Abstract
Description
Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Beschichten einer transparenten, ggf. aus klarem Acrylglas bestehenden Trägerplatte mit einer metallischen Prägefolienbeschichtung, bei dem auf eine Seite der Trägerplatte eine Farbschicht und im Rollenprägeverfahren an die Farbschicht angrenzend eine metallische Prägefolie aufgebracht werden.The invention relates to a method for coating a transparent carrier plate, optionally made of clear acrylic glass, with a metallic stamping foil coating, in which a color layer is applied to one side of the carrier plate and a metallic stamping film is applied to the color layer in a roller stamping process.
Aus der DE-PS 38 08 689 ist ein Verfahren der vorstehend beschriebenen Art bekannt, bei dem zum selektiven, bereichsweisen Beschichten einer transparenten, ggf. aus klarem Acrylglas bestehenden Trägerplatte mit einer insbesondere metallischen Prägefolienbeschichtung auf die Trägerplatte zunächst im Siebdruckverfahren eine Abdeckfolie aufgebracht wird, welche lediglich die nicht zu beschichtenden Bereiche der Trägerplatte abdeckt, woraufhin im Rollenprägeverfahren die Prägefolie auf die gesamte die Abdeckfolie tragende Fläche der Trägerplatte aufgebracht, anschließend die Abdeckfolie von der Trägerplatte abgezogen und vorzugsweise im Siebdruckverfahren auf die Trägerplatte eine die mittels der Prägefolienbeschichtung bewirkte Farbgebung unterstützende Farbschicht aufgebracht wird, wobei die Farbschicht auf der auch die Prägefolienbeschichtung tragenden Beschichtungsseite der Trägerplatte angeordnet wird. Außerdem kann einer bestimmten Trägerplatte infolge der einheitlich zur Unterstützung der durch die Prägefolienbeschichtung bewirkten Farbgebung verwendeten gelben Farbe lediglich ein ganz bestimmter Farbton über die gesamte Fläche gegeben werden.The known method has proven itself. Der Erfindung liegt die überraschende Erkenntnis zugrunde, daß es gelingt, in Weiterbildung der in der DE-PS 38 08 689 beschriebenen Lehre unter Verwendung einer metallischen Prägefolie mit bestimmtem Farbton, beispielsweise unter Verwendung einer Silberfolie, auf die weiter unten noch, auf eine spezielle Ausführungsform bezogen, weiter eingegangen wird, entweder über die gesamte Fläche der Trägerplatte oder aber auch nur bereichsweise andere metallische Farbtöne zu erzielen, indem zumindest bereichsweise eine Farbschicht aus einer Farbe eingesetzt wird, die den durch die metallische Prägefolie bewirkten Farbton abwandelt. Wird also beispielsweise in Kombination mit einer Silberfolie eine gelbe Farbschicht verwendet, so entsteht in den betreffenden Bereichen der Trägerplatte, ggf. auch insgesamt über die Trägerplatte, ein Goldton. Dies gibt zum Beispiel die Möglichkeit, Beschichtungssyteme mit intensivem Goldton auf Trägerplatten zu erhalten, bei denen in Kombination mit einer Silber-Prägefolie eine gelbe Farbschicht, die sehr preiswert ist, verwendet wird. B. einer Silberfolie, zu erhalten. Hierdurch ist es beispielsweise möglich, auf einer silbern spiegelnden Trägerplatte bestimmte Bereiche "münzenartig" mit einem Goldton zu versehen.
