Claims (7)

  1. A drive of a lock bar fitting of a window or a door, comprising a handle (7) which is rotatably mounted on the frame of the movable door or window leaf, and a transmission arranged in the door or window leaf frame, having a pinion (8) and a rack (15), wherein the rack is coupled to lock bars (27, 28), characterised in that a transmission member is linearly movable in or on the transmission housing (1) by the pinion (8) which is drivable by means of the handle (7), mounted on said transmission member is a pinion (13) which can produce an output drive and which meshes with the rack (15) moving the lock bars (27, 28) and which is in engagement with a row of teeth (14) which is fixed with respect to the housing, the linearly movable transmission member is in the form of a slider (11) provided with a fork portion (12), the output-drive pinion (13) is rotatably mounted in the fork portion (12), provided at the end remote from the fork portion is a row of teeth (10a) which is in engagement with the driven pinion (8), and the slider (11) is guided in the region provided with the row of teeth (10a) in the rack (15) and with the mounting flanges (25) of the fork portion (12) in the transmission housing (1).
  2. A drive according to claim 1 characterised in that the transmission housing (1) has lateral longitudinal grooves (2, 3) into which engage edge bars (6) of a fitting receiving groove (4) of the door or window leaf frame, the transmission housing (1) extends to the bottom (19) of the fitting receiving groove and on the opposite side projects with the associated rack (15) into the chamber between the door or window leaf frame and the fixed frame.
  3. A drive according to claim 1 or claim 2 characterised in that the rack (15) is of U-shaped configuration in cross-section, covers over one side of the housing, and engages with inwardly directed guide bars (18) into grooves in the transmission housing (1).
  4. A drive according to claim 3 characterised in that the rack (15) and the transmission housing (1) are divided in the longitudinal direction.
  5. A drive according to one of claims 1 to 4 characterised in that a quadrangular opening (9) in the driven pinion (8) is open to the jamb side of the window leaf and the transmission is fixed in the longitudinal direction of the fitting receiving groove (4) by the inserted quadrangular member (10) of the handle (7).
  6. A drive according to one of the preceding claims characterised in that the driven pinion (8) is rotatably mounted with its addendum circle diameter in a bore in the transmission housing (1).
  7. A drive according to one of claims 1 to 6 characterised in that the pinion (8) has mounting projections (21) related to the dedendun circle of the tooth arrangement, which engage into openings in the transmission housing (1).
