Description

The invention relates to a heating plate package for regenerative heat exchangers, which consists of a plurality of superimposed, flow channels between themselves and at least partially profiled, e.g. there are sheets provided with embossings which have a coating serving as surface protection, for example an enamel layer.

However, the invention also relates to a method and a device for producing such profiled sheets for heating plate packages provided with a surface coating.

Generic heating plate packs for regenerative heat exchangers are already known from DE-B-26 16 816. However, it is already known for the construction of such heating plate packs to provide the superimposed flow channels between them which are left free and at least partially profiled, for example provided with stampings, in accordance with GB-A-992 413 with a surface protection coating made of enamel. The sheets having the enamel layer are used simultaneously with two different types of profiling, one of which is flat and the other is relatively high. While the relatively flat profile under one Inclination angle to the plate edges, that is, obliquely extends over the plate surface, the relatively high profile is parallel to the longitudinal boundary edges of the plate. In each case in the intersection areas between the combs of the flat profile and the combs of the high profile, adjacent heating plates are supported against one another within the heating plate package. Wherever a comb of the high profile comes to rest in the area of the edge of a plate, edge contact with the combs of the flat profile of the heating plate adjacent in the heating plate package also takes place.

Heating plate packs made of sheets with a coating serving as surface protection, especially enamelling, are always used in regenerative heat exchangers if, despite the risk of corrosion, they should have a sufficiently long service life and / or if the heating surfaces must be kept clean to reduce the risk of fire.

When the profiled sheets are packaged to form the heating sheet stack, it often happens that the edge areas of adjacent sheets come into contact with one another before the other surface areas. This has the disadvantageous consequence that the surface coating flakes off in the edge area, so that the surface protection is lost there and consequently an increased risk of corrosion arises.

The invention aims to overcome the disadvantages that arise when packaging the known profiled sheets into a heating sheet package. Therefore, the task for the solution is to prevent damage to the surface protection coating on the edge edges of the profiled sheets and therefore also to avoid partial corrosion risk on the profiled sheets of the heating sheet packages.

The object of the invention is therefore fundamentally characterized in that at least the edge edges of the metal sheets lying directly adjacent to one another run at a minimum distance from one another at all points or are aligned without contact with one another. For this purpose, it is only necessary to provide all or a certain proportion of the sheets at their marginal edges with a flatter profile or profile than over their remaining surface areas.

Since a mutual contact contact of sheets lying directly on top of one another along their edge edges is prevented, there can be no chipping of the edge protection layer resulting from the accumulation of material as a result of stress conditions. This also applies to profiled sheets in which the surface protection coating, in particular an enamel layer, has accumulated along the edge edges of the coating material, resulting in a slight, but somewhat bulge-like, thickening compared to that Forms surface coating.

The invention further provides that the minimum distance between the edge edges of the sheets is greater than the normal coating thickness and also greater than the coating thickness on the side faces of the edge edges facing each other. Touch voltages between the bead-like thickened edge edge coatings are avoided in any case and without any additional effort when assembling the heating plate packs.

A practical possibility to solve the problem is that the profiling height of the sheets is reduced at least in the area of their peripheral edges compared to the profiling height of their other surface areas. This can be done in that two directly adjacent one another Only one sheet has a profiled edge at a time, while the edge of the other sheet runs straight. However, it is also possible to provide one of two parallel edge edges of a sheet with a profile, while the other runs straight, and in this case to arrange the sheets lying directly adjacent to one another in their plane rotated by 180 ° relative to one another.

The edge edges of the sheets which have the minimum spacing from one another are expediently provided within the heating sheet stack in such a way that they face the leading and trailing edges of the heat exchanger, i.e. with their bulge-like thickened surface coating, they run transversely to the direction of impact of the - aggressive - media acting on the heat exchanger.

The process according to the invention for the production of profiled sheets for heating sheet packets by rolling, pressing or embossing is essentially characterized in that other deformation forces are exerted on the zones of the sheets running along the edge edges in the sense of a flattening or tapering of the profile than on their remaining surface area. These other deformation forces can be generated at the same time as the actual profiling of the sheets. The edge edge processing of the sheets takes place here simultaneously with the production of their actual profiling.

However, it is also provided according to the invention that the zones of the metal sheets running along the peripheral edges can be re-rolled, pressed or embossed in order to maintain the profile flattening or tapering there.

A device according to the invention for practicing the type of method consists of two profiling tool halves which can be brought into action from opposite sides on the flat sheet metal. It is characterized in that the areas of the profiling tool halves assigned to the edge edges of the metal sheets enclose between them a step-shaped offset or converging shaping profile.

Roller pairs or pairs of pressure plates or embossing plates with end sections or edge zones that are at least slightly inclined or stepped in relation to their main working plane can be used as profiling tool halves.

If the device is equipped with profiling roller pairs, the rollers are provided at their ends with annular, smooth roller sections.

