Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a doctor blade device which consists of a plastic profile strip and a core strip made of steel or the like which extends parallel to the longitudinal axis of the plastic profile strip and is embedded in the latter. The doctor blade device is held on at least one holding arm and the core strip in Area of a squeegee (squeegee element) guided by the plastic profile strip is arranged. Such a squeegee device can be pressed with its squeegee working edge or surface against a work surface (work surface) such as a table, a roller and possibly a material web lying thereon, a conveyor belt, a stencil and the like. The devices are used in particular to apply substances to a work surface to be printed or coated. However, they are also used to treat a sheet-like support such as a web, a sheet of material, a roller or a belt by means of a stripping or sealing process. The size of a desired substance space between the profile bar and the work surface in front of the doctor element or a desired contact angle of the doctor element on the work surface is determined or set by the inclination position of the profile bar, possibly by pivoting the doctor device and / or determining the swivel angle of the doctor device.
From DE-GM 87 13 789.5, EP-A1-0 311 728 and EP-A1-0 311 730 doctor blade profiles with steel support elements embedded in them are known. To pivot the profile bar either a swivel joint is arranged directly on this, or the profile bar is with one this attached holding arm connected. Forces exerted on pivot bearing elements and / or holding and support arms arranged on the profile strip cause undesirable deformations and forces which disadvantageously stress the profile strip material on the profile strip, which is to be made of an elastic plastic material. Particularly when handling particularly long profile strips which extend over several meters, deformations of the profile strip material lead to doctor blades which remain unsatisfactory. Choosing a particularly hard plastic material results in mismatches between the profile strip and the steel strip embedded in it.
The invention has for its object to provide a doctor blade device with a core strip embedding profile strip, which is to be freed from forces acting on the profile strip during its handling and / or its operation, which leads to undesirable deformations and which can be equipped with a roller or Round doctor blade should be particularly well suited.
This object is achieved in connection with the features of the doctor device mentioned at the outset in that the doctor is captively encased in the plastic material of the profile strip, or between the core strip and a surface of the plastic profile strip in this at least one through opening in the form of a slot or the like. is formed and that the core strip is connected through the opening directly to a holding arm. By connecting the holding arm directly to the core bar made of steel or a similar material, the jacket material of the doctoring device formed by the profile bar remains free of undesired deformations. The direct connection of the holding arm to the core strip forms a durable connection without the one-piece profile strip being damaged. The core bar forms a kind Backbone, the plastic profile strip embedding this particularly rigid core strip and, according to the invention, also connecting it with a doctor blade, a roller blade or a circular blade. A roller or circular squeegee is enclosed in the "material flesh" of the profile strip. Since the core strip extends in the area of the squeegee, the enclosure, which partially encompasses the squeegee and keeps it captive, is freed from deformations damaging the latter, even if the profile strip material consists of a particularly flexible, flexible, plastic polymer material which is particularly highly slidable to perform a squeegee function . In particular, however, the fact that the profile strip material remains uninfluenced by swivel bearing, holding or other bearing forces reliably prevents deformation of the doctor blade casing or on its edges, so that the doctor blade remains captively held in the receptacle. Overall, a particularly hard-wearing doctor blade device with a particularly long service life is achieved.
Depending on the application, it is expedient to rigidly connect the holding or support arm passing through the opening to the core bar or to connect the arm end to the core bar in an articulated manner. Such a swivel bearing, which is preferably designed as a swivel-slide joint, lies within the opening, so is countersunk in it, so that no swivel mounting parts protrude from the profile strip surface.
It is particularly advantageous that the holding arm can be designed in the form of a strip element with an extension parallel to the longitudinal axis of the doctor device. When the arm is pivoted, a particularly stable hinge-like pivot connection is achieved.
A special embodiment according to the invention consists in that the plastic profile strip with a holder of the squeegee device, which supports the holding arm, is positioned opposite one another fixed final length freely shortenable element such as in particular a strip length provided with a certain length is connected in such a way that when the squeegee device is lifted off a work surface, a downward tilting / pivoting movement of the profile strip is limited by the then tight band. In particular in the case of printing machines equipped with circular templates, this avoids that the profile bar, which is moved upward away from the work surface when the printing machine is at a standstill, tilts into the likewise raised, rotating template and damages it.

As can be seen from the figures, each
According to the embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 4, four rod-
As can be seen from FIGS. 5 and 6, in another
In all of the exemplary embodiments, the
