Pressure medium lines, valves and other control elements required to actuate the cylinder-piston units 17, 18 are only partially indicated in the drawing. Between the inner plunger 16 and the platen 4, a working space 19 of the press is formed, in which, on the inner plunger 16, on the one hand, and the platen 4, on the other hand, cooperating tools, not shown, are arranged in the drawing.

Claims (3)

  1. Mechanical-hydraulic press which has an outer ram (13) which is guided in the frame (1, 2, 3) and can be driven by means of a crank drive (8), having an eccentric shaft (5) mounted in the frame, bound by its path in the operating direction of the press, and which press is provided with an inner ram (16) which is guided in the outer ram (13) and can he driven by means of at least one hydraulic piston/cylinder unit (17, 18), connected between the outer ram and the inner ram, independently of the crank drive (8) likewise in the operating direction of the press relative to the outer ram (13) and can be actuated in the opposite direction, there being provided at least one mating of a tool attached to the inner ram (16) and a counter-tool which interacts with said tool and is arranged fixed on the frame, characterized in that there are provided, between the outer ram (13) and the inner ram (16), at least two piston/cylinder units (17), arranged symmetrically to the common centre-plane (II-II) of said rams and acting only in the operating direction and, in the common centre-plane (II-II) or symmetrically thereto, at least one further piston/cylinder unit (18) acting only in the opposite direction.
  2. Press according to Claim 1, characterized in that at least the control of the piston/cylinder units (17) acting in the operating direction contains at least one proportional valve.
  3. Press according to Claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the guides (14) of the outer ram (13) in the frame (1, 2, 3) extend right into the region of the operating space (19) of the press between the inner ram (16) and the press table (1) fixed on the frame and beyond the guides (15) of the inner ram (16) in the outer ram (13).