A device for practicing the method with which the zones of the sheets running along the edge edges can be re-rolled, pressed or embossed in the sense of a profile flattening is characterized by two post-mold halves which can be brought into action from opposite sides on the already profiled sheet narrow edge areas adjoining the edge edges of the sheets. Here, too, pairs of rollers or pairs of pressure plates or embossing plates with weakly inclined and profiled or offset and smooth and shaping surfaces can be used as postforming tool halves. In the event that a pair of postforming rollers is used, its rollers are designed as folding rollers.

In FIG. 1 of the drawing, a cutout area from a heating plate stack 1 is shown, which is formed by a plurality of plates 2 lying directly or stacked one on top of the other, which are arranged, for example, alternately one above the other in two groups 2a and 2b.

At least the sheets 2 of group 2a, but preferably the sheets 2 of both groups 2a and 2b are profiled 3, z. B. in the form of features, as can be clearly seen in the sheets 2 of group 2a in Figure 1 of the drawing.

The individual profiles 3 have the form of irregular wavy lines on the sheets 2 of group 2a, which, however, do not only extend in the transverse direction of the sheets, as can be seen in FIG. 1, but also extend in the longitudinal direction of the sheet.

The profilings 3 or forms, which run in the manner of irregular wavy lines, are of course molded into the individual sheets 2 in repeated repetition, as can also be seen in FIG. 1 of the drawing.

The profiles 3, for example in the form of shapes, leave a plurality of flow channels 4 between two adjacent or stacked plates 2 within the heating plate stack 1, which alternately act on the different heat exchange media in the main flow direction of the regenerative heat exchanger equipped with the heating plate stack 1 become. It is advantageous if the flow channels 4 delimited between the sheets 2 of the heating sheet stack 1 are not only essentially in the main flow direction of the heat exchange media run, but also deviate significantly along the plates from the straight main flow direction.

This design of the heating plate stack 1 in conjunction with the corrugation which runs irregularly both in the transverse direction and in the longitudinal direction thereof, for. B. Profiles formed by expressions 3 brings about a considerable increase in the heat transfer coefficients while reducing the pressure losses.

All of the sheets 2 in the heating sheet stack assigned to groups 2a and 2b are equipped with a coating 5 serving as surface protection, in particular an enamel layer 5, as shown in FIG. 3 of the drawing.

When this coating 5 is applied, accumulations of material 7 in the form of a bead-like thickening can form along the edge 6 of the sheets 2, which ensure the advantage of an increased protective action against aggressive components of the media at the edge 6. However, this protective effect is only permanently ensured if the flaking off of the coating 5 and, in particular, of the material accumulations 7 in the region of the edge edges 6 of the metal sheets 2 is countered.

In order to counter the possibility of the coating 5 flaking off and, if necessary, the accumulations of material 7 which occur as a bulge-like thickening in the area of the edge edges 6 of the sheets 2, their profiles 3, which are produced, for example, as shapes, are designed such that at least the edge edges 6 of the sheets 2 of the two groups lying adjacent or directly stacked on top of one another at all points run at a minimum distance 8 from one another or are aligned without contact with one another, as can be seen both from FIG. 1 and from FIG. 2 of the drawing.

The minimum distance 8 between the edge edges 6 of the sheets 2 of adjacent groups 2a and 2b should in any case be larger than the thickness of the coating 5 in the region of the bead-like thickening formed by the material accumulation 7.

In the simplest case, the conditions for maintaining the minimum distance 8 between the edge edges 6 of sheets 2 lying directly on top of one another can be met by at least one of them not being provided with a profile 3 over an edge strip of appropriate width, but rather being kept completely level, as is the case which is shown in Figures 1 and 2 of the drawing on the sheets 2 of group 2b.

The structure shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 of the drawing for a heating plate stack 1 can in turn be achieved by only one of two plates 2 lying directly adjacent to one another having a profiled edge 6, as shown by the plates of group 2a in FIG. 1, while the edge 6 of the other sheet 2 runs straight, as can be seen there from the group 2b.

To form a heating plate stack 1 constructed in this way, it is possible to use plates 2 in which only one of two parallel edge edges 6 is provided with a profile, while the other is straight, and that the plates 2 lying directly adjacent to one another in their The plane can be rotated relative to one another by 180 °.

Sheets 2, which have at least one or less of their profile along one of their peripheral edges 6 than on their entire remaining surface, can be produced by rolling, pressing or embossing, that is to say in various mechanical ways. In this case, 2 other zones are formed on the zones of the metal sheets running along the peripheral edges 6 Deforming forces exerted than on the central area on which the profiles 3 for delimiting the flow channels 4 are located.

The shaping in the area of the marginal edges 6 and the production of the profiling 3 can be carried out simultaneously or in one work step by appropriately designing the profiling tools, which can be carried out in the form of pairs of rollers or pairs of pressure plates or embossing plates.

However, it is also possible to reroll, repress or stamp the zones of the metal sheets 2 running along the edge edges 6 by means of a subsequent operation, that is to say after the profiling has already taken place, in the sense of a flattening of the profile.

