    the middle part (7) having in the region of the upper hinge part (8) holes for screws (27) for attachment of the other hinge part (20) to the front face (12, 19) of the door, window or the like and the fixed frame
    and the upper hinge portion (8) of the other hinge part (20) being formed as a separate part from its middle part (7) extending as far as into the height of the upper hinge part (8) and a linear guide (9) being provided on the middle part (7) to form a fixed connection to the middle part (7) into which the upper hinge part (8) can be inserted from above,
    characterised in that
    the lower hinge portion (8) of the other hinge part (20) is integral with the middle part (7)
    and that the linear guide (9) on the middle part 7 extends as far as the height of the hinge portion (4) of the first hinge part (10) and the upper hinge portion (8) of the other hinge part (20) has a downwardly extending projection (36) guided in the linear guide (9).
  2. Hinge according to claim 1, characterised in that the projection (36) overlies all the attachment screws (27) inserted in the middle part (7).
  3. Hinge according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterised in that the linear guide (9) comprises opposed key and groove formations (21, 22).
  4. Hinge according to one of claims (1 to 3), characterised in that a detent device (24, 25, 26) snapping into the upper hinge portion (8) inserted in the linear guide (9) when in its end position is provided for holding the upper hinge portion (8) in this end position on the middle part (7).
  5. Hinge according to claim 4, characterised in that the detent device (24, 25, 26) comprises a spring-loaded ball (25) which projects from the middle part (7) into the path of the upper hinge portion (8) and engages in a recess (26) provided in a surface of the hinge portion (8) which faces the middle part (7).
  6.
