Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a drive device for a plan sifter, with a vertically arranged drive shaft driven by a drive motor, connected to an unbalanced mass.
Plansifters of the aforementioned type are screening machines which e.g. are used in milling plants to screen meal or meal products in order to e.g. to separate from intermediate products arising in the grinding process, to sort the product and to sort, classify and classify products such as semolina, rice, flour, malting barley or other granular or floury products.
Basically, with such a plan sifter, horizontally arranged screens of different mesh sizes, which are arranged vertically one above the other in stacks, are moved on a circular path at a predetermined rotational speed. The sieves are formed by sieve frames arranged in stacks, which are covered with the sieves of different mesh sizes and put together in stacks and are inserted independently of one another into the cabinet-shaped sieve housings which accommodate a plurality of stacks. The sieve frames are preferably arranged in segments that can be moved vertically in pairs. In general, two cabinet-shaped sieve housings are used, which are provided symmetrically on both sides of a drive housing which is arranged in a sandwich arrangement between the sieve housings and which contains the drive device (unbalance drive). Normally, a total of four to eight stacks of sieve frames are inserted into the sieve housing, the end of the sieve housing is firmly connected to the drive housing in between via a connection carrier and the whole The plan sifter is elastically suspended from the ceiling rails by suspension rods, preferably glass fiber reinforced plastic rods. The product is fed through an inlet bench arranged on the top of the sieve housing through hoses, while the product discharge of the product, which is separated into several fractions of different grain sizes, takes place via associated outlet benches below the plan sifter, with the actual material feeding also being effected by hoses.
An unbalance drive with a built-in, oscillating motor is used as the drive device of the plan sifter, which has a vertically arranged drive shaft with a flywheel or unbalanced mass fixedly arranged on it at a constant distance. The drive shaft is rotatably supported by bearings in the drive housing, which in turn is rigidly connected to the sieve housings containing the sieve stacks through the lateral connecting supports, on which the entire plan sifter is suspended by glass fiber-reinforced polyester rods combined into groups on both sides. When the oscillating drive motor and the flywheel or unbalanced mass connected to the drive shaft are driven, the drive housing is driven to produce an oscillating movement of the entire, elastically suspended plan sifter which brings about the screening.
The plan sifter goes through several drive phases until it reaches its steady operating state. In the start-up state, the vibration system consisting of the unbalance drive and the sieve and drive housings moves almost synchronously. The direction of vibration of the exciter consisting of the drive shaft and the unbalance mass (unbalance drive) is in phase with the direction of vibration of the mass of the plan sifter. As the speed of the unbalance drive increases a corresponding phase shift occurs in a non-stationary area between the exciting and the excited mass. Before the steady state is reached, a range of critical speeds of the unbalance drive must be run through. In this area, resonance phenomena occur, that is, the increase in the vibration amplitude of the plan sifter progresses until the stationary operating state is reached and the vibration system is again in a synchronous state, that is, the phase position of the vibration of the unbalance drive matches the phase position of the vibration of the plan sifter. Damage to the plan sifter can occur in the critical speed range, in particular the feed and discharge hoses of the screened material are at risk and the elastic suspension of the plan sifter is subject to loads that can lead to the suspension rods breaking.
The increase in the vibration amplitude of the plan sifter is a function of time and when it reaches its steady operating state, the vibration amplitude drops abruptly to the normal operating value which ensures the intended function of the plan sifter. The longer the critical, non-stationary phase lasts, the greater the vibration amplitude in the case of resonance. For these reasons, there is a tendency to install drive motors with high power and to use the power reserve thus created to shorten the non-stationary starting process. This power reserve, which leads to a substantial increase in costs, is essentially not required in the operating speed range.
It has also already been proposed to use an unbalance exciter whose unbalance drive has an unbalanced mass which is fixed in its distance from the axis of rotation. This way too, the problem of Resonance vibrations can not be solved satisfactorily.
The invention is therefore based on the object to provide a drive device of the type mentioned in such a way that it is dimensioned according to the drive power required in the stationary operating state and non-stationary starting and stopping processes can be shortened to a technologically required minimum duration.
This object is achieved in that the unbalanced mass variable distance connected to the drive shaft and the distance of the unbalanced mass from the drive shaft is continuously variable depending on the speed of the drive shaft.
According to a particularly preferred embodiment of the invention, the unbalanced mass forms an elongated cylinder body which is arranged parallel to the drive shaft and which is articulated by means of spaced joint bearings with associated couplings on spaced links which are firmly connected to the drive shaft.
Further preferred configurations of the subject matter of the invention are set out in the remaining subclaims.
The particular advantage of the unbalance drive device according to the invention is that drive motors with a lower drive power can be used, since no power reserve which is coordinated with the start-up process of the plan sifter has to be taken into account when designing the drive device. As a result, both a lighter and less expensive drive arrangement is realized.

Such plansifters are operated in a hanging arrangement and consist of oppositely arranged sieve housings containing the sieves in a plurality of vertical sieve stacks, between which a drive housing containing the drive device is arranged and connected to form a structural unit. The drive device forms an unbalance drive with an oscillating drive motor in order to set the sieve housing and the sieves arranged in them into an oscillating movement via the drive housing, as is customary with such plan sifters and is therefore not shown here.
Fig. 1 zeigt die Antriebseinrichtung im Ruhezustand. Fig. 1 shows the drive device in the idle state. In this embodiment, the
In the idle state (Fig. 1) acts on the
The idle state shown in Fig. 1, in which the
With increasing speed of the
Fig. 2 shows the drive device in the rotational state at operating speed, in which the plan sifter is in its stationary operation at nominal speed, the
If the natural frequency of the plan sifter coincides with the frequency forced by the unbalance drive device, formed from the
It is therefore sufficient to match the drive power of the drive device to the stationary, uncritical operating state.
The critical speed range is also run through without any problems at the end of the run.
