Description

The invention relates to a seat belt buckle for receiving and locking an insertion tongue with a housing and an insertion path for the insertion tongue containing an ejector under spring action, with a locking device which interacts with the tongue recess in the event of locking and which locks the insertion tongue in the insertion path, and with a guided in the breech housing, spring-loaded and designed in two parts with a sliding key body and a push-in push-button designed sliding key for releasing the locking, whereby a spring arranged between the push-button body and push-button field as sensor spring holds the push-button panel essentially in the extended position when accelerations occur and when the push-button is operated manually a relative movement between the keypad and sliding key body can be implemented in the actuation of the lock.

A generic seat belt buckle is described in DE-A-38 11 429; then it is provided that the sliding button body is locked against the closure housing, so that the accelerating forces acting on the closure body in its rest position remains, the acceleration-related insertion of the keypad into the sliding key body does not cancel this locking of the sliding key body in the lock housing. Only the manual actuation of the keypad can release the locking of the sliding key body in the lock housing, so that the sliding key body brings about the unlocking of the locking mechanism as the opening stroke progresses.

The known lock has the disadvantage that the unlocking of the sliding button body in the lock housing opposes the normal opening movement of the lock which starts from the user, which reduces the ease of use of the lock. Furthermore, the locking forces on the one hand and the opening forces emanating from the approved insertion of the keypad into the sliding key body on the other hand must be exactly coordinated with one another in order to avoid unlocking the sliding key body in the lock housing with the required security. Finally, the known closure has a complicated structure because the means for locking the sliding button body on the one hand and for releasing the locking on the other hand must be appropriately provided.

The invention is therefore based on the object of improving a generic seat belt buckle in such a way that, with a high degree of operating comfort, the buckle is shock-protected against acceleration forces acting in the direction of action of the sliding button, the structure of the buckle should be simple.

This object is achieved, including advantageous refinements and developments, from the content of the patent claims, which follow this description.

The basic idea of the invention provides that the sliding key body with keypad can be pushed into the closure housing in the acceleration direction when the keypad is not actuated without releasing the lock of the lock in the opening direction of the sliding key.

The embodiment of the invention has the advantage that the locking of the lock is actuated only when the keypad is pressed into the sliding button body and then moved together with the sliding button body in the sense of an unlocking movement for locking the lock. Only the insertion of the keypad into the sliding key body leads to the formation of an outer shape of the sliding key body by correspondingly projecting parts with which the sliding key body acts on the locking. As long as the keypad is not inserted into the sliding key body, the sliding key body can be moved freely in the lock housing, for example by acceleration forces, without actuating the lock. In this embodiment, it is only necessary to ensure that the sensor spring between the sliding key body and the keypad is designed in such a way that the keypad is suitable for actuating the lock in the event of a shock-like load does not or does not insert too far into the sliding key body. The usual free travel to cover manufacturing tolerances is shown in the drawing. In the event of a shock, the sliding key body, including the keypad, can then move without influencing the locking in the lock housing, so that the sensor spring advantageously has to intercept only the mass of the keypad and the entire sliding key with the sliding key body and keypad cannot be secured against a shock load.

According to one embodiment, it is provided that a rocker arm actuated by the keypad when it is inserted into the sliding key body is arranged in the sliding key body and can be pivoted out of the contour of the sliding key body and thereby forms a stop for actuating the lock. Here, the rocker arm acts as a transmission element, with which the pushing-in movement of the keypad into the sliding key body, during the normal actuation of the closure for pivoting out a stop, ensures the actuation of the lock from the sliding key body. Since at the same time it is provided that the rocker arm is held in its position pivoted into the contour of the sliding key body via a return spring which is supported on the sliding key body, the sliding key body can be moved freely in the lock housing within the meaning of the invention when the keypad is not inserted, without actuating the Interlock is connected. It is only when the keypad is pushed into the sliding key body with the relative movement associated with it that the rocker arm is actuated and a corresponding stop is pivoted out to actuate the lock. Acceleration forces also act on the rocker arm, and therefore the lever should either be at the center of gravity be stored or have a behavior supporting the spring for supporting the rocker arm by appropriate mass distribution.

According to another exemplary embodiment, an actuating rod carrying the keypad is displaceable in the sliding key body such that when the keypad moves relative to the sliding key body, the end of the actuating rod emerges from the contour of the sliding key body and thus acts on the locking of the closure. In this embodiment, the arrangement of a separate transmission element is dispensed with; rather, the actuating rod, which is also used to guide the keypad, is immediately used as a transmission element for actuating the lock. Preferably, this actuating rod is guided in a channel which penetrates the sliding key body at an angle, but this also means that when the key field is actuated, the key field is offset relative to the sliding key body.

If this disadvantage is to be avoided, it can also be provided according to the invention that the actuating rod is formed from a plurality of articulated sections, so that a rectilinear channel with a rectilinear movement of the keypad can be arranged, which is only deflected in its end region in this way, that the end of the operating rod emerges from the contour of the sliding key body.

In the exemplary embodiments with an actuating rod guided in a channel, it is expedient to provide on the actuating rod a projection which engages in a recess in the sliding key body which defines the displacement path.

A preferred embodiment of the invention provides that the keypad with actuating rod, the sensor spring and the sliding key body from a single, Form part made of plastic, wherein the sensor spring adjoining the keypad and the sliding key body is each connected to the components via film hinges. Parts of this type can be easily produced, in particular by injection molding, and inserted into the mechanism of the closure.

