Die in Fig. 1 dargestellte Draufsicht zeigt den linken oberen Eckenausschnitt einer im wesentlichen rechteckigen Rasenbefestigungsplatte. Die Rasenbefestigungsplatte besteht aus einer Bodenwand 1 und einer damit einstückigen und darauf senkrecht stehenden wabenartigen, sechseckigen Zellenanordnung 2. Sie wird üblicherweise aus Kunststoff und im Spritzgußverfahren hergestellt. Zur Verwurzelung der Grasnarbe mit dem Untergrund, zum Nährstoffausgleich und der Entwässerung sind in der Bodenwand 1 jeweils mittig in den einzelnen Zellen kreisrunde Öffnungen 3 ausgespart. Auf der Unterseite der Bodenwand (siehe auch Fig. 2 und 3) sind wiederum mit dieser einstückig Vorsprünge 4 in größeren Abständen angeordnet, wobei in den Zeichnungen auf den dargestellten Ausschnitt nur ein solcher Vorsprung 4 entfällt.
