Description

The invention relates to a rail base for anchoring railroad tracks in a solid, ballast-free superstructure, the lower part of the rail base being inserted into a sleeper shoe consisting of a base plate and side walls made of elastic material and being mounted in corresponding recesses in the superstructure.

The rail bases are inserted in pairs, opposite each other across the track direction, in the corresponding recesses in the superstructure. The railroad rails are inserted and fastened in brackets on the top of the rail base. The rail bases can either be mounted as individual blocks or in pairs connected to cross sleepers by cross braces.

The sleeper shoe made of elastic material provides vibration and sound insulation between the concrete base and the fixed superstructure. If a base plate made of closed-cell, microcellular material is additionally inserted into the sleeper shoe, or if the bottom of the sleeper shoe itself is made of such a material, the good elasticity and damping properties corresponding to a ballast bed are definitely achieved. In a shoe base known from DE-AS 12 75 081, the sleeper shoe is mounted by simply sliding it onto the lower area of the rail base. It is held only by the elasticity of the side walls of the sleeper shoe that abut the side surfaces of the concrete base.

However, the known rail base has the disadvantage that it can only be used in a dry environment, ie. H. can be used in the tunnel, but not on rail routes laid outdoors. In the case of a track section laid outdoors, there is a risk that moisture, such as, for. B. rainwater, can penetrate into the swell shoe. However, a swell shoe filled with water loses a substantial part of its elastic behavior, especially when ice forms in winter, so that its functionality is severely restricted.

The present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying an improved rail base which avoids these disadvantages and can therefore be used universally, in particular also on rail lines laid outdoors.

In the case of a rail base of the type mentioned at the outset, this object is achieved according to the invention in that a circumferential sealing frame made of elastic material is provided in the area of the upper edges of the side walls of the sleeper shoe, the lower edge area of which overlaps the upper edge of the side walls of the sleeper shoe on the outside thereof and connects them in a sealing manner is, and the upper edge region is sealingly connected to the side surfaces of the rail base.

The sealing frame made of elastic material according to the invention reliably prevents moisture from disadvantageously entering the inner region of the sleeper shoe. Although two sealing connections are required with this solution, these are more controlled and easier to manufacture.

According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, the rail base is made of concrete, the upper edge region of the sealing frame being cast into the rail base when the rail base is manufactured. In this case, it is expedient to form the edge of the upper, cast-in edge region of the sealing frame in a bead-like manner or to enclose it in an additional metal frame, which in turn is cast into the rail base. This ensures that the sealing frame is securely and permanently anchored in the rail base.

The lower edge region of the sealing frame, which overlaps the side walls of the sleeper shoe, is expediently welded to the side walls. Overall, a reliable and permanently tight connection between the rail base and the sleeper shoe is achieved.

The invention is explained in more detail below on the basis of the exemplary embodiments illustrated in FIGS. 1 to 4.

In the embodiment shown in FIG. 1, two rail bases 2 are each connected to a crossbar by a cross strut 12. The rail bases 2 are each inserted in sleeper shoes 3 made of elastic material, into which a base plate 4 made of closed-cell, microcellular material is additionally inserted, and are stored together with these in corresponding recesses in a concrete base plate 1 of a fixed track superstructure. Rails 6 are placed on elastic intermediate plates 5 on the rail bases 2 and fastened with brackets 7 and screws 8. In the example shown, the rail bases 2 are made of concrete. For the sealing connection of the rail base 2 and the sleeper shoe 3, a circumferential sealing frame 9 is cast into the rail base 2 with its upper edge region 11. The lower edge area 10 of the sealing frame 9 overlaps the upper edge area of the side walls 13 of the sleeper shoe 3 and is sealingly connected to it by gluing, but preferably welding.

According to the exemplary embodiments shown in FIG. 3, the upper edge region 11 of the sealing frame can simply be folded over and cast in (FIG. 3 a). Secure anchoring is achieved, however, if the edge of the cast-in edge region 11 has a circumferential bead 14 (FIG. 3 b) or is clamped in an additional metal frame 15 which is also cast in (FIG. 3 c).

The solutions shown in FIG. 4 are particularly useful when rail bases 2 made of non-pourable material, such as concrete, but instead of wood, for example, are to be used. In the examples of FIGS. 4 a and 4 b, the upper edge region 11 of the sealing frame 9 is glued to the rail base 2, wherein in the example of FIG. 4 b the sealing frame 9 has a type of bead in the adhesive region, which has the inward-facing back is glued into a corresponding groove 16 of the rail base 2 and is additionally secured by a circumferential tensioning band 17 inserted in the outer bead recess.
