) of the load-bearing and pivoting device counter to the restoring force at least of a first spring element (40, 40'), and it being possible for movements of the seat carrier (1; 101) and the backrest carrier (2; 102) to be transmitted to a second spring element (64; 164),
    characterised in that
    a retaining device (10; 110), through which the spindle body (45; 145) passes, is arranged at the upper end of the standing column (5, 105),
    the at least one spring element is designed as two helical springs (40, 40'; 140, 140') which are oriented in the longitudinal direction of the axis (X) on both sides, are arranged between the lateral struts (46, 46'; 146, 146') and the retaining device (10; 110), are mounted on the spindle body (45; 145) and, in order to adjust the spring restoring force, are held in each case, by one spring end piece (42, 42'; 142, 142'), on a bracing element (20; 120) mounted on the retaining device (10; 110) and, by the respectively other end (41, 41'; 141, 141'), on a bearing element (35, 35'; 130, 130') which is operatively connected to the backrest carrier (2, 102),
    the second spring elements can be fixed in any position and released again, and in that
    there is a knee-side sliding connection which connects the seat carrier to the load-bearing and pivoting device and in the case of which, for the purpose of executing a movement of the seat carrier relevant to the load-bearing and pivoting device, said movement having a translatory component, at least one sliding piece can be displaced in at least one slot-like cutout.
  3. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the backrest carrier can be moved relative to the seat carrier.
  4. Load-bearing frame according to Claim 3, characterised in that the seat carrier is supported on the backrest carrier via an articulation point (3, 3').
  5. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the spindle body (45; 145) is subdivided into two part-pieces, the spindle-body part-pieces (45', 45''; 145', 145''), on the one hand, being operatively connected to the struts (46, 46'; 146, 146') articulated on the knee side of the seat carrier (1; 101) and, on the other hand, being secured to the retaining device (10; 110) such that they are positively locked in terms of rotation.
  6. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the bracing element (20; 120) operatively connected to an end piece (42, 42'; 142, 142') can be pivoted, by means of two spaced-apart side parts (21, 21'; 121, 121') about a bolt (15), arranged on the retaining device (10) and parallel to the spindle body (45), or, for example, about the axis (X) of the spindle body (145), and can be adjusted relative to the retaining device (10; 110) by means of a threaded spindle (24; 124) provided with a gripping piece (25; 125).
  7. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the second spring element (64), designed as a pneumatic spring, is arranged between the two struts (46, 46') and is operatively connected, via associated lever systems (50, 50') and sliding pieces (60, 60') arranged thereon, to the struts (46, 46') such that, when the valve is open, the spring element (64) can be adjusted relative, and parallel, to the spindle body (45) during the adjustment movement of the backrest carrier and seat carrier (1, 2).
  8. Load-bearing frame according to Claim 1, characterised in that the second spring element (164) designed as a pneumatic spring is arranged, in a manner known per se, transversely to the spindle body (145) and is pivotably mounted, by one end, in the retaining device (110) and, by the other, knee-side end, on the seat carrier (101).
  9. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the spindle body (45; 145) is designed as a polygonal hollow profile body in profile cross-section.
  10. Load-bearing frame according to Claims 5 and 9, characterised in that the spindle-body part-pieces (45', 45''; 145', 145'') are designed as hexagonal hollow profile bodies and are connected to one another by a hexagonal coupling piece (144).
  11. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that the two helical springs (40, 40'; 140, 140') are mounted, at least by the end regions, on plastic bushings (43, 44, 43', 44'; 150, 155, 150', 155'), the plastic bushings, for pushing onto the spindle bodies (45; 145) with the cutouts, being adapted to the outer profile of the spindle bodies (45; 145).
  12. Load-bearing frame according to Claims 6 and 11, characterised in that the bracing element (120) is pivotably mounted, by the two side parts (121, 121'), each provided with an arcuate cutout (122, 122'), in a peripheral groove (153, 153') of the plastic bushing (155, 155') provided with a flange (154, 154').
  13. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a cutout penetrates the retaining device (10; 110), which cutout is designed in dependence on the profile cross-section of the spindle body (45; 145) or of the spindle-body part-pieces (45', 45''; 145', 145'') in order to achieve a positively locking connection.
  14. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that a cutout (112, 112') designed to be hexagonal in profile cross-section passes through the retaining device (110) which is designed in two parts from a housing (111) and a housing cover (115), which cutout is arranged and designed such that two corresponding edges of the hexagon form the separating surface of the housing and the housing cover (111, 115).
  15. Load-bearing frame according to one of the preceding claims, characterised in that those ends of the two struts (146, 146') assigned to the spindle-body part-pieces (145, 145') are designed in a polygonal manner and are connected in a positively locking manner to the spindle-body part-pieces (145, 145').
  16. Load-bearing frame according to Claims 14 and 15, characterised in that the spindle-body part-pieces (145, 145'), held in a positively locking manner in the retaining device (110) and in the struts (146, 146') and designed hexagonally, form, in extension of the corresponding edges (K, K'), the backwards-inclined position of the backrest carriers (102, 102').
  17. Load-bearing frame according to Claims 1 and 16, characterised in that the two backrest carriers (102, 102') are fastened on the bearing elements (130, 130'), the bearing elements (130, 130') each being provided with a cutout corresponding to the profile cross-section of the backrest carrier.
  18. Load-bearing frame according to Claims 1 and 9, or 2 and 9 characterised in that, for releasing or fixing, the pneumatic spring arranged in the standing column (5, 105) and/or the pneumatic spring (64; 164) arranged in the seat direction or transversely thereto are operatively connected to an actuating device via Bowden cable elements, and in that the Bowden cable elements are passed through the spindle body (45; 145) designed as a hollow profile body or through one or both spindle-body part-pieces.
