Definitions
- Coaxial connector element for connection to a printed circuit board
- the invention relates to a coaxial connector element for connection to a printed circuit board, wherein a central connecting pin connected to an inner conductor and at least two peripheral connecting pins connected to a hollow cylindrical outer conductor are each provided with a press-in zone for fastening in one bore of the printed circuit board.
- a connector element of this type with press-in pins is described in DE 89 07 785 U.
- the press-in pins allow a solderless connection of the coaxial connector with a printed circuit board wiring.
- the object of the invention is therefore to develop a coaxial connector of the type mentioned at the outset in such a way that reliable high-frequency tightness is also achieved in the area of the press-in pins on the printed circuit board.
- this object is achieved in that in the area between the press-in zones of the connecting pins and the outer conductor, a shield sleeve is held on the peripheral connecting pins in an axially displaceable manner, the inward-facing edge of which overlaps coaxially with the outer conductor.
- the shielding sleeve has axially parallel longitudinal grooves in its circumference, in which the peripheral connecting pins are slidably guided.
- at least two peripheral connection pins are provided for reasons of symmetry, on which the shield sleeve can be guided via corresponding two longitudinal grooves.
- three or more such connection pins with a corresponding number of grooves can also be provided in the shielding sleeve.
- the shield sleeve has a first section with a greater wall thickness to form a larger end-face contact surface on the printed circuit board for the purpose of HF-tight shielding and a second section with a smaller wall thickness for overlapping contact with the outer conductor.
- This second section can be split at least over part of its axial length into a plurality of resilient tabs for contacting the outer conductor.
- the end face of the shielding sleeve facing outwards or towards the printed circuit board is expediently provided with coaxial webs or grooves. These webs give reliable contact with the printed circuit board coating and thus ensure high-frequency tightness.
- FIG. 1 a coaxial connector element, half cut, in a printed circuit board
- FIG. 2 shows a view of the connector element from FIG. 1, seen from the connecting pins,
- FIG. 3 shows a shielding sleeve from FIG. 1 in side view or in section
- Figure A shows a detail IV of Figure 3 in an enlarged view
- FIG. 5 shows a view V in the axial direction of the shielding sleeve from FIG. 3.
- the connector element shown in Figures 1 and 2 has an inner conductor 1 and an outer conductor 2, both of which are separated by a tubular insulation 3 and held coaxially with each other.
- the upper ends la and 2a of the inner conductor 1 and the outer conductor 2 are used in a known manner for coupling a complementary connector element, which will not be described further here.
- the connector element shown corresponds to the conventional structure.
- the lower end 1b of the inner conductor 1 has an axial bore (not visible) in which a central connecting pin 5 is anchored.
- the hollow cylindrical outer conductor 2 has two opposite longitudinal bores, likewise not shown, into which two peripheral connecting pins 7 are inserted in an axially parallel manner.
- These connecting pins 5 and 7 are each provided with a press-in zone 5a and 7a, respectively, with which they can be attached and contacted without soldering by pressing into contact bores 8a of a printed circuit board 8.
- This shield sleeve 10 has a first section 11 with a larger wall thickness and also a larger outside diameter. In this section 11, longitudinal grooves 12 are provided with which the shield sleeve is guided onto the peripheral connecting pins 7 with a press fit, but is displaceable. ,
- the shield sleeve has a second section 13 with a smaller wall thickness, which has circumferential webs 14 and 15 for contacting the outer conductor 2. Towards the free end, this section 13 is further divided by slots 16 into a plurality of (in the example four) resilient tabs 17, whereby contact with the outer conductor 2 is improved.
- the shielding sleeve On the lower, that is to say the end face 18 facing the printed circuit board, the shielding sleeve also has concentric annular grooves 19 or annular webs 20, by means of which the contact with the printed circuit board is improved and the shielding is thus secured.
- the structure of this end face 18 of the shielding sleeve is shown in an enlarged detail in FIG. 4.
- the connecting pins 5 and 7 are thus pressed into the corresponding bores 8a.
- the shield sleeve 10 comes into contact with the circuit board surface. If the screen sleeve is pushed in further, it is pushed back in the axial direction, the second section 13 of the screen sleeve being pushed into the cavity 21 between the outer conductor 2 and a tubular insulation 22 as required. After being pressed in, the space between the printed circuit board on the one hand and the outer conductor 2 on the other hand is completely shielded against high-frequency radiation.

Abstract
The recessed coaxial connector has a central recessed plug (5) as well as at least two peripheral recessed plugs (7) for establishing a soldering-free connection of the inner conductor (1) and the outer conductor (2) on a circuit board prints (8). An additional protective sleeve (10) sliding in the axial direction is arranged on the peripheral flush-mounting plugs (7), the inner edge of which covers the outer conductor (2). When pressing the flush-mount connection into the holes of the printed circuit board, the protective sleeve is slid as required and, regardless of the penetration depth and the tolerances, it establishes good contact with the circuit board. circuit boards and the outer conductor (2), which provides reliable HF shielding of the plug connection.
