Die Transferpressenlinie besteht aus mehreren in Teiletransportrichtung hintereinander aufgestellten einzelnen Pressen, die im Bereich der Pressentische mittels Spannbolzen miteinander verbunden sind sowie mittels einer durchgehenden Antriebswelle mit einem gemeinsamen Antrieb in Wirkverbindung stehen.
Zwischen jeder Werkzeugstufe ist eine Leerstufe vorgesehen, in der sich eine Ablage- und Umrüststation befindet.

Zum Teiletransport ist die Transferpressenlinie mit einer 2- bzw. 3-dimensional arbeitenden Transfereinrichtung ausgestattet, an deren längs zur Teiletransportrichtung laufenden Tragschienen 1 austauschbare teilespezifische Aufnahmeelemente befestigt sind.
Als Aufnahmeelemente sind vorzugsweise Saugertraversen 2 vorgesehen, die die Blechteile beim Transport zwischen den Werkzeugstufen auf den zur Lagefixierung dienenden Ablageschablonen 3 in den Leerstufen zwischenlagern. Die Ablageschablonen 3 sind mehrteilig ausgeführt. Mehrere Schablonenelemente sind vorzugsweise auf einem gemeinsamen Schablonenträger 4 befestigt.
Ragen die äußeren Schablonenelemente im Betriebszustand in den Pressenständer hinein, wie in Figur 1 dargestellt, ist beim Umrüstvorgang eine horizontale Verlagerung in Richtung Freiraummitte erforderlich.
Dazu sind die Schablonenträger 4 jeweils auf den äußeren Enden der schwenkbar gelagerten Doppelhebel 6 angeordnet.

An den inneren Enden ist ein Gleitstein 7 in einer Gleitsteinführung verschiebbar gelagert. Die durch beide Gleitsteine 7 ragenden Zapfen 8 sind mit der Spindelmutter 9 eines aus Spindel 19 und Stellantrieb 23 bestehenden Spindelantriebes wirkverbunden.
Der Doppelhebel 6 und der Spindelantrieb sind auf einer im Drehpunkt 20 gelenkig gelagerten Schwenktraverse 5 angeordnet. Je eine Schwenktraverse 5 befindet sich quer zur Drucklaufrichtung im äußeren Bereich der Ablage- und Umrüststation und dient zum bedarfsweisen Schwenken der Blechteile um die y-Achse zwecks Lageorientierung vor dem Transport in die Folgestufe.
Die Lage der Drehachse ist so gewählt, daß sie annähernd mit der Symmetrieachse der Blechteile übereinstimmt, um den Aufwand für erforderliche Korrekturbewegungen infolge Schwenkens zu reduzieren. Weitere Freiheitsgrade zur Lageorientierung der Blechteile ermöglichen der Hubmodul 17 in z-Richtung und die Fahrmodule 13 und 22 in der y- und x-Richtung.
Zum Umrüsten der teilespezifischen Ablageschablonen 3 außerhalb des Pressenraumes dient ein quer zur Teilestransportrichtung aus dem Leerstufenbereich ausfahrbarer Wechselwagen 14, der die Ablagestation im eingefahrenen Zustand U-förmig umschließt. Der Wechselwagen 14 enthält im oberen Bereich einen die Ablagestation umschließenden Rahmen 10, der mittels Hubeinrichtungen 18 vertikal verschiebbar ist.
In der ersten Phase des Umrüstvorganges werden die abgeschwenkten Schablonenträger 4 von einer ersten Zentrier- und Arretiervorrichtung 16 des Wechselwagens 14 übernommen und gleichzeitig von den Doppelhebeln 6 gelöst. Anschließend wird in der zweiten Phase durch vertikale Verschiebung des Rahmens 10 eine zweite Zentrier- und Arretiervorrichtung 21 zur Aufnahme der oberhalb der Ablagestation in Umrüstposition stehenden Saugertraversen 2 betätigt.
Im dargstellten Beispiel werden zeitlich nacheinander je eine der den benachbarten Werkzeugstufen zugeordneten Saugertraversen 2 von den Tragschienen 1 abgekoppelt und dem Wechselwagen 14 übergeben. Der auf diese Weise mit den Saugertraversen 2 und den Ablageschablonen 3 ausgerüstete Wechselwagen 14 wird anschließend analog den Schiebetischen aus dem Leerstufenbereich ausgefahren.
In vorteilhafter Ausführungsform kann ein zweiter, bereits mit neuen Ablageschablonen 3 und Saugertraversen 2 versehener Wechselwagen 14 zeitgleich von der entgegengesetzten Seite in den Leerstufenbereich eingefahren und in umgekehrter Reihenfolge der Umrüstvorgang beendet werden.
