Die Figuren 6 und 7 zeigen eine andere zum Schliessen des erfindungsgemässen Spannrings dienende Schliessvorrichtung, die besonders gut zum Einbau in eine Eimer-Abfüll- und Verschliessstrasse geeignet ist. Dieser Schliesskopf 22 weist einen zylinderartigen, aber mit einer Aussparung versehenen, im Grundriss also etwa C-förmigen Körper 25 auf, der oben mit einem an dem oder an den Bolzen 23 befestigten Deckel 26 abgeschlossen ist. Die Innenfläche dieses C-förmigen Körpers 25 besitzt einen sich nach unten konisch erweiternden Abschnitt 25a, an den sich an seinem oberen Ende ein zylindrischer Abschnitt 25b anschliesst. Mittels zweier oder dreier je in einer Hülse 27 verschiebbarer Stifte 28 ist am Zylinder-Deckel 26 ein Ring 29 aufgehängt. Sein Aussendurchmesser ist, wie man aus den Figuren 6 und 7 ersehen kann, um ein weniges kleiner als der Innendurchmesser des durch den Spannring 30 zu sichernden Eimerdekkels 24. Beim weitern Abwärtsschieben drückt dieser Ring 29 als Deckelschliesser den Eimerdeckel 24 ganz in den Eimer 20 hinein; beim anschliessenden Weiterschieben des Kopfs 22 bleibt der Ring 29 auf dem Deckel 24 stehen und der C-förmige Körper 25 bewegt sich weiter nach unten. Dadurch gleitet seine konische Innenfläche 25a über den Spannring 30 und verkleinert dessen Radius, bis der Spannring den kleinstmöglichen Umfang angenommen hat, wie das in den Figuren 2, 4 und 7 dargestellt ist.   • Einerseits ist es möglich mit der erfindungsgemässen Schliessvorrichtung höhere Schliesskräfte zu erzeugen als mit einem am Spannring angeordneten Spannverschluss mit seinem doch relativ kurzen Spannhebel, so dass der Deckel dichter und sicherer mit dem Eimer verbunden ist. Andererseits ist der erfindungsgemässe Spannring frei von vorstehenden Teilen, die bei Transportunfällen, also beispielsweise bei irgendwelchen Stürzen hängenbleiben und sich dann öffnen können, und von angeschweissten Teilen, die bei Transportunfällen wegbrechen können und dann ebenfalls ein Öffnen des Spannrings zur Folge haben.