The invention is not limited to generic closures, in which the slide button movement acts directly on a bolt of the closure, but it is also applicable to closure types in which a latch stored in the closure housing under self-opening tendency is secured by a securing element in its locked position; Such a design of the closure results, for example, from DE-A-27 19 325. The invention can also be used for such closures, the sliding key body then acting on the securing element with its stop emerging from its contour when the keypad is actuated, this element in the further movement of the slide button in its release position, so that the self-opening latch moves into its release position for the tongue.

The embodiment shown in the figures shows a seat belt buckle, in which the bolt of a buckle lock is fixed via a locking element guided in the buckle housing, which is acted upon by the slide button during its unlocking movement. Since the locking mechanism is not the subject of the present invention, the lock can also be designed so that the slide button interacts directly with the bolt when it is unlocked.

According to Figure 1, a seat belt buckle 10 consists of a one-piece lock plate 11, which is bent in the area of its attachment to an anchoring part 12 to two legs 13, 14 of equal length, between which an insertion tongue 15 can be inserted against the action of an ejector 16. The closure has two side walls 17 which give the closure a U-shaped configuration; in the side walls 17, a bolt 18 is rotatably mounted in a joint 19 in the rear region perpendicular to the insertion plane for the insertion tongue 15. The bolt 18 is in the same direction with the sliding button 20 in the side walls 17 of the closure 10 secured locking element 22 secured, which is slidably guided in elongated holes 21 in the side walls 17. In its securing position to be arranged on the sliding button 20, the securing element 22 rests on a projection of the latch 18 and secures it against an opening. During the unlocking movement, the sliding button 20 with the configuration according to the invention and still to be described acts on the securing element 22 and moves it into a release position for the latch 18. Thus latch 18 and securing element 22 form the locking of the closure.

The sliding key 20 in detail consists of a sliding key body 25 and a keypad 26 which is guided in the sliding key body 25 by means of an actuating rod 27. A sensor spring 28 is arranged between the sliding key body 25 and the keypad 26, which prestresses the keypad 26 in its extended position. The sensor spring 28 is dimensioned so strong that it is able to hold the keypad in the extended position when accelerations occur in the direction of movement of the sliding key. The contour of the slide button body 25 is adjusted in such a way that it can be freely moved relative to the securing element 22.

In the sliding key body 25, a rocker arm 29 is mounted such that one leg 30 cooperates with the actuating rod 27 of the keypad 26 and that its other leg 31 emerges from the contour of the sliding key body 25 when the rocker arm 29 is pivoted. The rocker arm 29 is in its contour by a restoring spring 32 which is supported between the leg 30 and the sliding button body 25 of the sliding key body 25 loaded position, in which the keypad 26 is in its forward position.

Figure 2a shows a schematic representation of the slide button in its initial position. FIG. 2b shows the behavior of the slide button when a shock-like acceleration occurs, which would lead to the lock being unlocked without the inventive design. After the closure has first been tightened in the direction of arrow 37, there is a strong braking of the closure body at the end of the tightening process, so that the slide button 20 seeks to continue its movement in the tightening direction 37 and thereby to insert a movement into the closure. Since the sensor spring 28 prevents the keypad 26 from being pushed into the sliding button body 25 in the direction of the arrow 37, pushing the sliding button 20 into the lock under the effect of the acceleration forces that occur can be accepted because, as can be seen from FIG. 2b, the slide button 20 is freely displaceable relative to the securing element 22, so that the insertion of the slide button 20 into the closure body 10 does not lead to the lock being unlocked.

In contrast, FIG. 2c shows the sequence of movements when the slide button 20 is actuated in the sense of an intentional unlocking of the closure. In this case, pressure is exerted on the keypad 26 and, overcoming the force of the spring 28, the keypad is inserted into the sliding key body 25, the actuating rod 27 pivoting the rocker arm 29, so that the leg 31 pivots out of the contour of the sliding key body 25 and, during the further insertion movement of the sliding key body 25 against the action of the sliding key spring 23 in the closure housing, acts on the securing element 22 and moves it into its release position. Thus, a movement sequence for unlocking the lock is ensured when unlocking is desired.

In the exemplary embodiment shown in FIGS. 3a, b and 4, the actuating rod 27 carrying the keypad 26 is mounted so as to be longitudinally displaceable in a channel 33 passing obliquely through the sliding key body 25 such that when the keypad 26 is pressed into the sliding key body 25, the free end of the actuating rod 27 is out the contour of the sliding button body 25 emerges and thus forms the stop for the actuation of the securing element 22. To secure the actuating rod 27 in the sliding key body 25 and to determine the displacement path, the actuating rod 27 has a projection 34 which is guided in an associated recess 35 in the sliding key body 25. The arranged between the sliding key body 25 and the keypad 26 sensor spring 28 is like the keypad and the sliding key body also made of plastic and integrally connected to the two aforementioned parts via film hinges 39, so that the sliding key body 25, keypad 26 with actuating rod 27 and sensor spring 28 each as a plastic injection molded part can be produced. When the keypad 26 is inserted into the sliding key body 25, the oblique arrangement of the channel 33 results in a lateral offset of the keypad relative to the sliding key body.

If this offset is to be avoided, then according to the exemplary embodiment provided in FIGS. 5a, b, the actuating rod 27 can also be guided in a channel 36 arranged in a straight line in the sliding button body 25, which is bent only in its end region in such a way that the region consists of several , Existing actuating rod 27 emerges with its free end from the contour of the sliding key body 25 via film hinges 39 articulated sections 36.
