Zum Entfernen von Lauge aus dem Laugenbehälter müßte in die Druckleitung der Laugenpumpe ein steuerbares Ventil eingeschaltet sein, damit die Lauge während der Trommeldrehung nicht ständig entfernt wird. Wegen des mit der Trommeldrehung gekoppelten Betriebs, insbesondere bei hohen Schleuderdrehzahlen, ist der bekannte Pumpenantrieb sehr verschleißanfällig. Da die Laugenpumpe an einer senkrechten Wandung angeordnet ist, bleibt am Boden des Laugenbehälters zum Ende eines Abpumpvorganges immer noch ein erhebliches Restvolumen von Lauge zurück.A generic washing machine is known from DE-U-87 03 645. Erfindungsgemäß wird diese Aufgabe dadurch gelöst, daß die Öffnung des Laugenbehälters dem antriebseitigen Lagerschild des Pumpengehäuses gegenüberliegt und an der tiefsten Stelle der Wandung angeordnet ist und daß das Pumpengehäuse flach unter der Wandung liegt. Hierdurch können die Wasserwege so stark verkürzt werden, daß das "tote" Laugenvolumen extrem klein bleibt. Da beim Einspülen von Waschmittel in den Laugenbehälter kaum Waschmittelanteile über die nunmehr gegenüber der Auslaßöffnung kleinere Zulauföffnung, die teilweise sogar von der Nabe des Flügelrades ausgefüllt wird, in die Pumpenkammer gelangen können und auch bei turbulenter Bewegung der Lauge innerhalb des Laugenbehälters kaum ein Laugenaustausch zwischen dem Laugenbehälter und der Pumpenkammer stattfindet, muß man hier keine ungenutzten Waschmittel- und Heizenergieanteile fürchten. Außerdem ist hiermit der Aufwand an Flüssigkeits-Führungsmitteln extrem klein geworden, weil der Verbindungsschlauch von der Auslaßöffnung zum Saugstutzen der gebräuchlichen Laugenpumpen wegfällt. Da Teile des Laugenbehälters für die Darstellung der Pumpenkammer mit benutzt werden, ist auch die Herstellung der Laugenpumpe vereinfacht. Ihr Gehäuse umfaßt lediglich noch den antriebseitigen Lagerschild und den Mantel der Pumpenkammer mit angegossenem Druckstutzen. In bezug auf die weitgehend restlose Entleerung eines trommelartigen Waschmaschinen-Laugenbehälters ist die erfindungsgemäße Anordnung der Pumpe am Laugenbehälter besonders vorteilhaft. Hierbei verbleibt wegen des bei einer aufrecht stehenden Flügelrad-Pumpe etwas höher als die tiefste Stelle des Laugenbehältermantels liegenden, mittigen Zulaufs zur Pumpe noch ein Laugenrest im Laugenbehälter. Da der mittige Zulauf der flach liegenden Pumpe etwa in der Ebene der tiefsten Stelle des Laugenbehältermantels liegt, kann nämlich am Ende des Abpumpvorganges bei dieser Anordnung kein Laugenrest im Laugenbehälter verbleiben. Da der mittige Zulauf ferner recht klein ist und von der Nabe des Flügelrades der Pumpe teilweise ausgefüllt wird und die Pumpe vor einem Waschmittel-Einspülvorgang mit aus dem Abpumpschlauch zurückgelaufener Lauge gefüllt ist, besteht keine Gefahr, daß wesentliche Anteile des frisch eingespülten Waschmittels in der Pumpenkammer verschwinden.According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the opening of the tub opposite the drive-side end shield of the pump housing and is arranged at the lowest point of the wall and that the pump housing lies flat under the wall.
