Abstract

A support element for grass surfacings in the form of a plastic injection-moulded part with a honeycomb-like cellular structure, comprising a base (1) with drainage openings (3) and a honeycomb-like cellular wall arrangement (2) joined to it and with complementary connecting elements (7) arranged on the edges of the elements for linking adjacent elements, whereby the cellular structure exhibits recesses which enable grass roots to cross over between adjacent cells and whereby the recesses are formed by overflow openings (5) extending on both sides of the partitions between adjacent cells on the underside of the cellular structure, which at least penetrate the base. <IMAGE>
