Abstract

The invention relates to a heat exchanger (10) having a flat tube packet (11) in a housing (20). A first medium flows through the flat tube packet (11) via an inlet (14) and an outlet (15). A second medium flows through the housing (20) via an inlet (21) and an outlet (22). The flat tube packet (11) is inserted together with sealing elements (30) into the housing (20). In a region between the inlet (21) and outlet (22), said sealing elements bridge the gap between the tube packet (11) and adjacent housing walls (23, 24) and are provided with elastic lips (31) which are directed against the housing wall (23, 24). The sealing elements (30) have metallic plates (32 to 34) which are soldered to the tube packet (11) and are, in particular, a single-piece part of a U-shaped plate part (29) forming a soldering aid. The elastic lips (31) are constructed from separate sealing profiles (35, 36, 35') which after soldering are mounted on the plates (32 to 34) of the plate part (29) before the insertion of the tube packet (11) into the housing (20). <IMAGE>