According to FIGS. 4 to 6, a pair of rollers 11, the rollers 12 and 13 of which have a complementary matching profile of their bale circumference, can be seen as a device for producing sheets 2 for the construction of heating plate packages 1.

Over the major part 14 of their bale length, the two rollers 12 and 13 of the pair of rollers 11 have the more or less irregular initial configuration which produces the profile 3 in the form of features, as can be seen from FIG. 5 of the drawing.

On the other hand, over the smaller part 15 of the bale length, the two rollers 12 and 13 of the roller pair 11 have shaping surfaces which are stepped against one another and are circular over their circumference, as can be seen from FIG.

With the aid of a pair of rollers 11 designed in this way, sheets 2 can be produced in one operation, which are only completely flat along an edge 6 parallel to the direction of passage, while their remaining surface area with the more or less irregular profile 3 in the form of features.

Of course, it is also possible to first guide the sheets 2 over their entire width through a pair of rolls 11, which has a bale profile of the individual rolls 12 and 13 indicated in FIG. 5. Then the profiled sheet 2 can be passed with its one edge 6 through a further but narrow pair of rollers, the rollers 12 and 13 of which have a smooth, circular bale shape, in order thereby to re-roll the area of the edge 6 in the sense of a profile flattening.

While sheets 2 can be produced in one continuous operation, for example by processing strip material, by using pairs of rollers explained with reference to FIGS. 4 to 6, prefabricated sheet blanks can be produced in an equivalent manner, but discontinuously, using pairs of pressure plates or embossing plates manufacture with the help of presses.

In FIGS. 7 to 10 of the drawing, options are also indicated that the object on which the invention is based can also be achieved in that the profiling height of the sheets 2 is reduced at least in the area of their peripheral edges 6 compared to the other surface areas.

Figur 8 verdeutlicht hingegen, daß die gleiche Möglichkeit auch erreichbar ist, wenn die Profilierung 3 der Bleche 2 zur Randkante 6 hin einseitig konvergierend ausläuft.FIG. 7 shows that it is possible to allow the profiling 3 of the sheets 2 to converge on both sides towards their edge edges 6 in order to achieve the desired minimum distance 8 in the region of the edge edges 6. FIG. 8, on the other hand, illustrates that the same possibility can also be achieved if the profiling 3 of the sheets 2 ends on one side converging towards the edge 6.

Während in Figur 9 (vgl. While in Figure 9 (see arrow IX in Figures 7 and 8) the maximum Profiling height 9 of the sheets 2 is shown at a lateral distance from their edge edges 6, results from Figure 10 (see arrow X in Fig. 7 and 8) their reduced profile height 10 in the area of their edge edges 6, which in turn, the minimum distance 8 between the Edge edges 6 of two sheets 2 lying next to one another are determined.

For the production of the sheets 2 designed according to FIGS. 7 to 10, devices can be used which consist of two profiling tool halves which can be brought into action from opposite sides on the flat sheet metal. The areas of these profiling tool halves assigned to the edge edges 6 of the sheets 2 must include a converging shaping profile corresponding to FIGS. 7 or 8, taking into account the sheet thickness to be machined in each case. In this case too, the device can be fitted with pairs of rollers or presses. or pairs of embossing plates, which act on the sheets 2 either only in one work step or in two successive work steps.

Finally, it should also be mentioned that the heating plate packs 1 are assembled from the sheets 2 of groups 2a and 2b in such a way that the marginal edges 6 of the sheets 2, which have the minimum spacing 8 from one another, are turned towards the upstream and downstream sides of the heat exchanger media and consequently that Material accumulation of the bead-like thickening of its coating 5 comes to rest at locations which are exposed to a particularly high risk of corrosion.

The basic idea of the measure explained above is the creation of enamelled heating plates 2 with flattened edge zones, which can be put together to form heating plate packages 1 for heat exchangers. The following measures are particularly important:
  • All or a certain proportion of the sheets 2 is flatter at the edge edges 6 than profiled over the remaining surface areas or even designed to be straight or smooth.
  • The flatter profiled or straight or smooth edge zones of the sheets 2 face the inflow and outflow sides in the heating sheet pack 1.
  • The specially designed edge edges 6 of the sheets 2 are formed during the profiling process, for example by means of profiling rollers, by appropriate design of the shaping tool, for example the pair of profiling rollers.
  • The profile height of the sheets 2 is shaped or shaped to converge towards the edge edges 6 of the sheets by a conical shape at the ends of the profiling tools.
  • Flat or straight and smooth marginal edges 6 of the sheets 2 can be produced with pairs of profiled rollers which have smooth, annular sections at their ends.
  • In the case of sheets 2, for example, which are initially provided with a uniformly strong profiling by rolling, a further working step is followed, which completely or partially levels out the area of the edge edges 6 of the sheets.
  • The marginal edges 6 of sheets 2 which have already been provided with a uniformly strong profiling and are cut to size are leveled with the aid of a press.
